In LOVE with 3D printed dolls!

    1. Found this artist on Esty:: Aelith Arts <<<THIS BUNNY DESERVES ALL THE LOVE AND ATTENTION

      And ever since I started printing out these dolls, I just can't stop!
      They're so much fun from downloading the files and setting them up on the slicing software, then waiting and watching them pop out the printer and AHHHH! It's so much fun feeling like I'm getting to know this doll from beginning to final form. Just all the more endearing.

      The top 3 aren't sanded, but once you sand, seal, and paint them you can't really tell that they're 3D printed!

      Here's some of my cuties so far! ::BONUS:: a centaur someone ordered!

    2. It's really nice to see more 3d printed things in the hobby! I've been interested in 3d printing dolls (or anything, for that matter) for a long time but always too anxious to get started. How hard is it to get into it?

    3. It's a lot easier now than before, for sure! Still gonna run about $600ish for the machines and materials.
      + 3D printer (resin for details, filament for size)
      +Washing/Curing machine (optional but highly recommended)
      +Enclosure if using the printer in a smaller apartment
      +Resin or filament
      +Respirator
      +Disposable gloves

      Keep in mind, there's typically always some kind of sale going on at Amazon.
      Essentially, once you get the big buys outta the way, it's WAY cheaper than always getting a new doll.
      There's a TON of free doll files, like Polaris - 1/3 sized girl with lots of community parts. And pets! All the pets!
      Not to mention all the weapons that would normally be $80~ are printed out for less than $4 of resin.

    4. I love looking at 3d printed dolls on Etsy. I do t have the money to invest in a printer but most of the files I have found are so cute. I’ve run into the shop you shared once before and oh boy do those cuties kill my heart.

    5. There are a bunch of Kabbit prints over on Ko-fi, some on Etsy, even found one on Mercari. Even I sell the little cuties!
      Aelith -the creator of the Kabbit line- is super cool and if you'd like a print, he'll probably be happy to do that!
      He already sells Kabbit kits, which just means ya gotta sting them yourself.

    10. Just made a teenie tiny Blueberry Centaur with that same Rudy sculpt!

      Added some blueberries and leaves and suddenly!

    12. Great news, thank you for the info! Base will be most helpful. I have only ever modeled furniture and houses and other inanimated objects. Humans and humanoids seem too difficult for me. I'm mostly 2D artist, sculpting isn't exactly my strenght.

    20. Oooh that looks so cool! The silky filament makes it look so magical!

      I have the Falin files but haven't gotten around to printing yet.

      I have been following Aelith for a while.

      I want to design a full BJD for 3D printing but I still haven't gotten done yet. I like designing heads but then making bodies is like ooooh that's so many more things to think about :sweat

    22. I've been admiring lots of 3D print dolls, and all the ones in this thread are so darling! I don't have a printer myself, but I have people I can bother to print one for me, so I've been considering trying that next year... In the meantime I've been eyeing one of CautionCatCraffs Boyo dolls, I'm just a sucker for dolls with top surgery scars:kitty2

    23. I only just wandered in here but I have a bunch of 3D printed dolls! In addition to some little 'bots from Aelith, I have a boy from Hopeful Creations and a Quartstar Pluto Kairo.
