Mini I finished Fushi (Minifee Sarang22) and did my first Face-Up

Jun 13, 2023

    1. Last week my Minifee Event head and motion line body arrived. I bought them secondhand from two seperate people but they got here only two days apart! This was a very fast project as it literally took me a week from buying the doll parts to having him completely customized  The one thing I would love to do now is sew the outfit he is wearing in the anime (To Your Eternity; he is supposed to represent Fushi) but I have no idea how to make my own patterns .

(I hope I'm posting this in the right place:...( I couldn't find a specific place for face-ups on here so I'm sorry if this should be somewhere else)

He arrived on wednesday and I immediately started his Face-Up on Thursday. (It was a day off luckily). I was so excited for this because it was my first Face-Up.

This is how far I got on Thursday and I just added the gloss Saturday evening after I got home. The only thing left on his face are eyelashes. I couldn't find any nice once locally so I might have to add them later on.

And that's my first ever Face-Up finished:whee: I'm rarely content with what I create and always find some kind of flaw but I'm actually happy with how this turned out :)

I couldn't stop myself and made him fitting eyes on sunday haha. I will make his yellow/greenish eyes too though. I'm not sure if I like the purple too much on this doll.

      Random eye close-up xD

And here he is done! I had this wig laying around because I ordered it with Joels wig. (Wasn't sure what color would suit him more) It was actually what gave me the idea to make a doll of Fushi haha. I might try to make my own yarn wig in the future so I can get the hairstyle to be a bit more accurate.

I haven't had the motivation to take some nice pictures yet so I'm just posting these two from my balcony.

    6. Wonderful work and a lovely doll, well done!!

    7. Looking good, very striking!
For future reference, you can post face ups in the workshop section, either make a project journal, or post in the Critique forum, wichever suits you best.

    8. Thank you ^^ And thanks for the tip!!:whee:

    9. I love the work that you did, it looks really realistic and I love seeing the progress that you made

    10. Thank you ^^ I‘m glad you enjoyed it :>

    11. Oh wow! That faceup is absolutely lovely!!! If you hadn't said it was your first I would have assumed you've done a ton. The eye choice is perfect too, purple is so gorgeous with the face colouring <3 May I ask what you used for the faceup and sealing?

    12. Oh thank you so much :whee::whee: I used „Mister super clear Flat“ as a sealant, „Marie‘s soft pastels“ (I‘ve had them for years because I used to repaint my model horses as a child ), thinned vallejo airbrush paints, watercolor pencils and some acrylic gloss from Decola ^^

    13. It's great. I also have unpainted faces that are waiting for me to put them on, but I don't have an airbrush yet and I don't know if I'll be able to make a decent face up with it...

    14. Thank you ^^I do have an airbrush but my compressor is broken so I did this with pastels and I think it was a pretty straight forward process.

    15. You did amazing! How did you get the eyelashes so well down? I struggle with that the most! I wonder if I need tinier brushes...
