nancy_schroeder_ca your family is so lovely! Thanks for starting this thread with such a cute shot.

I just thought I would pop into this thread because I recently got my dreaming Modigli Rustle of Spring second hand. I just love her little sleepy face and am kicking myself for not ordering the Babette Like a Butterfly when she was for sale.

I got my Modigli with the intention of hybriding her with my Soom Ai body, and it's a cute, though slightly bobble headed fit. Would she be acceptable to post here despite being on a different body? I haven't had the time to take any shots of her, but would love to share when I do.

 

Oh my god I love the little dresses with the smocking. What an adorable family. I'm glad I got the Babette Like a Butterfly when she was for sale. I now have a 2.2 Babette and a 3.0 Nina head that I'm hybriding with a Doll Chateau baby body.

I don't see why you couldn't post her. I normally count the doll by what head it has anyway.

 

whitewolf I'd love to see your hybrid and I can't wait to see your Babette when she arrives.

Here is my Modigli Rustle of Spring dreaming head on a Soom Ai body. I was able to take a quick shot tonight, but I'm really looking forward to photographing her in natural light. She is such a sweet little thing. Now all she needs is a name.

Is it correct that this thread is located in the MSD section? It has been with the Tiny ones for Part 1. Just wondering

 

Wow, good eyes. I just subscribed to it right off the old one and didn't notice. It should be in the tinies section. Hopefully some mod will move it?

Got to love those big heads. I don't have a Modigli yet - well I was offered a sleepy one for some face-up or body blushing work. I might have to take her up on the offer. I was thinking of a getting Doll Chateau 1/4 girl body for her. Love playing with those proportions

 

Finley - Thank you very much! This is one of my favorite dresses (I'd love to get the matching Alice one some day) and I think it's just perfect for her.

whitewolf - Aww thanks! Yes, the big heads are wonderful. I don't mind the slight bobble headed-ness at all :p I only have the sleep head and I really like it, she is so expressive. Though when photographing her it's a little tricky to light her eyes properly, but most dreaming dolls tend to give me that dilemma. I really look forward to getting the time to take more shots of her. If you do get one I'd love to see her! Will you paint her yourself?

 

Yes alisondanger I will paint her myself. I don't know how she'll turn out yet as I normally wait until I start and see how the sculpt "speaks" to me

 

Quick pic taken with my phone but I couldn't resist sharing. I always wanted to make a good earflap hat! Although I see now that the rows are crooked which I've now fixed.

Also working on jeans to fit her Imda 3.0 body. Best effort yet!

 

Just wondering if anyone has put their iMda 3.0 head on a Planetdoll 41cm or 43cm WS body?

I know TreeLore put hers on a Doll Chateau Kid body and the resin match was perfect. I have a WS Sleepy Modigli head and am wondering if the Planet Doll WS matches?

Sorry that's one of the companies that I don't own. Do they sell the bodies separately?

 

littleredraggedy - planetdoll is much more white than Imda.

 

Ditto on PD being white white. Better to get NS and blush the head. Also, the 43cm body has a significantly bigger neck than iMda. So does the 41cm but a little less so. The head just barely fits on the 41cm Planetdoll body (I have one) and personally, I'd want to widen the neck in the head a bit more to make it look less "perched."

 

whitewolf: Oobiedoll has a PlanetDoll body in WS...I think it was the 41cm size. And sometimes DDE has them in stock as well.

ForeverVirginia and AnitaS: Thank you both! I guess I will order a DC body for my head then! I am a tinies girl...this will be a first for me! The wait was atrocious for my DC Vivian & Jodie [worse than LaTiDoll lately] I hope they've gotten better.

 

Hi everyone! I've been a member for awhile but haven't actively participated until now. I'm very interested in what everyone has been saying in regards to imda Modigli 3.0. The photos I've seen here are darling. Wish there were more! I was wondering about the Soom site. How do you know for sure if something is available? It looks to me like it's available as long as the item doesn't simply say "sold out" below it. Is that correct? Also, does anyone know if they are particularly slow in getting their things sent out? Any ideas of wait time?

Most items are specials available for a short time. The delivery time runs 2.5 to 3 months or more at times.

