66cm+ Dolls Impldoll Aurora War of Future (doll nudity)

So my waiting room listing is a little inaccurate: I ordered the Aurora War of Future head blank, white resin, on May 9, 2023 ($103.90 with PayPal fees) from ACBJD, and then I decided I wanted the Idol 70 cm body, which I ordered and paid for on June 5, 2023 ($290.92). Total cost shipped to me in the U.S. was $394.82. Impldoll ships directly to the customer (not to the dealer first), and I received Aurora yesterday, August 19, 2023.

Extras included an extra Aurora head (???), Impldoll's restringing tool (for removing the head - the hook is too wide for arms and legs), some wire, eye putty, and some very adorable hair clips.

First, the bad news: this body is not 70 cm. Comparison photo to Impldoll MGB 65 cm body, which is a "true" 65 cm. They are identical in size.


Now that I know what this wire is actually for, I'm going to try adding wire to this body. I received two pieces of equal length, which I assume are for the arms and legs:


Can I just wriggle the wire in there and avoid restringing? No. No, I cannot.


Let's do this (cat interest intensifies):

The lower torso is one piece with a cap glued in on top, so you've got to pull the wire through. I recommend doing one side at a time.

I pulled the wire that is going to stay through with the restringing wire, and pulled the elastic through last. To get everything through the knee, I had to lift up a little and turn the joint sideways.

But did it improve anything?

 

Yes and no. She definitely sits more firmly, but the wire gives her a gangster lean. Knees are still kicky. MGB body on right was improved with hot glue sueding, but bending her knee knocked all of the hot glue off:

Splits were about the only other thing I could get this body to do:


Still, it's a beautiful body, solid stander, and I like it. I'm going to keep her.


Other item to note: big neck gap. She came like this - she's not a hybrid.

So I checked with my buddy who bought her before me (and tempted me into buying her), and yup, we're pretty sure that's what happened. Their doll is 70 cm exactly. Mine is not. I must have gotten the wrong body.
I'm not upset though. She's lovely, and I have no plans on selling her.
Besides - a Limhwa head makes up the difference nicely, lol (it's a couple cm bigger than Impldoll's little heads).
