*whimpers* what a disspointment! Why did they have to change the boy's body? I loved the vers2 body.
And I was hoping that I could purchace from them but Nooo~~~ not anymore.
I hate this new three picec body!

 

Oooouuu-M-G!! They actually DID all (well, most XD) of the changes I suggested them! Coincidence? I dunno. But OMG those hands! I can die happy now.

And I'm dying to see how does that dreaming Lion looks. I wish they made a dreaming Soo Ri! That would have been perfect. XD Though I hope (I REALLY hope) he's not a limited event head or something. O__o

Why does the body have to be in three pieces now?! ... @$^!@^@#$

And the boys are now... 9 dollars more expensive.

 

I actually like this new three-piece body. They managed to keep his nice, beautifully sulpted torso, yay Iplehouse! =D

Besides, I don't think an extra 9 bucks is all that much. Think about it...the exchange rate? The hours of labour that goes into these dolls? Besides, as many have stated before; this hobby is not for cheapskates.

 

Is it just me, or do the boy-bits look weird? XD

Otherwise, yum X3 I'm sure the three-piece body makes for some awesome poses!

As a hater on one piece upper torsos, this makes me very, very happy. But then, I don't like any Iple House face sculpts.


But it is a beautiful body, and looks like it will pose like a dream.

I was really worried about the new Iplehouse body, but I must say its gorgeous. I love dollshe's so the three piece body just makes me extremely happy. The little changes have made it look amazing. And with the extra joints, posing will be so much easier! Now if only I didn't decide to get my Shall first... >.<

And YES! They kept the beautifully sculpted torso! SO happy right now .

 

I'm glad I just managed to get the old body (I didn't know they were going to redesign them!).

The new one has a nicer looking, sculpted upper body but I don't think it would've suited my boy. Plus, 3 piece body I've only ever found them to be a nightmare in terms of joints popping out/finger pinching. The old body's waist joint is a tad troublesome on its own.

 

Argh. they had such a beautiful torso, it's such a shame it's a bit ruined by that new articulation. I'm not interested in 3-pieces torsos in general; perhaps it's because none of my dolls have one, but I don't see the advantage of that... meh. I still like it better than CH or Volks bodies, but I'm a bit disappointed.

 

I love the new body!!! It looks so much manlyier Too bad my Louis is going to be on a girl body though.

 

yeah I love the new body... BTW since if you order a boy now you get a free head... (for the Christmas event) How easy is it to change the heads? I want to get Lion but I'll keep the event head to exchange from time to time.

Why the B&W shots, though? Is the new display body like the last one, a tan skin, even though the choices only say normal or white?

 

Here is my take on the new body (I have my beloved Soo Ri v2 next to me):

I like it - a lot. It has a torso joint now. I love the torso joint on my DZs and Dollshe. I have had to pop Shu's hip joint around and bend him forward so he looks like he has a stomachache to get him to sit at all. I am hoping the additional joint will help posability.

The hands have been changed and it looks like the wrists may have more flexibility. The more flexible wrist joints are something I had asked for back in April.

The hip girtle has changed, too. I hope more inside flange lip is in place to keep the hip from popping out so easily all the time. The current flange is quite narrow. I even sueded Shu and it only lasted about two months, then his stringing got a little more loose and he is back to popping it out all the time and looking pregnant.

It looks like he got a slight penis revamp (a little more pointy at the end but still circumcized).

The upper thigh is now one piece instead of two. I wonder how that will affect his sitting ability. It will probably help stabilize his legs a little more. Right now, Shu can easily spin his legs around so they point to the back. I have to feel for his knees through the pants fabric to make sure his knees are forward before trying to sit him down.

It looks like the upper arms may have a little more muscle and the nipples look like they are just a little less erect (and perhaps less stabby).

The torso remains a beautiful washboard. *pets Shu's naked tummy and smiles*

I wish I could purchase one but I just cannot justify it, and I cannot guarantee the body resin would match my Shuichi's head if I got just a body.

I think I will wait and see how he poses when people start posting their new boys.

FYI: Head removal is EASY with my v2.

 

The new body looks like it has a shorter neck! That's freakin' yay because one of the reasons why I've been pushing Louis away is that his head looks too young for his body-- especially with the super long neck.

 

Why couldn't they have added the chest joint and removed the hip joint? I love my roommates' Soo Ri except for the thrice-damned hip joint. Always popping out of socket and ruining the lines of his other wise sexy body. We'd rather he'd be all one piece then have the lower joint -.-

 

They say the resin of the new body is the same than the old body's, if that helps

 

okay I've searched all over their website but the info isn't there. What size eyes do Lion take? 18mm or 16mm?

 

They come with 16mm. I use 16mm for Shuichi.

