Just For Fun If you could have only one doll, what would their style and personality be like?

I’ve always tried saving up for a dolk immortality of soul doll, but boy are they expensive and they tend to sell out fast especially the special edition dolls. I always wanted a Levi doll, from Attack on Titan, I love the uniform and his gear is really detailed and captivating and the plain face he sports, really intrigues me. Hoping to save enough and finally be able to buy it second hand.

 

I already know if my collection had to be one doll, it would be one I already have, Pandora (doll chateau Lilly)

She’s a being with skull makeup but runs around in a very color muted version of boho chic these days. Extremely dark sense of humor but all around chill personality. Pretty much a lot in common with my SO (personality wise)

 

Ohh, its so hard for to me to pick just one because I love having multiple dolls and them each having their own unique style/character!

But I think as far as style is concerned, I have to go with all white from head to toe. I just adore the look of characters with snow white hair who always wear elegant pure white clothes to match! An aspect of the hobby that I really enjoy is getting to dress up my dolls in styles/colors that I could never wear myself, and the pure white look has always been my absolute favorite but pretty much no real person can pull it off (imo)~
And for personality...my favorite types of characters are those who are enigmatic, intelligent, coy and who speak in soft melodic tones. Id definitely go with that as I think that particular type of mysterious personality matches perfectly with the pure white style~

I would realllllly like a sculpt that looks like chiaki kuriyama or kaya kiyohara and am having trouble finding a similar sculpt because usually the realistic sculpts look like the ideals like double eyelids, narrow chin and jawline, a small but pronounced nose

These are all very beautiful, but I really love someone that has that wider nose, wide jaw, mono lid with a gentle expression and a fuller body like Unoa Rowan or Unoss body shape is amazing or SID original version by Iplehouse

A custom color, I want something between tan skin and normal skin
not pale like normal skin, but still dark but not tan if it makes sense, like a wheat skin? i dont know the name in english

Style, I like over sized clothing when with a mini skirt or shorts and dark eyeballs and dark hair color

Im boring I like mary sue personality but more shy but well liked

 

I would have a serious mind battle between my Sith Assassin Motesto and my Gentleman Thief Neil.
Both have a very specific style and personality and I think I would end up using a quarter to decide.

 

I would be the cheater who has multiple wigs and eyes (like I don't already) and a ton of clothes in vastly different styles so that they could have multiple personalities. ^_^

But in the true spirit of this Q, I'd probably have a sweet MSD age 17-ish schoolgirl with a uniform and a bunch of casual clothes.

 

I would probably pass if I could only have one, ever. I collect dolls and a collection of one isn't much of a collection. I'd probably spend the time I spend on dolls drawing or writing instead.

 

If I could only have one doll and their personality and style would have to be set...I would die a little inside lol. I think they'd probably be based on myself in personality and would be a cosplayer because I'm a dirty dirty cheat!

I hate this question so much...I have like, five dolls I could just never part with and that's the official number, I could find more.

BUT if I had to choose just one, it would be my Ringdoll K / Dollmore Model hybrid (and I'm keeping all five of his heads!! He's still one doll.). If pressed I will happily admit he's my favorite. He can easily exist without any other dolls from his "storyline" - I had him for several years before starting to put together any of his friends. And I still only have one. He doesn't need wigs because I glued his hair on (money saved!!).

His personality is a little extreme - without going into a lot of backstory, he only just got emotions so he's a grown man with the emotional maturity of a child. He has no control over them and will cry or start laughing for seemingly no reason. He's had to start over completely in his life and he has almost nothing, so everything new makes him happy and excited. He's very clingy with his few friends because he's never had them before. Also he's a wizard. lol. In modern times! Yay urban fantasy!

His style of clothing is forced eccentric. One of the things he lost from his old life was his very large wardrobe of expensive suits....he managed to hang onto one, but it's now worn and in pretty bad shape from wearing it to work (his job is rough). The rest of his clothes were given to him by his friends who have a mean sense of humor....think goodwill meets the children's (girls) department at Target (because that's literally where I shop for him).

So that's John...he's my favorite and I can't part with him. Also he's such an open character other than his physical self (hair and eye color and stuff) I'm not stuck in too much a box with his clothes so he'd be the most fun in the long run.

 

Uggghhh I can never answer these questions. I love all of my dolls and would be hard-pressed to pick one...

But!

If it was a case of me literally only having one doll (as opposed to needing to give up all the others), I would also cheat, and have a doll who is some kind of shapeshifter magical/alien-type of character, so I could dress them up in a million different ways whenever I wanted.
Because I like boy dolls, he would probably be a boy, and he'd be some kind of cosmic ancient being who is all standoffish and/or gruff and prickly, but he really has a heart of gold.

 

If I had to cut back to only one doll, it would be one I already have: Marley (Impldoll Aigne), Lakin (Luts Summer 10/Loongsoul) or Luc (Luts Howl). So I guess moody, regardless. And not a fashion icon.

