I ordered 1 wig from them on 25/2, and to this day it still hasn't arrived. I asked them on Q/A board around end of March, and they said they'd ship it out during that week. A week into April, I wrote on the Q/A board again. They replied that they sent me an email to tell me that during the process of making my wig, there were problems so they had to re-make the wig again. They would ship it out the coming week. I don't think there's any problems with my email, since Lati could reach me and Volks could reach me. Yes, I'm doubting that they even sent me an email. What is the average time for a wig to be shipped out? I always thought that they were ready made and would arrive around maybe 2 weeks max. But now, I've waited for a month and a half now, and still no news. It's like waiting for a doll! Anyway, I'm considering asking for my money back. It's not cheap the wig, and it's taking forever to get here. Is this possible? Really though, I do like the wig. It's my first time to order at Leeke, so it's making me pretty upset that they are so slow and seems not very helpful. Can anyone give me advice? Am I overreacting you think?
All you can do is wait. I was part of a group order that missed three wigs last year in November. They wetre notified right away, said they had our wigs and would ship them. Never did. We messaged them a few more times...nothing. I left them a very nasty message to send them or else, basically, in February. We got them 4 days later. Even though they have fabulous quality wigs, I refuse to order from them again.
I've heard of similar problems with other people. A friend ordered one of the new pink reservation wigs and one normal, brown wig. The order took over a month, she got no shipping confirmation, or news of why there was a delay, and when she opened the package she found a note saying the brown wig would be sent later because there was a problem. ...... They're really slacking off, it doesn't sound like the Leekeworld I've ordered from before
Since you pick out the size, color and style of the wig, I believe they make it once the order is made instead of having ready made wigs on hand. It took me probably a little over 2 months (maybe 3) to get my wig. I didn't email them to check up, so I don't know how they are at replying. I just ordered a new one with a group order. Hope it comes in okay!
Oh no......... I should've checked here for information on Leeke before I ordered........ Really regret it now. Can I request my money back? I don't know how I can "force" them to send me the wig asap........ Sigh......... Feel upset........
I waited around a month for two wigs, I realise they make them to order but if Luts can get my yder special made and out in 14 days, why can't leeke get two wigs out in less than a month? While I'll admit I'm impressed with the quality of the wigs, there was zero communication, no shipping notice, no nothing. I wont be ordering from them again either. I don't know about getting your money back... you'll get your wig eventually, it'll just take them a while =/
Sigh...... maybe i'll wait a bit more then....... it's just so...... upsetting! I should've ordered another doll while waiting. Dang! I won't be ordering from them any time soon, not unless their wigs are REALLY REALLY worthwhile.......
That kind of customer serivice is unacceptable, even with the cultural differences that everyone is talking about. I suggest that you file for a refund with Paypal, that should get Leekeworld on their toes. I, myself have never had a problem with Leekeworld, they are always so nice and my orders never take more than 30 days to get to me. If they aren\'t able to reply to my emails right away, they appoligize for the delay. If they make a mistake, which they have done before, they always correct it right away. And to be honest, Leekeworld is one of the nicest most organized companies that I have ever dealt with.
Sigh........ I envy you Dollyface....... Though I've not a long history of ordering BJDs, I think this wig has taken the longest time (against bluefairy, Lati, volks DOLLS) to arrive.... I love that wig and would love to get it.... I just hope Leeke knows what they're doing......
hmm well i've ordered from them twice now, the first order got to me in one week my current order has been shipped today and i order friday, so ive been very very lucky i do adore there wigs though(both orders were wigs)
; Augh... I ordered 2 wigs and a pair of eyes from Leeke on April 1st. I checked my email a day later and I didn't receive a confirmation email from them. I can receive emails from Volks and Dollmore easily yet I haven't received any from Leeke. I'm kind of regretting ordering from them now.
I've waited months and months (around 4 or 5) for Leeke wigs before. I'm not surprised. I guess I'm used to waiting, having been around BJDs for a few years! I've waited that long for Luts orders, too. Granted, they are usually Group orders, so are a bit larger than normal and may have problems with one or two items which cause the delay... but still... the Luts order wasn't a pre-order, so not MUCH of an excuse. But by now I've waited months for dolls, eyes, wigs, shoes...!!! If I'm in a hurry I'm VERY careful of where I'm buying the item. Usually buying on the Marketplace is the quickest, since the person has the item on-hand (with some exceptions). Ebay, is similar (items in-hand save for a few exceptions). Small orders of clothing and wigs and shoes may be quick from doll shops some shops more reliably quick than others)... but I can never COUNT on it. So... I guess it doesn't really bother me. I just figure waiting time into the purchase.
