I ordered my Angie at the tail end of her first order period with a face-up, so she ended up being shipped near the longer end of the estimate on iMda's website -- but, still well within the promised 3-4 months' time! I actually received her on Monday (a day after receiving my shipping notice, lol) but I actually kind of had a bad time when I opened her, so I only decided I'm keeping her today. (Long story short, this is the first NS doll I've owned in probably a decade, and it was a good reminder to myself why I do not order NS dolls... It didn't help that I ordered the default eyes for her and MAN they were not flattering on her (or I'm just bad at putting in eyeballs - this is also possible)) After calming down a bit, tailoring her dress, and sticking in a pair of probably a decade-old $10 glass eyes, I decided she was still pretty cute, and ordered her a darker wig and some cheap glass eyes in different colors. She's supposed to be my cheapie (uhhhh relatively-speaking...), portable travel companion doll (hence the decision to order NS - easier to deal with problems), so I'll just have to live with how pale she is. This is my first doll without a character so I'm actually looking forward to trying out different eye and hair colors and seeing where it would take me. The box! It was so very tiny. I don't own very large dolls (Slim MSD and iMda 3.0), but this is one of the smallest dolls I've ever ordered. Pretty (smol) box! My 3.0 girl arrived with her head rolling around in the box (well-wrapped, but uh... beheaded) because she didn't fit in her body pouch, so I'm happy the 1.7's fit in their very generous pouch (the size of a large wallet/small purse). And here she is! So smol! All the stuff I bought for her + a series of roadblocks: the putty that came with the eyes was so old, it crumbled, so I had to go and buy some earplugs; the magnet in her headcap came loose, so I also picked up some superglue to put it back in. Lastly, the dress I got for her didn't quite fit - it was far too loose at her teeny tiny waist (though this wasn't a huge shock - it was a TTYA Child/Lati Yellow dress that I was hoping might fit her odd size). After coming back from the pharmacy with the required stuff and fixing things in their places. This is where I stopped and put her away for the day. Her dress was all lumpy, and the eyes look okay here, but IRL they made her look like she hasn't slept for 5 days (also I could NOT, for the life of me, align them). At first I thought maybe her eyes weren't actually 10mm and scooped out poor Anka's 8mm eyes to try them - but, nope, 10mm was correct. I was pretty disappointed. I decided to give her another try the next day. Took in as much of her dress as I could (she's still much smaller than the waist, but the "petticoat" I styled out of a Lati Yellow tutu skirt and the bloomers that came with the set make it look more intentional). I also dug up a pair of cheap glass eyes I bought forever ago when I was trying to sculpt my own doll, and thought they looked much better (though I did go and buy a few more cheap glass pairs to try some other options out, because Leonie is my resident dark-eyed girl and I don't think I want two). And Mr. Buns acquired a rather dapper bowtie I had lying around from one of my old dolls. Her Etsy artisan Blythe shoes were the one thing that fit quite well, so I'm happy it's all coming together. Hopefully the eyes I ordered and the new wig will be the finishing touch! ETA: Leonie, my iMda Amellia 3.0, has decreed that Angie is now HER doll. Well, that's that then. ETA2: Well, folks, $7 eyes can make a huge difference. Look at this! Just a whole different doll!
