Just got the shipping notice on my Fei! Can't wait till he arrives now. I find it's gets really exciting and a bit frightening once you know they have shipped.

Because on the one hand, it's like "YAY! FINALLY!" but on the other hand, it's like "What if there's some freak accident in shipping? What if my package gets lost? What if he gets here and we don't actually click? D: " and other such worries.

Senri arrived home today That was the quickest shipping ever! He is really lovely with the beautiful translucent resin that photographs well. He came with a free HZ wig & some yellow eyes. He was really well packed and came in a nice carry bag. I didn't buy him his own cloths yet so he is wearing some borrowed things from my other boys but here's a pic anyway. I have put more in the box opening thread if anyone wants to have a look.

 

So cute... Every time I see someone with a new HZ doll I always wonder why these guys aren't more popular. They really do photograph well and it doesn't really take much to make them look good. Personally I've got to get my hands on one of the tan boys. :d

At the moment I'm thinking to get a second HZ doll soon. Boss is still on my wishlist, and I hope to order him soon. First I should find out which body I should get... my Feng is on the old 65, I have no problems with the single jointed body, but maybe the 62 is a hint better with sitting poses.
I'm a little worried if he is still available, since I cannot find Boss on the HZ Taobao store anymore. He is still listed at DollsSinging/eBay and Mint on Card (where I'm confused about the skin colour options). Does anyone know some news?

 

Looks like MoC has a Boss in stock on the 62cm body but not sure in what color. lots of places are closed until the 18th due to the Chinese New Year. What about the skin color options confuses you? Is it that the white skin is not available for one size?

 

I'm confused because the last I heard was, that the 62 body was only available for white skin, at MoC they say white skin is no longer available and DollsSinging seem to offer all size for every colour. I'm also not sure if MoC has the white skin Boss in Stock ?_? Well, I need to wait until end of February for my next money anyway

 

MoC flip-flopped around (for some reason) on which colors the new & old bodies are available in. As far as I know, DollSinging is correct in offering both colors as they also have the newer sculpts that MoC has never listed. You could always email MoC and ask about it - worst case, you can still order from Ebay.

 

I got an answer from DollsSinging now She told me every colour is available in any size Now I have to decide if I'll get Boss in normal skin or give the white skin another try

Sadomina he looks gorgeous and a bit aloof! I love the expressions the HZ boys have, they are quite different than any other BJDs. They show emotions well often looking brooding or more serious.

Does anyone know if Ya and Guhu are really the same head molds like Boss? (Guhu except of the ears). It's so difficult to tell with the faceups.A while ago I thought I was sure they are the same, but now Jeeryama (eBay) said they were all different heads. Also I cannot tell if the boy wearing the red Guhu outfit is really a Guhu, since he looks exactly like Ya to me ?_?

Also one big question: is Ya the same as FengwuYa and AozheTian?
I have Feng, but at the moment I'm just so confused, that I can't tell now if it's really a Feng. He arrived with the birthcard of Ya (pictures of Ya in ancient outfit), inside the birth card the headline calls him FengWuYa, and the character card which was included is from Tian.
Comapring the noses, I can't believe Ya has the same as Feng or Tian.

This week my Guhu should arrive, I'm already so excited! And one unexpected new member of my doll family arrived yesterday: Schuster Fei - I feel like in HZ Heaven at the moment Fei was really unexpected, even he was living on my wishlist for a long time now, I got a sudden chance to get him. I hope to give him and my incoming Guhu a faceup soon, so I can share some pictures.

My Guhu arrived today!! I hope I can soon share some pictures with faceup (waiting for time and good weather!)
I was quite surprised: he arrived with extra upper part legs, I'm not quite sure yet, but they seem to be longer. Maybe they include them to change the new 62cm body to the hight of the old 65cm ? Did anyone else get such extra parts?
And for his face old, he really looks like Boss to me, seems to be exactly the same mold except his (wonderful) ears.

Hey, I noticed it's gone a bit quiet around here at the moment. Lets see some more pics of everyones gorgeous boys! I seem to have fallen head over heels again for my one and only HZ boy. I would like to see more owner pics of the different sculpts. I've also been looking at Heise's art and comparing the boys to the dolls. I love the way she draws long flowing hair.

Schuster is a lovely sculpt. I should really get my camera out and take some photos. In fact, I might try and do just that today. It's ages since I've put anything in the gallery!

 

Well I never did get around to taking those photos, however I have a question. Does anyone know if the resin that's used now is different from the resin that was used in the older dolls? I was wondering if the newer dolls still have that translucent quality. I can't remember if someone said the resin was different.

 

I bought Senri late last year (he arrived in January) and his resin is very transluscent. I have never seen another HZ doll in person though to compare him too. It's more transludcent than any of my other dolls and you can see light through his fingers easily. I think it's quite pretty and i'm thinking of getting an HZ body for a head I bought from another company if the resin match etc... is ok.

9-10 might be too large... HZ dolls have quite small heads. Mine wear 8-9 and even stretchable 7-8.

I would not try a wig larger than 8-9 on HZ heads.

Also, that wig is very nice, but there are similar wigs like that one for sale. Go take a look at wigs from other companies.

Hi! This is my first post to this thread so I hope I get it right.

I just ordered WangYe after years of wanting him and am so excited to finally be getting him that I read all 800+ posts in this thread! Thanks to all the comments I have ordered clothes and a wig for him that will hopefully all fit so he won't be naked and bald for long. However I do have a couple of questions:

Did the books ever get translated into English?

Does anyone who owns WangYe also own Tian or know of a photo of the two dolls together? I ask because I am considering Tian for my next purchase and would love to see a photo of these two guys side by side.

Congratulations on ordering your boy The HZ boys are so lovely. Can't help with pics as I only have a Schuster fei. When you asked about the books do you mean Heise's art books? If so there is hardly any writing in them they are just full of gorgeous artwork. I have three of them as I love Heise's work.

 

Thanks! He will be my first bjd so I am really anxious to get him. Also a bit afraid that he will become the first of many!! Fei is gorgeous - he was definitely in the running to be my first but somehow WangYe looked like he was just really ticked off that I would even consider anyone else! On the books subject, I read on here that they released three books (in Chinese) about these characters and several people were hoping that they would be translated into English eventually. Because I'm too lazy to reread the entire thread again I "googled" it and it brought up pages 17 and 18 of this thread. Not sure which page the topic started on. Oh, and I agree that Heise's artwork is amazing - so jealous you have three!

 

I remember hearing about the character descriptions now. It would be great to hear more. Look forward to seeing your gorgeous grumpy boy when he arrives

About the artbooks, Mint on Card still have some of them, they are really worth collecting, such wonderful illustrations and some of them even come with pinups, postcards and short comic.
