Aesthetics Indian bride

Feb 6, 2014

    1. This is a project I can't finish for over a year :( This girl is going to have mehendi over the whole body, but for now the head only is done.

    2. she is very beautiful you did a great job :)

    3. Thank you! :)

    4. Oh wow, she's really exquisite! LOVE the delicate lines of the mehendi and the russet color of the ink....it goes so well with her lushly gorgeous faceup! Her long dark lashes and the faint kiss of gold glitter on her lids is just incredibly lovely....I would love to see her when she's finished, and in her wedding finery too! FANTASTIC job!!

*blush* Thank you very much for your support! Sure I'll have to do the whole work now :)

    6. So exotic, she is as an shimmering, ethereal beauty, your line work, and shading is spot on, her glittery eyelids have great dimension..she is truly lovely, great work

    7. The faceup is so nice and clean, great work on that! My only real critique would be to prehaps thin out the paint used for the mehendi - in places it is slightly smeary, which can be caused by paint that hasn't been thinned out, or paint that is drying too quickly on the brush.

    8. Lovely! I like that her lips are a nice deep colour. The only critique I would give is that the glitter on the eye crease is slightly breaking the illusion of depth in the eye crease paint because it is sitting a bit thickly on top of the painted shadow. If the glitter amount was less/nonexistent just in the crease, there would be more depth.

    9. Oh wow! She is stunning. What a beautiful girl, I am absolutely in love! You've done a fantastic job. I feel I have to agree with the person above me, the depth on the eyecrease is a little lacking just because of how the glitter goes, but this face up is absolutely wonderful and I really hate to find any fault with it. So gorgeous and I love the line work on the mendhi and the eyebrows are just so soft and fluffy looking.

    10. Wow, what a lovely job!
The first thing that pops into view is the Henna design on her face, it's really beautiful and unique. One thing that is a tad bit flawed with it is that it looks like pencil work, like a sketch. I don't know how you went about creating it, so I don't know how hard it was, but I'm thinking Acrylic paint? It would've looked more vibrant if you kept using less brushstrokes and tried not to take your hand away from design while doing the lines, to make it look thicker.

The rest is great! The eyebrows are good, the lips are a perfect colour and I love the shimmer in her eyes and the colour of them. Many of the most beautiful Indian women sport such vibrant green/olive eyes :)
For the future, I suggest using a thick long black wig and braid it, as it will look stunning with her theme!
Best of luck on this one, share more when you've made progress~

PS: Also, you should definitely commission a seamstress to create the most lavish Sari for her. She'd be perfect <3

    11. Beautiful face! Congratulations.

    12. Chamilia, Chibihaku: thank you! I use watercolour, so it seems that's the problem - it dries too fast when unthinned and too slow when thinned. I really have to do a pencil sketch before and just follow it, then it will be fine:)
Regarding her clothes: I'll do that when finished! =)

Etheldreda, ArcaneDesires: my wish was to get double black-golden eyeshadow, so I used yellow&glitter for this part of the eyelid. But it seems it doesn't really look like gold? What would you recommend to use for that?

2all: Thank you very much for your advice and support!

    13. I think the glitter is great! It's just that a bit of it is sitting directly in the crease of the eyelid, so it's catching the light and breaking the illusion of depth. If you just kept the glitter more on the parts that "stick out", and left the line of the crease very dark, it would be more dimensional, I think!

    14. I think it looks great. The mehendi is spot on. I recently attended an indian wedding and this facial art looks very authentic/similar to the art worn by my friend. Great job!

    15. It's sooooo cool! I LOVE the eye shadow and tattoo! I'm looking for the finish of body painting!
