OK...so I got the courage to take the head off my Lishe (Damn! That thing is tightly strung indeed!!! ) Anyway, I only had pastels, MSC and brushes at the moment, so I figured I would blush her... She is suposed to be very ethereal looking...you know...BW Lishe, white hair, white clothing (only details in color)... I take my pastels w/ my tiny doll make-up applicator and I think she looks awsome...very subtle.... So, I take pics in various lights so I can post it for some critics, and for my (unhappy) surprise, you can't see the make-up at all on film! I tried natural light, lamp light, combination....Even though the lens at the moment wasn't macro, still is a good camera and lens... I don't know what to do... Should I make it brighter? Is it commom to happen? Do you intensify your make-up to look better in pics? Any tips for anything? What should I do??? Any insight will be greatly appreciated!!!
Hhhhmmm. Maybe the blushing is too similar to the skin; brighter may not be better, especially with an 'ethereal' character. Maybe adding a smidge of a complimentary color to whatever color your blushing her with to slighly tone it down and de-saturate it a little.
Hiya.. My girl Purity Essence.. is a Elf Lishe in white skin and in alot of pics you can see her subtle blushing but in person she looks lovely.. but when I take pics of her outside the blush shows a bit.. have you tried taking pics in natural daylight outside.. her blush is pinks.. to keep it gentle and subtle outside what I do when photographing her is use natural light as much as possible or white bulbs pointing at angles... Hope it helps.. white skin is very hard to photograph as well... but so lovely...
I have a BW and a regular doll. In order for it to show up in most pictures you're going to have to make it look like she just got out of a hot bath. Here's Jareth's. He's on an old skin SD13 boy body. I found that the brown-red shows up a little better and looks more natural- like a tan with a blush. On Ghaleon, my BW, I use straight red with just a little green to keep him from looking raw. X3
