Huli Dolls!

I've ordered a doll body from her, set to arrive sometime in the new year. Communication has been fantastic, and I'll let you know about the doll when I get it

 

I believe it's 63ish cm, but I personally think the body seems quite slim compared to my other dolls, a Dollshe 26M and a Ringdoll 4.

Maybe a Dollshe 18M (I think there's one in the marketplace, an Arsene?) or the newish Ving slim 68cm?

 

Awesome to hear!!! I'll be sure to post pictures when I get mine. I believe the artist is on DOA as well. She sometimes posts in the doll making subforum.

This is my first 3D printed doll, so I don't know if this an effect of the printing process, or the fact that this was sitting on by porch in 20 F weather, but the knee joints squeak like a creaky wooden door. It's hilarious.

The artist also offered to send me a pair of magnetic hands, as she had just finished designing them, so six hands total. They're a bit corpuscular for my taste but they're lovely.

The arm is also interesting. The 'natural position' it rests at is a slight bend, which I like compared to the ramrod straight ones I see on some dolls. It feels more natural.

It too is extremely veiny.

The body comes with a head, so I chose Julian from the Arcane? I've never heard of it, but I like the head. I was originally planning on using another head, but this one has grown on me for the character I'm making.



He's got a big ole nose, which I'll be shaving down slightly so it's flatter. I think I'd also like to modify his jaw, which is very skinny.


And that's that! I'm not going to put him together until he's warmed to room temp, for fear of the resin behaving badly. But I'll try and have him done by tomorrow, and I'll take some pics with my other dolls to compare the resin.

 

I have one of the heads and just lately I've been eyeing another... maybe the next one, I'll get on the Huli body!

 

I love hulidolls. The artist is so friendly and her work is spot on. The sculpts look so real and like the characters she creates. I own 3 heads and one in the way to me and two full 1/4 dolls. The first head I order I commission it to look like South Korean actor Woo DoHwan. The second and third head are from the main characters of the BL “word of honor” my fifth and sixth dolls are from the Japanese BL drama “Cherry Magic 30 years of virginity can make you a wizard” those are my 1/4 full dolls, and the most recent is a head from Stray Kids Hyunjin (I’m currently waiting to get him.

This are my guys from Cherry Magic I’m currently working on completing them. But they look exactly like the actors.

 

I love Huli.dolls! I ordered a Mads Mikkelsen / Hannibal Lecter head and Hugh Dancy / Will Graham head via their Etsy (ArtbyNatira) and their customer service was seriously other-worldly! I got the Mads head scaled for a Volks SD17 body and the Hugh head scaled for a Volks SDGr. Unfortunately this was back when she still offered only one resin, so they're currently off getting color matched. I can't wait to get them painted, I'm so excited.

 

Oh I just stumbles across them myself and thinking of ordering two ooak from them base upon my boys glad I found this thread
