Mini Ice day with a Snow Fox

Where I live now, and have for a while, snow comes roughly once a decade, and ice storms one every 3-5 years. We recently had an ice day. Rain, then freezing temperatures turn everything into an ice sculpture. It's not snow but it's probably as close as we will get for a while. I have been thinking it would be lovely to get some pictures for Orion in the snow, it suits his theme, his outfit, his arctic fox look, etc. so I was eager to get some pictures of him outside.

I got a bunch of pictures and tried to reduce them down to just a few... but it was hard. I'm kind of smitten with his look and style still and I want to show off all the photos. I did manage to reduce it a little.



I've always loved how bjd's seem to change expression with a change in angle.

Also love the ice dripping off the branches and berries.




First thing I tried was to pose him in front of a tree, where the ice looked like "snow" underneath. :

It was a little nerve racking walking out here on complete ice, I was worried I would slip and fall and drop Orion, but I wanted that little bit of "snow" (just lots of ice I think).


Whole thing was slippery ice but I love showing off his full outfit, I think it is cool and beautiful.



I just balanced him against a tree so his feet look a little odd, but it wasn't actually snow, it was covered in solid ice so no way to let his paws sink into the s now.
