I decided to make an interchangeable and customizeable EarCuff. These will be for sale on my website once I get it up in about a week so if you are interested, either PM me or post a reply here to let me know. The original version will come in a set with the basic ear cuff and two interchangeable and removeable attachments. It will be like getting three ear cuffs in one. Then I will probably sell sets of additional attachments that can be interchanged, added, and removed as well! Please let me know what you think... Here is the basic ear cuff that the attaching dangle pieces go on... These are the two attachments... These are the attachments actually on the basic ear cuff... Please tell me what you think!
I dont have a doll yet and that is why I am making this stuff and trying to advertise it to pay for a doll. But MinekaC has taken pics of her dolls ear and measurements. I worked off of that and will be sending her the prototypes to take pics of it on her doll. So hopefully I can get them sent out soon and I will keep this updated!
You'd probably have to fit them to certain types of dolls, because I know all of my dolls have very different ears - Abio Angels have tiny things, for instance, and Bobobie's have giant monkey ears.
Yea, all dolls have different measurements, the great thing about ear cuffs though (I have a decent collection for myself) is that they're pretty easy to resize to fit. Because certainly not every human being has the same size ears. I always have to pinch mine closed to have them sit comfortably on my ear. I will take lots and lots of pics when I get them. Sera is sitting here shivering, wrapped in my sweater, with an expression of "Please don't. It's to cold, I don't want any metal on me!" She has no choice! BWAHAHAH! ......... I am a cruel dolly mommy >_<
True. I just know that for some of my dolls, it would probably never work, because their ears don't curl over correctly. After all, I can't wear ear cuffs myself, because my ears don't curl over at all on tip, and some of my dolls have the same thing.
Ah true. One of my friends has a similar problem, I don't wear ear cuffs around her, because it kinda upsets her (not alot, and it's not like she mentions it. But it's jewelry, it's not like it'll kill me to avoid wearing something around her) Where I like ear cuffs to lay, I think I'll have to be really careful getting them on Sera, her ear doesn't curl the same as mine. So it'll definitly be a new experience getting them on. But I am happy to see someone making them with the intention to sell. I'd love to have Sera wear earings, but I refuse to drill holes in her ears. Mainly because I know it'll be the same as me, she would earings less often then not. LOL! It's the same as I did, ear cuffs until I turned 16 and was given permission to pierce my ears if I wanted to. I'm babbling, sorry.
Babbling is quite alright. I don't mind it Mineka... Lol. Anyway, you are right about being able to shape the earcuff slightly to adjust it to your dolls fit. I am sorry that they won't be able to fit on some ears no matter what because they dont extend from the head enough. But if I have pics of the dolls ear with a measuring stick beside it showing the cm side, I might be able to get a better fit without having the actual doll head right there...
I have an ear cuff and agree different dolls have different size ears. The one I have can be squeazed or pried apart a bit to fit. Your idea is lovely. I wish you the best saving for your doll. klum*9
Thank you Klum. I am getting good feedback so I am hoping that it works out well... They will be up on my website soon enough! Candace
Ebony Rain: I am sending the earcuffs out to MinekaC this upcoming week. As soon as I do that, she will take pics on her doll and I will post them up here ASAP. I am going to make some more little additional charms for it too. I would have sent them out earlier this week but I just got so caught up with everything for thanksgiving. P.S. I love your icon pic!