 

What if the item says, "recommended"?

how often do they put a new doll up?

 

Usually about three times a year, more or less, for the 3.0 iMdas, 2-3 times on the 2.2 iMdas. There's a new one - Collette - who is absolutely adorable, selling starting Dec. 24.

 

They usually have one limited doll at a time and that can be an iMda of any size or a Nappy Choo. Soom is not very predictable!

 

Ooh I didn't notice there was a new one coming out. Oh well, I can't get her as I've overspent already

 

colette is adorable but it looks like she is in beauty white and beauty whites just don't stick here, much as i like their promo pics. am i right in believing soom only offers one skin choice per doll?

 

They have her in normal skin as well. I got Babette and she was offered in Normal skin as well as white

 

yeah i just checked and she is listed in both. i think i'm going to put her on layaway as soon as i decide whether or not to get the wig too. it is really cute but seems a bit pricey has anyone bought the wigs? are they worth the price?

alright so i went for colette in ns with the wig. i decided i liked the wig enough that i might as well just go or it. i'm a sucker for redheads! i'd have all my kids with red hair if i could. so now i wait.....

 

I love Colette, her face reminds me Dollstown faces. It's hard to avoid buying her!!
I supose that the wig you can buy is the curly one, not the one that appears on the last picture, right?

 

i sure hope so! i was assuming that since it is the one shown in most of the pictures, but it actually just says wig... i'll be really miffed if it turns out to be the straight one! maybe i should ask?

YAY! Finally I decided to order a Colette too in NS! The waiting will be terrible D:

 

payment two down today. one more to go on colette anyone know what the wait times are like for soom?

 

It seems to be around 3-4 months after you've paid your order. I'm still waiting on my Babette that I ordered back in October.

 

hmm, definitely need to try and get that layaway paid off early then. (thanks for the reply, there's no one in the angel region waiting room )

 

Well the funny thing is that lately the orders that have been on long layaways have been arriving as quickly as people who paid them off in full at the same time. My Babette that is combined with a Picro and Sammi was paid in full back in October and still hasn't shipped. Others that put them on layaway and only recently paid them off already have them at home. Sooms shipping policy is meant to be shipped within 100 days or you start to get credit of 1% of your total order paid back to you in points. I had this happen last year and ended up with around $190 in points which I used to purchase my next doll

 

that sounds like a cool policy. this is my first time buying from soom, so i had no idea what to expect, but collette was too cute to pass up! i've had dolls ship in anywhere from 1 week to 3 months from other companies, and the few who do layaway didn't seem to let it affect their shipping time (other than if you hadn't paid it off they wouldn't ship, of course) but they started preparing the layaways when they were ordered, just like the regular ones, so it never really occurred to me that soom might not. i figured that was the point of the short order period and no cancellation policy?

 

Yes Collette is a real cutie and I would love to have gotten her but I've already spent enough.

Different companies, different shipping and production schedules. They just don't make sense sometimes. Well Soom has 10 more days to ship my order or it's going to be expensive for them again as there are 3 dolls in the order again

I still have twin Petite Gian's on order [NS & WS] Butterfly Babette [WS] and a Petite Modigli [WS] on order from them. My Gian's have been paid off for over 2 months...this is the longest I've ever had to wait. I'm really surprised. I would have ordered Colette too, but had to order from LaTi's Snow Queen release.

Hi All,
I haven't been on in a while, but i do love all the beautiful pics of the imda girls. I just wanted to pop in with an update. My Babette Like a Butterfly was paid off on the 17th Nov and she is on her way home now. I haven't been counting, life has been very busy, so not sure of how many business days that is. I bought her with a face-up, no clothes, eyes or wig.
Not sure when I will be able to do a box opening, but I will try to do one soon.
Hope all the girls that are still being made will get home to all of you soon!

I can't help but feel like I'm missing out again. My Like A Butterfly Babette has been paid off since the 12th October and still no sign of her (and she has no face-up either). Even though I was one of the first to order and pay on an Iplehouse Mari order and Soom Sammi and Picro order they still haven't shipped. I'm having the worst luck lately