It is all a matter of taste.

I like 16mm in my Hound head and 14mm is the recommended size!

 

I personally love the body. So gorgeous. Poseability is very important to me, and it's pretty OOC for Leo to lounge around naked anyway, so he'll probably be dressed most of the time. With this and the Christmas event, I think my Lion order is being pushed forwards a month or two, yes. I'll just have to pay myself back in January.

Another good thing about the new body: Judging by the measurements, he'll fit into the sweater I just knitted. (Knitting=best cure against exam nerves ever)

I've been seriously considering Soo Ri for my first doll, I may have to buy earlier than expected as well.

 

Well I like the idea of a three piece torso and I'm sure it poses wonderfully. One of my friends is planning on getting a Soo Ri, so I'll have to mess with him once she gets him.

 

Just to add my two cents.
I'm torn.

I don't like the three-piece body. I've always disliked the look of the upper joint, it rather spoils the view for me.
And the hands look a tad too small for the body. And I ~like~ the old finger positions. I find them versatile. You can point with one hand, grab with the other.
Plus, I don't really dig the more defined abs.
And is it just me, or do the pecs look a bit longer... like saggy?

Now, the shape of the hands looks awesome.
And although there's no bum shot, from what I can see, it looks like he's got the same wonderful hinder.
But I do still love those collarbones!
And the belly button!
And I think I would adore the one-piece thighs! Those are a bit annoying when they slide out of alignment for no apparent reason.
Oh, and I still love those shin bones!
And the wonderful feet are still the same! Though they do look a touch small like the hands do.

If they got rid of that upper joint, I'd probably hock whatever I had to to get one.

I just ordered LION My Ikki is coming home!!! Wow they are fast! In less then an hour they accepted my payment and changed his status to before shipping! Of course I don't expect that to change too soon ^^;; I hope they ship him before the 10... Customs really is slow this time of year ;.; Took Ed my SoulDoll 9 days to clear last year...

BTW Is the Shoe size for Iplehouse boys SD or SD 13? I need sneakers for my Ikki.

 

I ordered that beautiful iplehouse Hound black wool overcoat last Tuesday and it arrived today - that's FIVE DAYS from order to arrival!

When I ordered Shuichi back in March, I got him in TWO weeks! AND he had a faceup!

 

yeah i order my silvia 3 weeks ago and she shipped today pretty dam good really considering luts took two months with my lishe and narae a month or so. Soo ri was order last sunday and i hope he wont take long but its dec now so probably lots of orders went in hopefully ill get him soonish.

I'm dying to see pictures of the dreaming Lion head too... I love the sculpt, but there's something about Lion's eyes that bug me, the gaze is too hard and staring. A dreaming Lion may be just the right sculpt for my future Jonatan.

 

Siiiiighs It's December 16th in Korea and they still haven't listed the sleeping heads be it male or female. I think we'll only see them as owner pictures... Wanna bet that when one person post it here they'll post it at the same time on the website?

 

*sighs* I suppose teh new Iple hosue body will grow on me....or I can mod the top joint into a one-piece.

I LOVE the version 4 body! I actually have my Shiwoo, Cain, on a version 2 body and love it (it is also fairly girlie and perfect for his character) and I really disliked the v3 body, I am not a fan of only having a hip joint, the torso joint gives much better posability and I don't feel it ruins the lines.....Cain's twin Bro is coming at Christmas and I was gonna swap out his CP body for a Domuya Flexi, but this has me thinking....and I know the BW resin match is good....

 

It seems now that Iplehouse WON'T post the sleeping heads on their site... making this truly a Christmas present.

I ordered Soo Ri two weeks ago, and I thought I would just sell the dreaming Lion head that comes with him once they arrive, but now that I saw photos of the dreaming heads, I have changed my mind! He's just gorgeous!

 

There are WAY to many totally gorgeous male dolls out there! And this one is right up there with the best!

Has anyone with a V3 body (the long-legged one, 1 pc.chest torso with separate hip jiont) gotten the V4 body (2-piece chest & sep. hip joint)?

The IP site just mentions some stabilizing, and bulking up of the shoulder width, arm girth, etc. Has there been any height difference? And I put up a thread in the Photo-Request category asking for pictures (http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=115057 ), since IP still hasn't released any pix of the back of the new body, although they said they modified the back (spine) carving. And no pix of the tooshie yet.

BTW - while I was searching whatever open Q&A threads there were on the IP site regarding the body, it was mentioned by IP that resin color can vary a slight bit - depending on what company the body is made at. So, obviously, they have several companies producing bodies for them, which would explain the differences I've seen in the normal skin color, from an almost CP-like flesh tone to a very pale beige.
