Thanks Reshana! Do you have a photo account somewhere where I can see more pictures of him? I did a search here on DoA and found a few old sales threads plus one gallery, but I want to see lots more of him!

 

I know! Going to have to really put our game faces on to get one.

It seems to me that Chaos is being sold as two options, head+body and head only. So you could definitely try for the head if you wanted. ^_^ After all, there is a head only listed with a price up on the site.

 

Yeah, that's what I said. But I'm not interested in Chaos. I meant I was thinking of getting an Osiris head but you can only get him as a full doll.

 

Did IOS say that they are going to re-release Asyd sometime soon? I like him a lot, but it seems he hasn't been relaesed in a long time. Maybe he's not all that popular

 

But but.....WAAAAHHHHHH I just want Osiris head.....I still have other bills to pay for, that's okay I'll just go mope now

 

so umm.....now that they have changed the site, do they still have the upcoming releases somewhere? the quarterly plan is what they called it i think

 

I almost hope the release is later so I have more time to convince my husband to give me my birthday money early. hehehehe

Does anybody know what time IOS normally puts items for sale? I'm going to be out of town to go see the midnight showing of the hobbit that night...

I'm suuuuper excited to be able to get just a Chaos head, he's been calling to me lately! I've already had to split for an IOS head once, trying to sell off a beast-bodeh like that is a pain~ D:

I might just not be looking in the right places, but can anyone tell me if 12mm is Chaos' "true" eye size? I've had such bad luck following company-stated eye sizes that I'd rather just hear it from owners...Do 12mm whites gap in his eyewells at all?

 

I'm kinda wondering that as well. I'm hoping I don't have to bevel the hell outta his eyes the moment he gets home. Oh well I plan on opening them a little anyway...

I really hope they release him early in the day. I really dont want to order him on a phone in the middle of the movie. I'll be too worried about ordering him to enjoy it. lol I would stay home actulley if I haven't already bought tickets...

 

So besides what they claim to re-release.. is that all that is available? Is there a possibility that they'll release other dolls (heads).. such as BLOOD?

 

You need to request 'em if you want 'em in the Q and A section of the website. They re-release based on demand....

 

I'm holding out for the 80cm. Lacrimosa looks so incredible, I wish I'd heard of these guys sooner. Since I'm new to the company, how often do they do Class 80 releases? Is this a once a month thing or a few times a year?

 

My impression from the last sale was that the sale starts just after midnight (local time) on the day.

The 80cm guys are brand new this year. They came out all at once practically - Lacrimosa one month, then Anarmonia the next, and Stille the next. Too fast for me to get them all. Stille will be re-released in January, but under a different name - Keiji, I think - and cost a bit more due to licensing fees (we don't know how much more, just that it will be more than the first release of Stille). But other than that, we only know what is on the calendar thing. Most of us just kind of lie in wait, and then pounce whenever the head you want is up for sale. They are usually released in small batches, so you have to be quick. Getting bodies is fairly new too. It used to just be heads. So now I'm hoping they sell just the bodies some time. I have quite a few class60 heads that share one body.

They are a very small company (like just two people?) and can only handle as many orders as they accept each time. So yeah, that's all that is available at a time. If there's a sculpt you really want, let them know nicely, and then hope it gets re-released. Just keep checking back once a month or so. They update their sale plan once every three months or so. Blood just got re-released earlier this year, so I wouldn't expect him to be re-released again for a while yet. But keep an eye on the site.

 

Interesting, thanks for the information. I'll definitely want to pounce if an 80-sized fella shows up again. hahaha.... makes me think of my cat stalking things, she sits in wait and does that little wiggle before striking. :-p

I didn't know it was such a small company. I think that's cool actually.

Though, I have to admit I'm surprised they're releasing 50 of the Chaos heads! I think the most they've released of anything was 30, and that was the big 80cm guys. So maybe they're expanding? Dunno. But that does mean good news that maybe we don't have to be quite as stalkerish to get the sculpts we want now. ^__^

 

It makes me hopeful that since chaos had so many heads that there will be ALOT of jaguars when they get around to selling him...

 

They are working on another new 80 already!

Oh my! I adore vampires, but I'm not so sure what to think about the mouth being so open like this. Seems like he would be lewdly staring at everyone like they are his next snack. XD

 

hahahaha... I kind of like it. Though it would be best if it was a separate faceplate/head then you could switch for "snack time." Faceplates are my favorite, like my Granado, Sweet Dolls, and my Pukipuki. I switch between the happy face and crying face on the Fairlyland puki quite easily. A leering licking vampire face-plate switch would be epic!

 

I so second this!! I totalley want this doll! I LOVE the thought of a huge freakin' vampire doll licking his chops and watching all my shorter dolls!! I would be evil and always have that bad boy out to creep people the hell out... but alas 80cm body is a bit too he-man for my taste...

