I'm here to catch them all!

Hi! I'm new here, but not entirely new to the BJD scene. I have two Gem of Doll so far, fullset Gladys and Brock, and am looking at The Gem Limited Bo Zeya and Ho Chily sets. BJD was really just an inevitable step for me because I'm kind of an art, fashion, and statue freak rolled into one. It's just all so pretty and way better then barbie.

More money too. Can you hear my wallet sobbing?

My current war is with Gladys wig, because her set needs building plans. She has bangs, but they cover down to her cheeks so i have a Saint Bernard dog doll until I fix this. The headband can also go to hell and the shoes are a little meh. Both sets shoes have glued on parts and tied ribbon that cover a cheaper looking shoe of kindergarten design. An Elmers stick died to fix what was falling off.

If anyone knows what the VIP card says, I will marry you.

The second fight is with outfits. For Dika Doll Egretta, the profile says she has shoes but there are none in her promotional photos and I cant find anything review wise for it. She's on wish-list, I'm not buying her for awhile, but if she's supposed to have shoes, where are they??? Almost same with Bo Zeya, they only show side shots or across and her outfit is some kind of exercise bra kimono that your mind cant fill the blanks for.

And I'm definitely too weak hearted to change outfits anytime soon. I got the two I have so far and it's like they're newborns made of easily shattered glass. Don't even breathe at them because Gladys headband is capable of flying. No Joke. Instead of hanging a crystal off of the side of it, they put kinked necklace links on the left that you hide under the band and ends with it being locked/attached to the right. Move it wrong and good luck finding it.

I'll definitely put them up soon. Where did you find Brock? I've been looking for second hand Gem Of Doll and it's almost impossible to find any.

 

You're kidding me. I've been deep diving and couldn't find diddly squat. Would you mind messaging me the group name? If you're interested, I can message you the FB link to someone who is selling a blank limited edition Bo Zeya for a steal. It's cheaper because she needs to be restrung, though.
