Same, I've never heard of them before, but after looking them up, they have some lovely sculpts. I'd love to know more, especially in terms of re-releasing sculpts. I adore Pim.

I HAVE DOLL NS is similar to Switch NS. But it's a little bit darker than Switch in my opinion. I also did a resin comparison among my dolls. If you would like to see please click it. I believe any bodies that have similarity color to Switch NS will be fine to do a hybrid with a Tune head. BTW the neck hole of Tune head is so narrow. The S-hook of my BJD bodies can't go through it at all. I guess we might have to change the S-hook to a smaller and thinner one before doing a hybrid. Hope it helps.

 

I'm not sure, but if I remember correct, they only do 1 preorder per scuplt. So after the preorder ends, they remove some of the information from the website :0
Tune head was for sale for something between 120-150$, but I'm not sure of the price either since it's been so long

They also don't sell outside their country at the moment. So if you would like join for the preorder, you need to find someone from that area who's willing to order the head for you.

 

@cudnaruza Distant memory NS is paler than I HAVE doll and Switch NS. I believe someone mentions that Distant memory NS is similar to Luts NS. If Switch body is the one you want to buy, I recommend you buying the attractive body over the original one. I have these two bodies and I think it worths the extra money. It poses better and I really enjoy playing the attractive body more than the original one. Switch really did a great job on sculpting the attractive body. The details of this body are gorgeous.

Maybe you can find some information about what year Switch starts to change the NS color to a current one. I have read some information in DOA and someone states that Switch starts to use a new NS color in 2014. Please find more information to confirm it. I'm not quite sure about it.

If you want to do a hybrid between a Tune head and a Switch body, you might have to restring a body. There is a very big knot at the S-hook of the neck part. So there is no way that it can go through the narrow neck hole of a Tune head. Believe me, I already tried it. LOL I'm not sure about the size of the S-hook that can use with a Tune head. Maybe you can try the one that Dollzone uses.

I believe a Tune head is the first-release male head of this company. I think this company always sells their dolls mainly in Korea. So it's so hard to find more information and the price of their products. I talk with the artist and she/ he states that she/ he doesn't have an intention to sell a Tune head overseas during the first release and still not sure that it will be back on sale or not in the future.

 

@cudnaruza I see. If you want to buy a cheaper body for Switch or Distant Memory, you can buy the 65cm or 68cm body from Doll family H. In Taobao Dealer shop, they offer to sell Df-h a 65cm or 68cm body in many skin colors from BJD Korean company such as Switch, Distant Memory, Luts, IOS, and ETC. The price is around $220 - $240 excluding shipping fee. You'll get jointed hands as the gift when you buy the Df-h body, too. I can send you the Taobao link if you would like to know where to buy it.

I also put the Df-h in Switch NS into my resin comparison. It might look a little bit different from real Switch NS in the picture. But it looks almost 100% match in person. This body could be a good option for doing a hybrid with a Tune head or Switch head. Df-h body needs to change the S-hook in order to get through the TUNE head, too.

 

I haven't heard of this company before, but looking at their site, I really love the Tune head.

Now let's cross our fingers that I'm able to find one! I did put wtb pic also to my Instagram in hopes that it would help me getting the message further (to people who don't use DoA). I just need to be extra careful there since there are so many recasts circulating around of Tune ;_;


Oh, and I'm more than happy to hear about bpdy options for hybriding this head! I wish Luts bodies or Dollzone bodies would fit, they are my favourite.

 

I received my Tune a while ago, but I still didn't get him a body. I asked Ihavedoll artist and they said Switch body is compatible with Tune normal skin. But I don't have a Switch body so I can't confirm xD

I just bought Tune head for myself from here, and I'm in search for a body for him at the moment. I would prefer the body to be fairly "cheap" and that Switch attractive body is quite expensive / edit: in what colour should the body be, if ordered from Doll Family? The normal pink one or yellow?

What other bodies would match for Ihavedoll normal skin? I read that AprilStory AS17 body in ns,
Peakswoods 60cm boy body in ns and Akagidoll body Normal skin for example are compatible for Switch Ns. And if I end up buying the Switch body, would the newer resin match for Tune?

 

@Tuulen I have sent you a link via the conversation. I'm not sure about the resin matching between the newest resin color from Switch and I Have Doll. But my 2016 Switch NS is similar to I Have Doll. So I think to buy a Df-h body in Switch Ns might be a good option, too.