I am in a leeke group order and found out today that everyone but one other person got their wigs but ours are "backordered" and they'll send them when they can
I ordered some wigs during a reservation period & didn't get them until more than 6 months later. They are gorgeous wigs, but I frankly forgot about them. When I received the package I signed on to tell them I received someone else's package, but first I checked my order page & there they were!! I was embarassed that I had spent 100$ & forgot about it ^^;;
Oh wow...I ordered two Leeke wigs and SOOM eyes (through Leeke) last month...It said on their site that they take 10-17 days to ship out, but when I didn't get any confimation or anything on the 17th day I left a post on their message board. No response. So I e-mailed them (I'm rather anxious to have them arrive...) They responded that it takes 15-25 days to make the wigs since they reservation items and that they'd ship soon... Still no wigs. ~_~ I'd start a paypal claim, but I ordered with credit card...So I guess I just have to wait until they decide to ship my order...-_- This is my first transaction with Leeke, and now I'm really worried. Good luck getting your stuff!! T-T
I ordered some wigs on Christmas day and got them fairly quickly, and the communication was GREAT. And I was pleased with the wigs. Good luck though! D:
I've only ordered from Leeke once so far, but they shipped wicked fast for me and I had my wig (and a set of eyes I also ordered) within two weeks. I plan to order from them again soon, so here's hoping my luck from the previous order holds out... I hate when stuff gets delayed or you get the run around. >_<;
Wow, that's weird. O_O I ordered a wig and some eyes from them once and received them within a week. But this was a while ago.. I'm sorry to hear that it seems like they aren't as good about customer service as they used to be.
I'm surprised and sorry to hear about such delays! I, myself, got my Leeke doll within one week of placing the order, which just seemed too good to be true at the time.
I've only ever ordered reservation wigs, however those they don't make until they have the orders all in so I expect a long wait time. However if you've ordered something that isn't reservation then that's pretty bad
It happens at leeke.. both orders I took part in were shipped in more-less correct time. Maybe it's about interest .. don't know. We always ask when they'll be shipped after waiting period (those 17 working days or longer if there's wig from pre-order) and Leeke always answer (though it takes few days on their BBS) I've been reading about people haveing trouble with them.. and I find it really unprofessional at Leeke side.. though.. wigs are great And as I remember they don't make any wig before someone orders. I think they've changed that some time ago.. so they don't have wigs in hands. Ordering person has to wait one way or another.
My previous leeke order only took about a month/month and a half and that was for a reservation wig. I ordered a normal wig in black... and it's backordered after waiting over a month to receive it
Oh wow..... it seems Leeke's customer service is quite extreme..... from what I've read so far, you could receive your purchase (of wig, non reserved) anywhere from within a week to over 6 months........ Mine wasn't a reserve wig...... not that it'll be able to give me an estimate of when it will arrive...... I just wish they had some kind of confirmation email or sth to put you at ease. If it takes 2-3 months to make and ship, at least they could tell me...... In a way, I feel that I was fooled into this as I may not have ordered from them had I know it would take this long. Then again, I didn't ask around here first did I? Oh well..... I hope the wig will get here by May..... 2 months......
I've ordered one wig direct from their site, non-reservation, and it came in a week. Every other order I've done though has been during a reservation period, and in a group order. They've always taken at least 2-3 months to get the whole order out to us. I think the first two we did took about 4 or 5 months total to get everyone's there and correct. ^^; The latest one I think only took a couple of months or less (not quite sure though, as I was away when they arrived!). It sucks, but Leeke has the best range and quality wigs out there, so I guess we just put up with it. The BJD hobby is all about waiting, so one sort of gets used to it. Like others, I've completely forgotten about what wigs I had ordered sometimes when I eventually do recieve them! It's a bit of a suprise! XD
I know that there's a lot of waiting involved in the hobby but surely having to wait over a month for something that isn't a reservation item is a bit out of order? It just seems like a bit of an excuse for poor service to me, especially when others are getting similar items within two weeks of ordering. When I pay $80 for something (including 20 shipping... yay EMS) I kind of expect said item to be out of their door as soon as humanly possible or atleast some kind of communication if there's a hold up. =/ Or maybe that's just me.
Is it just me or does Leeke's shipping charge seem absolutely outrageous? $50 for five pair of shoes to the US?! I'm new to the world of BJD collecting but have placed much larger orders with several vendors now in Korea and the shipping wasn't anywhere near that. I just did a mock order for 3 pairs of shoes and my shipping came out to $23. I'm in the US too. Maybe you should try ordering again?
