Huis Ten Bosch Volks Owners Appreciation day event after report! ^__^ (image heavy)

Mar 2, 2007

    1. Hey guys!! Sorry it took so long!:sweat I've been jet lagged and cant get over it! lol

So to sum it up, it was an amazing time!
Besides a little mix-up and being misdirected in the airport, thus missing our flight to Nagasaki, the trip ran smoothly! lol We ended up staying in Tokyo a night, heres some pics from the airport, waiting to board our flight to Nagasaki!

We arrived at Huis Ten Bosch early to look around and the place really is beautiful!

We took pics until it was time to go to the tea party. We waited for a while in the very fancy tea room on big floofy pillowed victorian styled sofas. Then the whole Volks and BTSSB crew arrives in a huge "tour" style bus!! Everyone peered out the windows to catch glances of the Shigetas and the special BTSSB model guest.
After a few minutes, Mr. Shigeta came in with lots of Volks staff and sculptors, they sat right with us (me and my Fiance) to chat!! I was soo googly and excited! We talked for a long while, about various things like our missed flight (he made a very funny "ohh noo" gesture). He loved my Meromi (BW oldskin F-07) and he was soo excited to learn I had a Sei-Tenshi. He told me a big story on how each Sei-Tenshi finds it's owner by destiny, and I was so touched! We met sculptors and told them how much we appreciated their amazing works and talent. Mr.Shigeta left us with a "see you soon" and his lovely daughter Shino, who is Mikeys sister. She stayed with us the whole day to help us with translation.
Here are some pics we took in the tea room (ignore us, we look crazy! lol)-

She asked us a few question about America and our dolls, then if we needed to see the doll doctor. She led us to the Doll Doctors room and we took a number, then wrote our dolls problems. The Doctors were all so pleasent, they fixed up our SD in a jiffy.

    2. After, we went up to our room to change for the dinner party. It started to rain! It didnt matter, because the happy, loving feel of the party overpowered the gloomy weather.:)
They handed us a numbered little paper for the raffle and led us to a table at the very front so translation could be done with ease.
When Mr.Shigeta came out, he was hand in hand with a life size Toppi!! (I couldnt get a good pic! :( )
Mr.Shigeta gave a nice speach about SD and it's fans, then he mention how we flew in from the US and had missed our flight (I was stark red! lol) and how He and the Volks staff was honored, everyone gave us a huge round of applause. I was so greatful to be in the same room with such lovely people!:aheartbea Mr.Shigeta then mentioned every group who traveled from a distance to get there that day, and we clapped for everyone!
We had a salute with a glass of champagne, then we had a lovely dinner. I couldnt eat much, I was sooo excited!

      contin. next post-

    3. After, Mikey and Mr.Shigeta came on stage and announced we would start a reverse auction! It worked that the price would start really high, then work it's way down. They auctioned-
      Yo-tensh yuu
      MSD Hewitt
      SD Liz
      Yo-sd sleepy Kuuta
      Magical Micheal
and I believe 2 others I just cant remember!*_*

The really special part was, their face-ups were done by each dolls personal designer!
After every doll was won by it's owner, Volks and BTSSB set up about 3 tables of give away goodies! First their were various things from BTSSB, then thier were goodies from Shops in Huis Ten Bosch hand picked by the Volks Staff, then, their were 20 Sei-Tenshi, and 10 Rei-Tenshi!!!:D
Saito Yasuka took the stage to talk about himself and BTSSB, then he led the way to start the BTSSB giveaways.
After those were all gone, Volks took the stage again to start the Huis Ten Bosch giveaways, but first they gave cheesecakes to everyone who had a birthday that day!:aheartbea
After those were given, Mr. Shigeta took the stage to talk about th Tenshi, and how special they were to Volks. Then he talked about a new very tiny angel, the Rei. Just then, white gloved Volks staff came pouring down from the stage holding tiny little white boxes. They gave a quick roundabout peep to each table!

Then Mr. Shigeta called numbers for the Tenshi. My Fiance was called for a Sei!:D :fangirl: :aheartbea As he got up to go on stage, everyone gave a huge "yyyyyaaaaaaaayyyyy". It was sooo exciting but funny at the same time because my Ema had the huges bashful grin on his face!

    4. After everything was settled, Volks wished everyone a happy stay, and to not forget to collect our gift at the door (very cute Bath towel with the two lil sd Mascots!! pics soon).
We stuck around to take pics, not know a mind boggeling line would be waiting for us outside the BTSSB suite. lol
      [IMG]

We went back to the hotel, and waited in line to go to the BTSSB exibit.
It was very lovely, and we put in for both one-offs. They said they would announce the winners at a later date.

    10. nathankatt-
Yup it was the "Dream FCS" event! 500,000 Yen!!
Believe it or not, the 3 slots offered were filled during reservation period!
The 3 lucky (and quite wealthy) people were taken to a special grande room specially reserved to do the Dream FCS.
I really hope to one day see what those fans dreamed up!

I think it's funny you got a picture with life size Toppi...while your boyfriend got a shot with the Colonel.

They're just that kind of people. (^_^)

    34. He's an actor best known for playing Ibu Shinji in the Prince of Tennis movie. Now he is becoming a model for Baby the Stars Shine Bright to further promote their Alice and the Pirates line. Since Huis Ten Bosch was kind of a joint effort between Volks and Baby, he was there to advertise for Baby, and was a big hit with the ladies  You can see his blog here.