I wish they'd offer "normal" expression vampire face and this tongue face/head separately XD I wouldn't buy only this one.. it's creepy 24h7 licking haha

 

hehe 2 faceplates would be ideal. Has anyone started asking them about that? The probably wouldn't do it unless they get enough requests for it.

They make normal heads with caps.

 

i asked for "normal expression looking vampire head" to come with this tongue head. It seems they will not offer other heads now, only this tongue version. Sad, but i can wait ^^

 

Woot! just ordered my chaos!!! So excited! hopefully I can order his body this month too... I decided against the makeup because i'm definatly will open his eyes up a little. osiris's make-up was really, really pretty though! now im going back to bed lol

Hmm... how much does it cost to make a vampire doll I wonder...

 

I managed to get a Chaos with 70cm body last night when they released~ My waiting and pouncing paid off! I'm also waiting on my Anarmonia split to ship (I'm only getting the body and clothes to complete a different doll). God IoS owns my soul at the moment!

But let me just say this -- I can't wait for that leery vampire. *A* I'm definitely going to be pouncing on that one (and saving all my spare pennies for him). These big 80cm boys really have hit a soft spot for me!

Congrats to everyone that got a Chaos/Osiris in the ordering period!

ETA: Trethowan - IoS work on quarterly plans with their finances/releasing. They probably haven't budgeted for a normal vampire head in their plans/sculpting for the next 4 months after January? That could be it.

Wow, I just checked to see how many Osiris were still available and it's 2! I thought by now they would be sold out for sure since 8 sold just in the first ten minutes when orders opened. If someone is on the fence you better jump on this business before their gone! XD

Gridbug - IOS totally owns my soul! The boys in my house just keep multiplying, I'm starting to think I need to go to head collecting anonymous or something. ^_^;; Hopeing nothing crazy good comes out next year so I can just focus on bodies for them, but I'm not going to hold my breath. lol

 

MacaronTea: lol they went FAST! Chaos (full doll) was out in the first 2 minutes. I was LUCKYYYYY *A*;;;; Congrats on Osiris too~~ I owned one of the original release of him He's so gorgeous~ As for holding your breath... yeah... I wouldn't. I know I'm not holding mine! They're coming out with some awesome stuff, haha. The 80cm boys really have my heart pounding at the moment. I'm definitely saving for the fangy, leery vampire *^* He looks so awesome!

Wovenwuff: Oh lord.. if he came out in tan I would be so dead. Given you know... the AMOUNT of tan in my collection and my urge to just.. buy everything in tan XDD So far IoS haven't released a tan doll yet though... have they?

 

Gridbug - I don't believe they have ever released a tan doll. The only special colors in the past I know of were mint green and lavender for the mini cats.

 

MacaronTea: That's what I thought. I won't be holding my breath for a tan boy from them - but hey, I can dream a little dream of maybe one day owning one XD Either way, I think I'll still want the new C80 they're working on XD If I can get him in NS, then I'm happy enough

ETA: A new teaser for the C80 boy with the tongue is out -- I really hope BOTH tongues are available - because my friend and I have a real thing for the derpy, leery licky tongue. It was HILARIOUS and awesome at the same time.



Either way I still like him. I've also asked on the IoS Q&A regarding whether he'll have both tongues or if the version 2 is the only version to come out.

 

Oh, this new version cracks me up. For some reason, I find it really funny to have a doll sticking his tongue out at me all the time.

AAH, hehehe... I like this one too. The licking upward is pretty awesome but this is cute, too. I'm still preparing to pounce!!

OMG, can you imagine an epic bloody faceup on one of those? I could have a lot of fun with that. :-)

Also, a question on heads fitting the Class 80 body, would an Iplehouse's largest head fit that body or would it look too small? Or Dragondoll, they have large heads for their bodies. Reason I ask is if/when I do get teh awesome vampire action, I might want to switch heads to something more normal since I use my dolls in photostories.

 

I'm definitely going to be pouncing too, Trethowan. I'll post back here when I know if there's going to be a tongue-plate system going on or if they're just going with version two because version 1 wasn't working for them (though if I had to pick, I still want the leery version 1 tongue XD Just because it's awesomeness knows no bounds XD)

MT: Not a second head, but a second version. Which leads me to believe that the first creeper tongue has been scrapped and this new one is the one we will be getting. *poutyface* I liked the creeper!tongue XD But I have asked about whether there will be two different versions or if both tongues come with the head. I'll let you all know when they get back to me about it!

Well the C80 heads have a 12cm neckhole - so anything that fits that? I'm using a DollClans head on my incoming C80 body... but I've heared that more "normal" bodies for heads that tend to be that big/fit that neck size include SpiritDoll Herculean, EID, Dollstown18 and a few that are okay-ish are the POPO 68cm body and the SpiritDoll Proud v2...? But probably good to ask around about that!

ETA 2: I got a reply from IoS! Here's what I got in regards to asking about which version of the new Class80 vampire will be available:

I like the first version better with licking the teeth/lips. The second one kinda looks like he's getting sick. Still amazing detail and great crafting though!
