I got my Susu earlier this week! Even though I already posted about her on Facebook I still wanted to make a post here, for posterity (finding anything old on Facebook...eh). I bought the plump body during the introduction event and therefore got a full Susu doll plus ballet and heel feet, and a pair of different hands. Not bad at all for 188$, that is probably one of the best deals I've seen. I got her in Mia White, on the grounds that my Moon Ying from Ye Mao Zi is semi white and I thought they should match a bit. She has a large bust. Well packaged! Here are the extras: Her hands are so pretty! Even her default ones! And here is the doll: I actually wasn't totally sold on her sculpt when I bought her, but now that I have her all complete I really like her! Wouldn't have chosen that sculpt on my own, I was very positively surprised. I'm gonna keep her like that (well, minus correcting some of her faceup flaws, I had very shaky hands today). Anyway, comparison to Moon Ying! The Impldoll body has slimmer legs, which is really noticable when they stand next to each other, at least in these clothes: I chose these because I twinning would make comparing them easier, but...Susu barely looks 'plump' at all here. I prefer Moon Yings sculpting here, she's not just a little bigger than your standard mini, but also has lots of details (her knees look a lot more like mine than Susu's, lets put it that way) Susu is slightly taller, too. She has smaller feet, standard 1/4 shoes can be slightly loose (but they do still work) Naked, they look like that: Susu looks more toned, Moon Ying more chubby. Movement-wise, they're about equal. Moon Ying cannot bend backwards without a little extra resin piece, but that's about it. Maybe the Impldoll body also has slightly more elbow mobility, but the Ye Mao Zi body can kneel better. The differences are fairly small though. The joints on the Impldoll body look smoother, personally I don't care about this, but it's there. An example:
Very interesting comparison! Your Moon Ying is very beautiful. I hadn't seen that sculpt before. I agree that the impldoll still reads as slim/fit, whatever by comparison, though she is lovely for the wide hip shape anyway. (I feel like I would I instantly dress one in yoga pants ) Anyway both are lovely! Congratulations on the great deal and new arrival!
Well, now I really regret passing up on that earlybird deal on the impldoll body, it and the Susu head are ridiculously cute! Congrats on your new girl!
Wow. This was an amazing unboxing and comparison. Susu is a gorgeous blank sculpt, and your face-ups look professional to me! Thank you so much for sharing! This is something that I struggle with on Impldoll heads. I... don't like Impldoll face-ups. I have passed on buying several sculpts, solely because I don't like the face-up - Eudora is a great example. Then a buddy offered to trade, and the blank head is absolutely stunning. I love it. Can't believe I didn't order it when it first came out. I just ordered the 62cm body (retail therapy), and Impldoll is including a gift Vilma head. I saw the blank sculpt on ACBJD, and I'm in trouble. The body was meant for my Iplehouse Mari, but Vilma blank looks like Imara's younger sister. Mari is probably going to remain floating. Poor Mari.
How cute !!!! I will let you all know my most recent blank doll from Impl arrived in two months if that helps for anybody wondering.
Thank you for this and congratulations on the new girl! Your Susu seems much prettier than the promo photos, so great job! But you're right, Susu seems mostly fit, not super thin or anything but I guess a bit less "plump" than one would expect from a plump body
Thank you! I think Moon Ying's company, Ye Mao Zi, is relatively new. She has a sister sculpt, Moon Xi. I got super lucky with her because I missed the preorder, but then managed to snag one of two dolls Clover Singing got in stock after they started delivering. The Impldoll body is still really nice and beautiful, but I'm not sure if 'plump' is the right name. Thank you! Aw, thank you I don't really like Impldoll's faceups either, but they had multiple pictures of her blank so I felt a little more confident I could work with her. I don't think they even offered faceup services to people who got her via the event. Eudora is a very pretty sculpt. Vilma, too. Poor Mari though. Do your dolls sometimes share bodies? Do the colors match well. I don't have an Iplehouse doll, they seem to have a lot of skintones available. Thank you. Yeah, the wait times aren't bad at all. Thank you! I'm personally not a fan of Impldoll's faceup style, but the sculpt is very beautiful. Maybe Susu needs something formfitting to show off her curves. She basically just looks like a regular (beautiful!) woman.
Oh wow, these bodies are both so beautiful! I love seeing these comparison pics :3 I’m looking for a chubbier body myself rn, and these pics help a ton! I just realized that these are the EXACT two bodies I’m looking at omg xD Thank you so much for this! I also just realized I don’t think I can order the Yemaozi body anymore, and this is the one I was really leaning towards
oh my goodness. they're both absolutely gorgeous!! definitely agree though that the impldoll body doesn't truly read 'plump' - definitely curvy, but not really plump. but beautiful all the same!! thanks for these comparisons, I'll have to keep these both in mind for future doll possibilities!
I love these photos! This is so helpful to see! I've never heard of the other company either, she has wonderful sculpting too
I jumped on that early bird deal for Susu when she came out too I'm still waiting on mine though. She's had a lot of shipping troubles but hopefully she'll be here any day now!
