Edit: okay finally getting back to this and attempting to make my doll closer to my sketch before using the silicone and resin kit I finally got to make the first resin cast.
I've started with face attempting to keep it as close to what I had size wise as possiable by attempting to shape each piece to the original.

Currently Just a Sketch, I plan to texture the clay to make it fluffy looking
I've based the sculpt off my own cat
(colors, green is rest of arm because I drew the arms kinda behind the body -oops- and red is interior parts that wouldn't be seen otherwise, and blue is string and hooks)

I plan the height to be about Yosd size, but with a more mature body
Also plan to make an alternate chest for making female
Alternate feet in case the attempted joint doesn't work out as well as I'd like
I intend it to have a face plate, the ears will be on the main head not the face plate.
The tail will be cloth on a wire... maybe with some stuffing... depends on how it looks without stuffing.
Also gonna see about making the eyes so they'll fit 14-16mm

I'll be starting to sculpt next week most likely )
I also hope that I'll be able to get this one cast and start selling dolls
(technically the second doll I'll be making... have the thread for the first posted on here... though that was ages ago and the doll got a little big to handle and keep proportions right on :pout this one will be smaller and a lot easier I think)

First off Height comparison, seemed a little short at first but then I was like, derp the feet will make up for that.

think he may be looking a little too foxish, gonna fix the cheek bits to be more up like I'd originally planned and open the eyes in and down a bit.

 

revised face and start of arms (decided to do ears on back of head if not just separate in general (tecnically 2nd revise >.<;; original broke... second I realized was too big after finally bothering to, you know, actually look back at my sketch while working -face palm-) Also bumped out eyes because I'm finally figuring out the pre-planning I need to keep this all looking good.

the more I think on it the more I think I'm gonna try to re-moisten the lower half of the body tomorrow, and once it's not dry any more I'll make it a bit long... I don't think I like how close it is to the torso... or maybe I'll take out a bit and make a center piece... I'll ask one of the teacher type people if they are there which would be least likely to go all XP and such.

I'm working on carving down the face today and getting it to as much of a symmetrical shape as I can. Unfortunately I forgot to grab my camera T^T so I'll probably not have photo updates until Thursday (since I won't be home until tomorrow night)
the carving is going well, though it's super hard to get the texture around the nose to be softer and still show, since that hair is shorter than the rest.

quick update full doll so far next to Lutz Honey delf. (still need to make the knee joints and other hand, then it's all carving from there.
