Resin Comparison Impldoll Resin matching (nudity)

Question: So this is an Impldoll resin color chart from their site, and the darker skin options are labeled "brown" and "tan". But when I go to the drop down menu to choose a resin color on a doll, the options (discounting the UV ones) are called "tan" and "dark tan". I'm assuming this is just a translation error, but which is which?

If I wanted to order something in the color labeled "brown" on this chart, should I choose "tan" or "dark tan"?

(I'm assuming it's "dark tan" but I don't want to order unless I'm sure.)

 

@monkeypizzasonic They don't list all the options on all of their dolls, and this is just an error on the website. If you email them and ask for the doll in that color, you can order that way.

 

Will the Impldoll WS match DiM WS? I don't know if I overlooked it or it wasn't posted. I have an incoming head from DiM in WS for MSD. Curious on the fit as well. Also, have a NS Cassia (Kassia?) head and am looking for matches/fits for her as well. I have an Impldoll NS I can check when she gets here, but was hoping to order bodies for both heads before they arrive. I have enough floating heads atm as it is!

 

Would anyone have a photo of Impledoll Real (awful name) and Pink along side Fairyland NS?
I am thinking about using Impledoll as a body for my floating Black Cherry head (which is very close to Fairyland NS). What do all y'all think?

 

Does anybody happen to own any sort of Impldoll/Switch hybrid? I’m trying to see if Impldoll’s bodies would match the two heads I have in Milktea Rose and Powder Beige!

 

Hi! I just got a brand new Impldoll body in pink to use for a hybrid, but turns out my head yellowed so much it's a really bad match, So, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how close new Impldoll Pink is to RS Normal, please? Or what else it might match, like AoD?

 

@Eliz-Rivenstar so Impl Real and Fairyland NS doesn't match so well. I have a hybrid and it doesn't bother me since he's very covered by clothes. I LOVE the Impl bodies for their posing and price.

It's not necessarily that your head yellowed too much. Impl can be pretty inconsistent.
These pinks are from 2020 within a few months of each other.

Its not actually a Fairyland head. Its a Black Cherry head and its close to Fairyland...maybe it will be a better match. We will finds out!

 

Would love to know if any of the new resin colours are close to DIM NS? I don't mind a bit of blushing to match.

Oh wow!! That's definitely noticeable! I only know my head is yellowed because A) it's from something like 2012, and B) it's almost a match for AoD NS-Y. But still, that makes me leery of bothering to try buying a new head for this body and just using another one I have that's already a better (but not exact) match for the body and blush some.

Ah, then yeah, definitely yellowed lol. If your head's that yellowed, then you might have better luck getting a Real Skin body or a different company one in normal yellow. As for the body you have, I'd probably just go with the other head you have that's a more decent match for it. Would save you some more headaches, at least.

 

Being that pink, I'd tend to agree that your one has to be a fluke. lol. The pink body I have is definitely pink, but its a light and understated pink that's closer to a normal Caucasian flesh color.
I thought about a Real Skin body, but from what I've seen it would be too dark for this head. I recently got a brand new pair of AoD NS-Y hands and they're a decent-to-good match, so I'll probably go with an AoD body (I thought the head looked a bit bobbleheaded on the Impldoll Model body anyway). Then keep the pink body for that other head I have and get busy blushing.

 

Yeah, sounds like your pink is closer to the pink on the left in my pic (which is a very nice shade, imo).

I agree, it's a very nice shade and I'm quite pleased with the body. I thought about ordering a Impldoll head in the same color, but now I worry it'll be the Super Pink or something. lol. So yeah, I think I'll go with the other plan.

 

I'm still holding on to a floating Moon head in Real. Just wondering if any of the MYou tones match the Real from 2020?

 

Does snyone know how well Mirodoll normal skin matches Impldoll real or pink skin?

Unless Mirodoll has changed in the past few years, their colors vary significantly by batch and if someone gets lucky and gets a match, that doesn't mean you will. Their color-matching service is also not very good, at least when I used it, but this was also about 6 years ago, so maybe things have changed. I no longer buy from them.

Impldoll's colors are also not the most stable. It seems every time I order a real skin color doll, it's a different shade!

If you or your face-up artist is good at blushing to match, then I'd say to plan for it and get the head of the doll you want in a paler tone than the body if you're set on doing an Impldoll/Mirodoll hybrid. Then you can just darken the face to match the body with the face-up.

 

@UrbanHermit Thank you! I was hoping for an easy solution but hopefully it won't be too difficult. I have no experience with blushing, but I'm sure some solution will be found.

 

Fast question, I know impldoll white is super white, does impldoll white match well with dikadoll white? I am thinking about my next doll plans and I would like to get a pair of jointed hands for a girl.

No more grey and less tan colors

It looks like the new white is much more cream colored than before! Going off the colors posted on Dikadoll's site, I don't think it would match dikadoll's pure white at all. Impldoll's new white or cream white looks like it ~could~ potentially be close to Dikadoll's regular white. Of course it would be impossible to tell without a direct comparison.

 

Oh, I had no idea they posted updated colors. The Brown looks rather orange, compared to how it used to be... Hope the replacement parts I'm waiting on will still match the doll...

 

So are they discontinuing the white skin, or adding a cream white option?

