Payment How to pay Sadol?

May 16, 2025

    1. I'm trying to buy something from Sadol but the payment process has left me confused and I can't find much helpful info on their website. When paying with Paypal, do I have to wait for a confirmation email for my order (I've received nothing as of yet) or do I just paypal them the sum them with the order number attached? No paypal window popped up when going through with the order, either, so I'm now just a bit puzzled how I'm supposed to proceed :sweat If someone has bought from them recently, I'd appreciate some insight!

    2. I haven't bought from sadol but a lot of korean seller does accept paypal in the method you described. you send it to their paypal, which is listed on the site with your order no. in korea paypal is one of those things only foreigners use so they often don't have the full integration in checkout :sweat
korean seller are also mostly active with their q&a boards if you'd rather confirm the amount before sending, try asking on the q&a if you're a member of their site.

    3. Ahh thanks, that's reassuring! I figured there was no PP integration but I just wish there was the tiniest of a crumb of an instruction :sweat I'll see what they say on the Q&A

    4. Np, hope they'll reply you soon about it :3nodding:
It may have changed, since I was there a decade ago but it was at the time that the most common way to pay online in korea was with a bank transfer, it seems a lil weird to us on the english speaking net who are used to the cart handling everything, but over there that was the norm that the buyer arranges all the money transfer to the seller.
even my husband worked for a korean company until this year and many of them still didn't know or trust anything about google, paypal etc. since they mostly use their own korean services like naver

    5. When I ordered some eyes from them in their sale, I sent them a message saying I wanted to pay via Paypal and they sent me a Paypal money request!

    6. I bought a large order of eyes from them this spring. Like you experienced, no redirect to payment during checkout. I did get a confirmation email though, so.. hmmm.. maybe if yours is not hiding in a spam or advertisements filtered folder, hopefully it will come through for you before long too. :huh?:

I sent from PayPal goods and services to the email address listed on eSadol's Q&A page (it yells at you to log in, but if you just hit OK, then you can scroll down until you see the PayPal logo and their account address is there.)

I attached my order number in the memo, verified my shipping address, and they took care of everything as normal. I got a shipping confirmation email about 2 months later.

If they need to ask you for additional shipping charges, they will email you for that extra whenever the order is otherwise ready to go.

    7. @Cats56 @Lokinta thank you both so much or sharing your experience!

I have gotten no emails from them, also not in the spam. I'm a bit worried if my provider either blocks them or if their system blocks gmail addresses for some reason - unless they send all those out manually? I'll wait and see what they say on the QnA board as it seems like the most sure option to get in touch, looks like their replies take 2-3 days.

    8. Oh.. Gmail.
I have heard of several brands and vendors being unable to get communications through to Gmail users. The Q&A board is the best way to go at this point. Good luck!

    9. If they avoid google products, or for other reasons have high security settings, that would make sense. Perhaps try a real e-mail address instead?
But, yes, it the company has a QnA that's probably the fastest way to get a reply.

    10. Not at all, it's more or less that they have their own korean networks which are all tied to korean SSN. So they just aren't habituated into using it. TLDR but the korean office of my husband's place of work had a lot of issues regarding net security and always had to be reminded not to give out personal data :sweat:sweat

Edit, I misread your response, oops. Yeah, if it's a setting on their email tho it might block google product.

    11. They got back to me through their QnA board and explained how to paypal them so I guess all is solved :) Thank you all for reassuring me about it though!

I, too, think it's more the issue of their system provider blocking google products rather than high security because their site is... not secure at all :sweat

In any case, lesson learned: if anyone needs this for future reference - signing up or buying from Sadol is best done with something that isn't gmail.