Don't know if this is the right place to ask, but does anyone know how different the Tune head is from the Hwayoung head? I haven't ever seen them side by side, and only in pictures, which makes it hard to really tell. They are obviously different, but in terms of one over the other, is there a real honestly good reason why one would be better than the other? Thanks~

 

Here is a comparison thread of them both. Hwayoung is smaller and more stylized version of V, but Tune is closer to his actual looks.
I don't know if one is better than the other. Depends which style you like more. I prefer Tune's looks more but both of them are very beautifully made

Tune is far more easier to find too than Hwayoung and less expensive as well
I ordered Switch body for mine and it should be here by the end of the year. I also joined to group order for Lullaby Poem and got a wig for him as well. It should also arrive at the end of the year!

These will be my fist SD size dolls, as I'm normally into the MSD scene. So we will see how it goes! I'm super excited for the both of us now~~

I think that you'll like this size as well. They are quite big, but I personally love the feel of heavier doll xD It just makes them feel more stable and "real".
Also when you start with scuplts that you feel more connected to, they will most likely make you fall in love with the size. I used to own msd's only as well, but there's something charming in these bigger ones.

 

I was a bit afraid of owning larger dolls because of space and price, but this makes me fell much better about the decision. Thank

 

Hello- I also just adopted an I HAVE DOLL Tune head sculpt in Sweet Beige. He's now off for a face up and wig. Did the body you were getting for your Tune work out? I'm considering a LUTS body. I've found almost nothing on him so I'm really happy to find these threads through other DoA users!

 

I think newer Luts bodies might be too light in colour against the Sweet beige.
It has a perfect match for Switch normal skin though! Mine has the attractive body in normal skin from Switch and I really like the way it looks and the way the match is between the colours ^^

I suggest you to find bodies in colours that match to newer (made after 2016) Switch normal skin.

 

Oh Tune is pretty nice Think I've seen him once or twice, but never knew the company...

 

[chuckles] I'm in danger..... I'm afraid I've fallen head over heels for IHAVEDOLL Lute!! I really love the personality that inspired the sculpt (BTS's Jin has a sense of humor that never fails to brighten a bad day for me ) and even beyond that, the quality of IHAVEDOLL's heads is so delicate and lovely. The detail in the facial features! Honestly, I've seen many pictures of Lute, Tune, and some of the female sculpts like Win and wow, this creator deserves so much more attention! So I suppose that now I'll have to keep an eye on the secondhand market for Lute, while saving up for him too!

Just out of curiosity, though, does anyone happen to know what a sculpt's flat price + EMS shipping is when bought straight from IHAVEDOLL? I'm wondering whether the secondhand prices I'm seeing are indeed what they go for firsthand, or if they're actually driven up by their relative popularity (much like Distant Memory often is!). Thank you!

 

I just bought a Lute head but I am really confused as to what body he should gave. I know there is a similar post here about Ihavedoll Tune, but the Lute head is noticeably smaller than Tune so I am not sure if they would match the same body size.

I heard the Lute doll goes with the 65cm Switch body, but it is hard and expensive to get. But then I was recently told by a Lute doll owner that a 65cm body is too small. They were using a 72cm body.

Does anyone have infomation on what body to get? He is my first doll so I am desperate for everything to go right.

Does anyone know Tune's head size? I have seen measurements for Lute but never for Tune and I know he is known for his larger sized head. So can someone please help me out with the correct sizing?

I know this thread is really old, but it’s worth a shot. I own an IHave Lute head but I can’t find a body that will work for him. I already bought a body that didn’t fit, and I really don’t want to make the same mistake twice. As the company no longer seems to be selling dolls, contacting them doesn’t seem to be an option, and not enough people seem to own these dolls for a general FAQ.

if anyone has a Lute head, or an IHave head, please, please, let me know what body you used!

They both have the same head size according to Ihave! Based on sd17/65cm body. For better proportions (a tendency to prefer small faces), it is compatible with the 70cm body, but depending on the body you may need to customise the head or body’s neck.

Wig size: 8-9 inches

- neck size: 10.8cm

- eye size: 12-14mm (low dome)

 

I have both a Tune and Lute doll head. I own three doll bodies, a Distant Memory 65cm, a Doll Family H 65cm, and a Loongsoul 73.5. If I remember right, I am pretty sure I have tried the heads on all the bodies. I can try again though.

 

The person I bought the Lute head from had him on a 2d 63cm body. It’s interesting to see the versatility of these heads. It’s good to get more information about compatible bodies though, as I learnt my lesson from buying bodies on a whim in the hopes it would hybrid well.
