Shipping Iplehouse: a bunch of questions

1) Yes they do but sometimes if its out of their business hours it takes a while, but Ive not seen them skip anyone in a while.

2) I cant help you but generally Shipping to the US for a full large doll such as an EID is about $80 (or has been in the three times Ive ordered) You can check by putting the items in the cart and checking the drop down for shipping fee for your area.

3) They mark down without you asking generally I think.. My EID Carina was marked at $80 and my Tedros was $100 if I remember. @_@

The rest I can't help you with, lol sorry about it.

 

1. Yes they do, but most doll companies that I know don't work on weekends so you'll need to wait till weekdays and be sure to know the time differences between your country and theirs since you may be awake while they are alseep. Sometimes company may take a few days to answer your question and sometimes they may have missed yours. As far I'm concern sometimes they can get busy...so waiting patiently, your question will eventually get answered :3.

2. Click on an item and add it to your cart >shopping cart> you'll see it'll ask you to select the shipping method and which zone you want it to ship to> zone4 (for Brazil) and it'll display the shipping cost but DON'T click confirm your order :3.

3. Yes, they do all the doll companies that I know mark their value down without you asking but how much varies and I know many doll company mark the price as low as $50 dollars as gifts so yes they do.

4. Urh no sorry..it should usually take within one week up to a max of two weeks I believe..

5. EMS premium is one that you'll have to select if you live in more restricted place like most of the African nations, Italy, etc..

6. Your post office delivers it to you.

 

1) They do. It might take a while sometimes though. I remember when I ordered my Iplehouse dolls last year, I ordered an EID with a JID and then noticed that they suggested not ordering other dolls together with the EID because of shipping restrictions in some counties, and I kind of panicked and posted a question. It took a little while but I DID get an answer. Just keep in mind that they're in Korea and in a very different time zone (I'm in New York and they're like 13-ish hours ahead of me) so that will influence when you get your reply.

2) The only way I can think of to do it is the way others have already suggested, by putting the items in your cart and then selecting your shipping options from the drop-down menu.

3) I honestly don't remember what they posted on my box, sorry

4) Nope, like I said I'm from New York. I'm sure there are other Brazilians somewhere around here though.

5) I don't know anything about EMS Premium, actually, but I can tell you that between this hobby and my kimono hobby I get a LOT of stuff mailed to me via EMS and have never had a problem with it.

6) In my experience with EMS, it comes through the regular postal system and will be delivered wherever you usually get your mail. That said, please be aware that if you get your mail delivered to your physical address, the post office probably won't leave the package for you and you will need to pick it up or have it re-delivered when you will actually be home as soon as possible, otherwise it will be shipped back to Korea. I don't know if the system is different in Brazil but for all of the packages I have received, they'll try to deliver it 3 times (bringing it back to the post office for safe keeping each time) before sending it back.

 

I don't believe Brazil is a Premium country, Italy and South Africa are, but I believe Brazil in EMS is Zone 4...aaaand it is. Just threw Tedros into the cart over at old Iplehouse, and Zone 4 comes to 88.10 America (I did the Superhero Body for this). Hmm, let me check the Model bod...and it's the same. So that's one thing, and the more weight you add to the package the more the shipping cost will be, that's why they don't just say 'shipping $50', because it varies by a) weight and b) country. Throw your stuff into the cart and do check-out, on the first page of check-out you can do the EMS and Zone 4 and know how much shipping will be.

Now doll companies habitually, in my experience, mark down, but if you are concerned definitely ask, and they will probably be fine with it. I've heard from other Brazilian DOA members that your customs is something like 60-70% of the price of the item being shipped, which feels quite like highway robbery when I think about it...I would not like to live in Brazil.

Oh, and the last I heard as well in a WR, the wait time will be at least a month if you're in Brazil, as there is a 'special customs' your doll will be referred to, like a secondary customs? And they usually hold it an additional couple of weeks...again, it sounds sadly horrible and my fingers are crossed they don't make you suffer exceptionally, I'm sure one of the Brazilian members can give you first-hand experience, but for now I hope my second-hand is some help!

I'm a noobie too and I have been looking at the dolls on the Iplehouse website. I have a few BJD's but only one with dark skin - my Doll Leaves Dan. I am in love with Ashanti and Kamau. It will be awhile before i can afford either of them, but I think I saw something about a sale somewhere as I was reading. Is Iplehouse having a sale? Do you have to know some secret code?

They're having a sale where you can order their custom doll system heads separately from the bodies (normally you have to order an entire doll).