Marley is a teenage girl, youngest of three, daughter to a nutritionist mom and a dad in advertising. She lives with her parents in an upper class neighborhood, but she hates everything about it. She’s moody, pessimistic and a fan of all things dark. Her style is a mix between emo, punk, goth and comic nerd depending on her mood. She reminds me a lot of myself at 16.

Lakin a grump but also a sweet person. He loves grunge music, animals, rollercoasters, travel, abandoned places, planets, and Disney. He’s very shy and nearly a hermit, but loyal to a fault when he does get close to people. His style is grunge. He shares a lot of interests with me and makes him very easy for me to bond with.

Luc is an aspiring film maker and gun enthusiast. He’s in college right now. He has a very tragic backstory but despite his struggles, he’s generally motivated and determined to achieve his goals. He has two sides-he can be very apathetic and hopeless at times, but he also has a geeky playful side. He has no fashion sense and lives in camo pants or jeans, t-shirts, combat boots or converse, a trench coat and sometimes a hat, either hunting hat or baseball cap. That’s pretty much his entire wardrobe and he doesn’t care if you like it or not. Much of his character was built upon my own experiences with bullying in school and the problems that it caused, so I sympathize with him, he sort of feels like a symbol of my own strength to overcome hardships.

So I guess I kind of cheated here and listed three, but I just can’t choose only one!

 

If I could only have one doll, then it would be my Realfee Penn. he’s small, but not too small. Gosh, he’d be spoiled! Being the only doll he’d have EVERYTHING! As for personality, think Link. Quiet, determined, adventurous, ready to save the day.

Thankfully this is just theoretical, as if my other dolls knew they weren’t THE ONE, yikes....

Good thing you didn't ask what doll because that would be a tough one..I have so many different company dolls is hard to make a decision on just one. I love Resinsoul because of custom colors, Luts dolls have nice stability though their arms don't pose well, Souldoll just has gorgeous dolls all around. Hmm I did just recently get a Aimerai Virginia and she poses nice too..lol.

 

If i could only have one it would probably be a msd sized doll that is customized in a fashion to look like myself. that might be fun, then i wouldn't worry so much about creating a story and making all the characters.

 

Sweet and eccentric personality but dark style, lots of black and deep reds. Similar to myself but a more idealized version of me!

 

I have to admit that if I could only ever have one, it would have to be my Bohemia Rose (my avatar, a Dollzone Anson.) Never before or since has a doll so completely captured my imagination as she did. She was the ultimate flower child...the perfect muse...the truest representative of a by-gone era. So she was all fascination and creativity, wrapped up in nostalgia for me. In fact once she arrived, she instantly eclipsed every other doll I owned at the time and I wound up selling them all but her, and started my collection anew. So yeah, if it had to only be one, it would be my flower child, Bohemia Rose...with her haunting back-story, delicate hothouse flower looks, and vintage Bohemian style.

 

If I could only have one doll. It would probably be my realpuki Buddy. He's easy to make/buy clothes, eyes and wigs for. Easy to take just about anywhere. Scrapbook paper makes for great backgrounds and there are tons of miniatures like furniture, toys etc.
Personality would stay the same. I see him as clever, mischeivous, sometimes clumsy and always kind. Always playing jokes or trying to make wishes come true. Style is modern casual or fantasy, think of a tiny elf that wears elf & human clothes. That's Buddy.

 

If it ever came down to it and I could only have one doll, it's be my first doll, Shiwoo the minifee Shiwoo. His style is pretty frumpy casual, usually t-shirts or hoodies and pants or shorts. Lots or random bracelets and a necklace or two. Basically what he wears currently. His personality is a perpetual young teenager who's always getting into things and sometimes wreaking havoc. Yes, too hard to pick one!

To make it easy, I'd just revert to my first, because I was planning on him being the one and only (that didn't last long, but I did try and think that way!).

And like others, I'd cheat and have him be a sort of cosplayer-- dressing up in different ways with different personalities. I did that for a while way back when, and it was great!

 

I'd probably pick the style and personality of my first doll. I love her and will always have her with me so, yeah... Her style is really anything girlie that bares a lot of skin. She can be a bit of a diva and she loves shopping, clothes and handbags. She's not very cuddly with me but she loves the men, both doll and human. She's very generous to her friends and loves to have adventures outdoors. It's like she's the opposite of me.

 

THIS - I absolutely love the "all white" style. I don't have a doll in that style yet (I'm building my collection slowly) but pretty much every single sculpt on my wish list could fit in this style. I'm going to have a problem when they are all here!

This is hypothetical since I haven't actually handled these dolls yet, but I think if I could only have one doll, it would be my planned DT Elf and Bimong Dandelion hybrid (I have the head) or my incoming Bimong Dandelion 6.5cm head with the new Narae body. She would have a completely white wardrobe except for some occasional forays into Mori styles with muted colors (beige, dusty rose, cream, etc.). And actually they are supposed to be the same character in two different sizes (MSD and SD) so maybe they count as one doll?
