I have a standard s-hook head (Dollshe Rosa) - is there any way to adapt a 1/4 imomodoll body to work with it? I'd like to use a soft body instead of a resin one, if anyone knows any vinyl/silicone other soft substance bodies which might work? thanks!
I have a 1/6, and her head is held in place with a peg; there's nothing to put the hook onto inside her body. Most vinyl skeletons can't be modified to manage an S-hook, but you can modify the head to use a peg instead of the s-hook I believe. It's the same sort of idea when hybrid-ing with a Dollfie Dream.
Thank you! Can you link me to a guide for modifying the head like that? Sorry, I've tried to Google for one but have come up blank - newbie here!
/threads/resin-head-on-dollfie-dream-2-body-includes-video-tutorial.108471/ This thread is a bit old and the video is down, but basically (I don't own a Dollfie Dream, but it's the same principle) you put the neck peg (already sticking out of the body attached to the spine) through the hole the S hook would go through and then inside the head, wrap something around the peg so it doesn't pop out, like a bunch of rubber bands or thick string. It won't be as posable/stable as a resin head on a resin body, but the 1/4 Imomos are surprisingly hefty so it should hold. They are budget bodies though so be aware that there are a few mild annoying issues with them that are just sort of par for the course of such a low-cost product. EDIT: This is what the peg coming out of the body would look like (this is Dollfie Dream and Smart Doll, but the 1/4 Imomo uses the same style of internal skeleton) https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3855/14450951280_9fc77655a5_z.jpg So you'd stick her head on this, then inside the head, put something around and around and around until the peg can't pull out of her head anymore.
Fantastic, thank you so much! I'm aware it's a budget body, but I'm after a soft (eg vinyl) single-part torso1/4, and don't want one with boobs 'cause the Rosa head is childish, so imomo seems to be my only option. Again, thank you for taking the time to help me