Leeke customer service varies widely. I ordered wigs from them through a group order spring of last year and it went fine. My sis and I were in separate group orders in mid-December. She got one wig promptly, the other in early February. The group order I was in was split up into different shipments. I got one wig within a month. The second did not arrive until late February, despite being in stock the whole time! The order was run by Jennifer from Dolls and Friends and she said she emailed Leeke almost every day and bugged them about it, because I wasn't the only one.
I've not ordered from Leeke before because everytime I go to their English website, I see nothing but unsightly complaints on their notice board... so although I liked their wigs, it turned me off a bit. I did however, go to Dollga, because they seem to carry a few Leeke stuff and my order came through very quickly!
NEWS : Got email that they shipped out my order yesterday. Got my fingers crossed that the item is in good shape. Not sure if I still want to buy from them in the future though.... unless they have a wig that really really stuns me.......... Good luck to all those who are still waiting......
Thats a real shame with Leeke ;_; I ordered a wig for me and my friends dolls, and some eyes for her boy and we had no problems. Recieved them in about 4-7 days after the order was placed. So it's saddening to read bad reviews like this..makes me a bit cautious x__X
I waited 1 month for wigs that's not on reserve. I don't know how long reservation item takes though. I just ordered some O_O
I've placed 8 orders with LeekeWorld, though the most recent was in December. All of my orders came about a month and a bit or less after they were ordered. (they use to have it so that in stock wigs shipped within days, but waiting for a wig to come in stock could take what felt like forever) My only negative experience was one group order shipped in two EMS boxes which Leeke didn't tell me was the case, and I nearly had a heart attack when half my group order did not arrive. Most recently, Leeke sent me a wig from my order twice! I've written to tell them they sent the correct wig with my first order, but they insist it was not sent and thus why I now have a second copy. Oh well. I'm sorry about everyone's problems. The wigs are generally really nice and fit so many dolls so well. I find generally the wigs arrive very fast once they have been shipped. Oh, and yes, I think Leeke has some of the most expensive EMS shipping of any company. One of my first orders was 4 wigs and shipping was $36 o_O I paid about that amount to Blue Fairy for shipping for one of my TFs!

This is a big shame to hear. D: I plan to order two-three wigs from them quite soon, simply because the quality is so nice and I love their wigs. I had better prepare for a possibly very long wait.
I ordered 4 reservation wigs last year and it took well over 2 months to get to me........now I only ordered 1 wig and it went thru even tho I had canceled my order....so I asked a question as to if I would get a refund back to my paypal account....well....they said they were sorry for the problem and was making my wig and would ship it out to me once it is done....This is the last time I am ordering from them. I wonder why they are taking so long to make the wigs??

Gah. I ordered my Leeke wigs back on April 1st and I received them sometime in the beginning of May (The date eludes me at the moment). So I only had a month of waiting. Good luck to everyone with their orders though!
I probably should have looked at this post before I sent my order in for 2 wigs a couple days ago... They aren't preorder wigs and they are in stock on the site (as far as I can tell), so I may be in luck, right? I was hoping to get them before Akon this June 2nd, but doesn't look like that'll be the case.
I've always lucked out with Leeke wigs and general Leeke delivery. If your wig was a reservation wig, then there is always, always a long delay of at least 20 business days. During the last reservation period, they just posted an annoucement of when the wigs would be sent. Even with that posting, their message board was flooded with requests from people asking when their wigs would be sent. Someone else makes the wigs for Leeke, who in turn sell them to us. Sometimes issues and delays are out of their hands. Yes, it would be nice if they told us when this happens, but sometimes it takes longer to write an email than to just work on fixing the problem. For wigs they have in stock, as long as nothing in your order is from the reservation, it should ship out fast. I had one sent to me 1 day after I ordered, arrived 3 days later (I was blown away) I've always been happy with my Leeke wigs. I hope those of you who are having problems get your wigs soon.
Well, the day after I sent them this: "Hi. ^_^ It’s been about 4 to 5 days since I've placed my order, and it says on your site that you usually ship or send a shipping notification within 1-2 business days. I was wondering if maybe my order got held up or if the items I bought were out of stock. Thank you, Wendy" They sent me an e-mail to say my order as been shipped. So I shouldn't have to worry now about the wigs getting here late or anything, right?
If you check your order status, you should see a tracking number. this can be used to find out exactly where the wigs are in the postal system.
That doesn\'t always work, because Leeke has a tendency to put the tracking number up long before the items are shipped and sometimes the number is wrong. (this happened to me a couple of times)
Yeah, I tried it earlier today to see if it would work, but it didn't. I'll check later tonight to see if it does.
