Moldmaking "Instamold" stuff.

Has anyone ever used this Instamold?

I used it once to try and make a mold of a wildcat skull. I found it a pain to try and mix together, that it found a way to creep INTO hotglue, and had a weird slimy layer that wouldn't scrub off after set for the amount of time on the box (I think it was an hour I let it sit for.)

So I continued to follow the directions; I patted it down with a towel to "dry" it, though the slimy layer stayed anyway, put the mold together, put it into a bag, sucked out the air, and stored in the fridge. The next day, it was warped, hard as a rock, and broke in half.

What was I doing wrong?! Anyone used this with success? As it stands, using the whole box to make a mold that didn't work was a waste of money, and I wouldn't suggest this stuff to anyone, for ANYTHING! I was thinking of using it again for making ball joints in mass quantities, but at this point I don't want to see the box ever again.