 

From what I can tell visually, it looks like their "white" color is *possibly* changing from a snow white to an off-white...? Maybe? "Cream white" is a new color name for them. White, Cream White, and Pink all look reeeeeally similar in that picture so I'd be interested to see how they compare in different lights. It's of course possible that the picture is not lit well. I've hear that Impldoll is really responsive on their instagram, maybe they'd be willing to post a side-by-side comparison of their new & old resin colors if someone were to ask nicely?

Update: They said that the cream white is just an additional shade for that part of the range. I asked too if they had more pictures and they didn't send any more pictures so...¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

 

I hope this new change doesn't affect all the previously made orders.

 

Hopefully it shouldn't, I'll probably keep an eye on it though.

 

Shot in the dark... Has anybody gotten anything in the new real skin yet? Any resin matching suggestions for it?

 

So, I just got Imara, and all I can say is, it's orange. I have a lot of dolls, and it doesn't match anything. Not Fairyland, Dreaming Doll, Iplehouse peach gold - it's really orange.

I just got the Star Model Body in Real Skin that arrived in October 2023. Here's a smattering of comparisons for resin that I own.

 

I'm completely in love with the new 1/4 Impldoll girl body, but I'm not a huge fan of the Susu head. Are there any good resin matches for Impldoll? I have a huge affinity for Souldoll and Fairyland sculps, and I'm not too picky about the color. Basically I want an MSD head that doesn't make the doll look like a child (like a lot of the MSD SOOM and Supia dolls), so I'm more than willing to consider other brands that I might not have thought of yet/forgotten about.

But won’t I have to send a resin part to them to match it to? I realize it’s probably a dumb question, but I’ve never heard of a company that will resin match something for their customers .-. On top of that, I would prefer one of their standard colors, as I imagine that’ll be significantly cheaper?

 

You can get a paint swatch from a hardware store you can send over to them instead and just match it to the headcap instead I don’t think it's super expensive but I'm not 100% on that.

But it doesn't really matter lol if you wanna go standard. For Souldoll I think your best bet is going with white and getting a white body bc impldoll's white is a stark white similar to souldoll's formula rn. You could gamble and get a real body and a souldoll normal head but that I'm less confident about matching. For Fairyland, I think beauty white could be a decent match for impldoll white too it seems like a true white like impldoll's white too. I also forgot to tell you that souldoll is super backed up rn and doesn't do makeup temporarily so make of that what you will. Sorry for the long paragraphs lol

 

@Fractal - you might also want to ask if Impldoll's Elise would fit? She's a little more mature.
Also, it would be worth your time to email Impldoll about their resin colors - they told me that they are expanding to 12 colors, including Mia white and Mia pink - and also Angell Studio cream white resins.
Their brown skin is almost a dead-on match for Dika Doll tan skin from personal experience, and their peach gold skin is supposed to match Iplehouse peach gold resin almost perfectly (they're coming for Iplehouse's wig, as it were).

Still desperately looking for a decent resin match for Impldoll Tan, Brown or Peach Gold skin. My next doll-dream is to get the 1/4 Plump body in any tan color with a good head from another company my hope is that Fairyland or Supia Tan matches one of the Impldoll colors enough to be okay with a blushing, but I’m willing to look at any company at this point, but preferably a company that sells separate heads/has popular bodies that I can split/sell

 

Impldoll tan matches Dika Doll tan almost perfectly, and Impldoll's new real skin matches Supiadoll normal skin very closely:

These pictures are really helpful, thank you so much ❤️ I have already ordered my Impldoll Plump body with the Susu head in Mia Pink skin (it looked slightly less pink and more like a lot of other NS skins imo) because I was originally going to put a Minifee head on it. I know a few people use the Fairyland Tiny bodies for their MiaDoll heads with great success, so I was pretty much banking on this lol.

based on this, I think it looks like DikaDoll matches fairly well with Fairyland Tan skin, and this boy I found a pick of online is a DikaDoll/Impldoll hybrid

 

Does anyone know of any good resin/body matches for Impldoll Star? I’m getting a Sicily head in pink skin and I think I heard Supia is a good match but I didn’t know if there were other successful hybrids out there.

 

I recommend seeing what kind of undertone the pink has first, I got two impldoll Mila heads in pink at the same time and they each looked pretty different from each other. One was more cool toned and very much comparable to supia doll's pink, and the other is much more peachy toned which reminds me more of a mia pink or df-h's pink. Also congrats on a Sicily my Sicily is probably my favorite doll she's so pretty even if her head is very small

 

They can be different like that??? Oh my… that makes things a tad more difficult. I think I’ll do her face up first and look around some more then. Also I totally agree on how pretty she is, I saw someone with her and a custom face up and thought “yup, gotta get her, stat”. Impldoll knows how to get ya, with their beautiful tiny heads.

 

Yeah I think pink and real skin have that issue my two white girls look identical and I could bodyswap easily

 

It's not a perfect resin match color-wise, but Impldoll Star heads (like Sicily and Lydia, pictured) also fit very nicely on Granado's Embody female body:


That's a... Souldoll limited outfit, I believe. So Granado Embody can fit Souldoll 1/3 scale girl clothes. (Souldoll 1/3 scale girls have big boobs and tiny waists.)
