The Yoshida Books can be purchased for Hobby Link Japan (google it!) for less than $40. It's worth the weight in gold- AND ships in about a week!
I bought one off Ebay for about the same ...and very reasonable postage and I can reccomend it 100% stunning book Carolyn.S ...your ace ...again
I have the ISBN # for the Ryo Yoshida BJD making book ISBN 978-4-89425-460-2 The book is fabulous, i bought it on eBay a couple of weeks ago
Allo~ Thank you very much m(_ _)m will check if its still available in my area (though with marked-up rates ... ) -TCM
The photographs are practically explanatory in themselves, although you always get the feeling that there may be some pearls of wisdom hidden from you in the japanese text. I think that with a little planning and a reasonable idea of what you want to produce already set in your mind this book would be a big help to you when planning to make your own BJD. Personally, i have been planning for about 18 months but have'nt found the time to set aside for the project yet.....i am hoping that a long planning stage will mean i won't fall at the first hurdle! P.S. i used the word planning a lot did'nt i?
