I just got back from the Fabric District in NYC

What a fabulous way to spend a day - I love fabric shopping.

Oh wow. This is going on my nonexistent bucket list holy crap.

 

That is some extraordinary fabric! The closest large fabric store where I live is no where near this level. I'm so glad you got to see this place in person

 

Oh, that looks like it would end up being a very expensive trip

 

Oh wow! I’ve never been to the one in New York but I have Been to the Fabric District in Los Angeles and I know how overwhelming it can be! But in an exciting way?! My favorite is bead shopping!

I've also been to the fabric district in L.A. it is definitely overwhelming

I watch Project Runway, and I love when they go fabric shopping at Mood in New York. There is a Mood in LOS Angeles, but it wasn't there yet the last time I went downtown

 

OMG I do too! My mom went to FIDM and shopped there when she was in school. We had fun bringing home fabrics and sewing doll clothes together

 

Love fabric and textiles of all kinds, especially undyed, natural fibers.

 

One thing we did when I worked in theatrical costuming, was we would get a bunch of different fabrics with interesting weaves and textures, then throw them all in the same dye batch. The different fibers and weaves would take the dye differently, creating a wonderful array of shades of the same color.

 

What shop is this? I am hoping to visit NYC in October
