I am not a robot

Jan 26, 2018

    1. I just finished watching this korean show entitled "I am not a robot" and just thought of what if our dolls can really talk to us and understand our emotions.. :aeyepop:

    2. There's a manga I once found that's about a woman who loves BJDs and she spends a lot of time making handmade dolls of her OCs. When she's finally done they end up coming to life (because of the love she put into them?). I don't remember the name. There's another manga called Nui! about stuffed animals also coming to life from being loved. I don't think either of them were ever fully translated, but I like to think that if our dolls could understand emotion then it would be all of the love that is put into them.

I'm a k-drama junkie, so of course I'm going to ask about I Am Not A Robot. I just saw a banner for it on Drama Fever last night, but haven't watched any of it. How is it?

    3. I wish ypu could remember the title of the first manga.. :pout:

Mmmm.. I love the male lead his emotions are pouring all over he is like an emoticon brought into life.. Story wise, it was good but not that good to be very thrilled.. However, the development of every character was great. They are cute made me laugh a couple of times and sad.. So.. Uhmmm a 7.5/10 :3nodding: must watch for people like us..

    4. Speaking of Manga (I am so excited so appologies for the long post:XD:)
Shounen Dolls was very interesting as the protagonist can speak to dolls or hear their emotions and performs exorcism on dolls who became evil spirits
Plant doll (fun read but only if you are prepared for both sweet and sappy stories as well as some pretty horrid scenarios) the whole thing centers around these very expensive dolls that are living, but are technically plants, and live off milk and sugar cookies

(I don't know how you feel about BL/Yaoi but Lovers Doll is a cute story about a doll coming to life from being loved by the owner)
      As for anime:
:blushRosen Maiden is a classic about living Victorian dolls that fight each other (I know Pullip made some based of the dolls in the anime but I also saw what may be a custom but could be a limited release by a company of Shingo?)
:blushANGELIC LAYER is about a girl who takes part in a game that uses dolls to fight in championships by controlling them with your mind! (Chobits is its sequel but that's about robots)
Unbreakable Machine-doll is about automatons but they are technically dolls

    5. Don't worry.. I love these topics as well.. :D
I am more into anime than manga but I do love manga as well. I've known rosen maiden but never really had a chance to watch it. I never knew chobits was a sequel to angelic layer, for real??? :aeyepop:

    6. I was shocked too- there is a scene in Chobits where the professor's wife says something along the line of "I wish they could move on their own" and he makes the first Chobit!

    7. Im going to research on that and maybe re-watch both series.. :XD:
