This question inspired by a listen of TLC's 'waterfalls'. (Do you chase waterfalls, or stick to the rivers and lakes that you're used to?) I have BJDs (in house and preordered) from Fairyland, Soul Doll, and YummySweetDolls. I've kind of wondered if I should broaden my variety in makers, but then, when I spent some serious time reviewing dolly profiles last night, I couldn't help but notice that almost every doll that caught my eye was a Fairyland or a Soul Doll (even when I didn't know until I clicked the profile to get all the detailed info!). So I'm not really sure it's worth it to be actively looking at other companies, or if instead I should just be saving more money for the next FL release, etc, etc. How do you approach this aspect of collecting?
I have dolls/pieces from 9 different makers. If I buy more future dolls, I expect I will buy from 4 of those companies I already own dolls from. They just cater to my tastes that well! There's one more company that has caught my eye that I haven't bought from who I would also consider. I'm not throwing other companies out, but I'm not actively searching for more dolls.
For now its only three companies. Ringdoll, Loongsoul and, IOS. I have one 2D doll that I just ordered but he wont be here until much later. Its not so much loyalty to brands, its more that I pick whatever matches my personal tastes + what oc would be good the be in that shell.
I have ordered/received (not counting for sale/sold dolls) from 9 companies: Small artist Chinese: 5 Small artist American: 1 Small artist French: 1 Japanese company: 1 South Korean company: 1 And the one duplicate doll I have (actually the same sculpt) is from an American small artist. I consider small artists to be single artist (or collab) sales on social media with preorders. I’m a sucker for small preorders, even better if it is an OOAK like fullset. Nearly all of these are from Instagram.
Oh wheeeee I feel like it's my moment here I counted to try to make sure it's accurate but for my DoA on topic dolls I have currently (including anything I'm selling because they may or may not ever sell, so this is more accurate) 23 full dolls + 3 floating heads from 32 different companies/ artists (I have almost entirely hybrids and very few repeat companies at the moment) I've been in the hobby a long time sold many of my previous dolls too... So now I'm wondering how many makers I have seen go through my collection. From the beginning, what I wanted to to was experience all the cool dolls I could, so very seldom overall did I buy from the same makers or if I did it was sometimes staggered ownership. I still do have a pretty distinctive preference for types of faces I would say, but I found what I like in many places and it was a fabulous adventure. You should follow your heart though, as to what interests you, not feel like you ought to do things one way or another.
Twelve! Ten of those companies are represented in my collection as heads and/or full dolls: Crobidoll, Doll Leaves, Doll Love, Doll Zone, Fairyland, Latidoll, Luts (both CP and current), Myou, Resinsoul, Volks And two I only have bodies from: Angel of Dream & Infiniti Doll
I purchase dolls based off of what calls to me versus brand loyalty, and I'm not really looking to expand my collection to large numbers. That being said, two of my dolls are from the same company! So I have dolls (full + individual heads) at home or on order from 6 companies (4 on-topic companies: Angell Studio, Asleep Eidolon, Loongsoul, and Luts). :] The most important thing to me is enjoying how a sculpt looks or how well a body performs. The companies that I've ordered from definitely have other dolls that interest me as well, but at the moment I don't feel like they'd add something new enough to warrant purchasing.
30 if you only count the strictly on-topic, human-type dolls in my crew... And if we're counting my pre-Fairyland CP/Delfs and Fairyland dolls all under the same Cerberus Project company heading. It's 44 if you also add in the gaggle of questionably-topical "creatures" in the Menagerie. There are also about half a dozen other companies that I have owned dolls from in the past, but who are no longer represented in the current gang. Some of those companies and artists I only have one or two dolls from. A couple (Volks and Cerberus Project, primarily, with Lati and Soom a bit behind them-) are represented by entire small tribes. I tend to choose based on what I like, though, rather than having any particular loyalty to specific companies, so I've ended up with a varied collection over the years, in spite of having a few obvious favorites. ETA: Just for fun, for On Topic dolls I have... Cerberus Project (CP/Delfs & Fairyland) Volks Soom Luts Iple House LatiDoll Doll Chateau Spirit Doll FECTDoll Elf Doll Dream High Sugarble Argonautica Resin Soul Dream Valley Dollshe DollZone Elf Elly Forever Virginia Freakstyle Granado Doll Love Angel Region Island Doll Unidoll Dollstories Felix Doll Bishonen House ... and a MigiDoll head on an April Story body (The "Once Had but Sold On" companies would be... Gomi Doll, Angel Studio, Fantasy Doll, Only Doll, Miro Doll and Doll Family)
I only follow my heart and my wallet. I have dolls from many different companies and price points, but honestly I sometimes look for a cheaper option if there's a doll that gives me the same sort of vibe from a less expensive company. I don't care who makes them, only if they suit the character I have in mind or they make me feel something. Are there companies I like more than others? Sure! But I don't have anything remotely like brand loyalty I have dolls/heads/bodies (lots of hybrids!) from at least 30 companies/artists.
I've bought dolls from 33 different companies in total but currently only own dolls from 29 companies.
Nine or ten, including my vinyl gang. But there are three companies where the majority of my group come from. Fairyland, Luts, and Dollmore. Edit: Wait, just thought of two more!
I own / have owned 7 different companies' dolls. I am honestly surprised! I currently own 9 dolls. I am ordering from another artist this week and that'll be the 8th maker and 10th doll in my current collection.
Together with the ordered body, I have parts from, I think, 7? companies? Most of my dolls are hybrids, though, so that racks up. I have Dollzone, Doll Legend, Souldoll, Dollmore, Alchemic Labo, Myou and incoming Huajing parts. That makes for 4 full dolls
I have six dolls from four companies: Soom, MigiDoll, LatiDoll, and Volks. The Migidoll dolls have bodies that aren't from Migidoll, but the bodies are from Soom and Volks, so still only four companies all in all!
Ooh now let me think…… currently around 9 or 10 if you count hybrids. If I also count past dolls then that brings the total to 16, no 17. Like most people I have preferences but go with what I like rather than any particular brand loyalty. I have/had from Fairyland, Doll Chateau, Dollzone, Dollstown, Iplehouse, Luts, Tinybear/Sleeping Elf, Leekeworld, Popodoll, Doll Family-H, Missmian, Daisydayes, Kaye Wiggs, Bambicrony, Planetdoll, Happydoll, DIM (minimee), Demon Garden.
I have dolls from 8 different companies and have 3 preordered that are each from companies/artists that I do not have yet. So I will have 33 dolls total from 11 different companies when those come in. I have companies I know I can depend on but others catch my eye and I can’t resist trying them out. I have only sold a total of 3 bjd so my intuition when trying a new company is pretty successful.
I have dolls from two different "brands", Dollzone and Doll Chateau, although they are sister companies, owned by the same larger company so... I guess actually only one? But I have dolls on my wishlist from all different kinds of makers, from the biggies like Soom to very small independent artists. I just need more funds before I can make my collection more diverse LOL
When I was actively looking to buy BJD, over a decade ago. I never paid any attention to whether the sculpts I liked were from a particular maker or another. I just purchased what I knew I loved. I own BJD from five different creators. Six if we count floating heads, and most of those are by SoulDoll, because I do favor their sculpts. However, I never stopped myself from looking at different brands, just because I favor one maker over others. I enjoy purchasing what I love and will always rather not regret not having purchased something I really loved, just because I was trying to be something I am not. I have missed out on certain dolls and head sculpts in the past, due to lack of funds or because I didn't know they were being discontinued. So, I know I much rather own the doll or head sculpts I want to own, than to limit myself for no actual meaningful reason. That is only what matters to me however, owning the toys I love, I know that what works for one doll enthusiast doesn't necessarily work for everyone. Good luck! (:
Counting off-topic brands, I have bought from twenty-one different companies and artists. Fairyland is approximately half of my collection, with more than a third of my collection being their Alan sculpt in particular. So even though I have a huge variety, I also don't.
Dream Valley is like 80-90% of my entire collection at this point, though I also have dolls from: Luts, Resinsoul, Pipos, Dollzone, Digi_Dolls, Seed Arts (an OOAK head), Mystic Kids, Withdoll, Doll Family A, Island Doll… Most of the above are one-offs. I only have my eye on Dream Valley, nowadays.
Currently, my collection consists of: A full MSD from Resinsoul A full MSD from Doll Leaves A MSD body from MYOU A MSD head from Dollzone A full SD from Volks A SD head from Akagi Doll I have plans for more Resinsouls, maybe Doll Leaves (I really like their sculpts), and hopes for some more older Volks SDs
I thought I'd have a wider spread, but then I remembered just how many shiwoos I own WHOOPS. So uh yeah it leans heavily towards Fairyland/Soom because I'm a sucker for fantasy parts, and I really do enjoy CP's older sculpt styles. I think I should probably say more Cerberus Project then Luts or Fairyland because tbh the only real "luts" doll I've bought since CP split off to become Fairyland is the JDF Terra, the rest are all oldschool delfs. ANYWAY, that level of semantic confusion aside: Soom: 10 Fairyland: 8.5 (listen like four of these are just Shiwoo in different sizes and I will not be held accountable) Luts: 3 Summerbird: 2 Leeke: 2 (well, heads at least) Resinsoul: 1.5 And coming in at 1 each for the rest: Bimong, HZDoll, Dollzone, Limhwa, Crobidoll, Withdoll, and Dream Valley. So that's a total of 13 different companies. 17 if you count the ones I've sold on. It's not so much company loyalty such as for a long time, Soom were the only ones doing full fantasy dolls and elaborate fullsets for them. Now, with many things, there's a ton more variety out there.
I'm not sayin' ANYTHING to anyone about multiple Shiwoos. Not. A. Word. Nope. ... Or multiple Breakaways/Itals. .... Or multiple Soom Heliots, for that matter.
I have a big mix! Migidoll: 13 heads Luts: 2 bodies MYOU: 1 body Souldoll: 1 body and 1 head (different doll hybrids) Angel of Dream: 2 full dolls and 1 body Doll Zone: 1 body Volks: 1 body Dollmore: 1 full doll ALM Doll: 1 body Supia: 1 full doll Impldoll: 1 body Little Monica: 1 body Spiritdoll: 1 body BlueBlood Doll: 1 full doll Iplehouse: 1 full doll Fairyland: 1 full doll (and 1 body on the way) ResinSoul: 1 full doll Dreaming Doll: 1 full doll Elfdoll: 1 full doll OfButterfliesNThings: 1full doll Soooo....20 different companies! I clearly have a favorite that I keep going back to, but I also like to branch out and try new things. I can understand how some people really prefer that single company to keep all of the aesthetic matching, but I think I'd get very bored if all of my dolls were the same company. I love the variety!
You could say I’m a Fairyland girlie lol All but two dolls are FL. The other two companies are Doll Chateau and DollZone. I’ve had a few others, but they have since been sold. Honestly, I usually only keep up with what FL is doing. I’ll browse other companies when I’m bored but have little intention to buy. I like my collection being cohesive. And Fairyland just tickles my fancy
Dream Valley, Fairyland, Doll Leaves, SOOM, Resinsoul, Doll Family-H, Withdoll, Doll Zone, Doll Chateau, Dika Doll, Luts, Gem of Doll, Ringdoll, Rap1993, and a couple artist dolls. I mostly prefer fantasy dolls unless I'm trying to shell a specific character that's human (i.e. my Super Sentai/Power Rangers type group).
I pretty much only own small artist BJDs, though two are heads hybridized with Dollzone bodies. So far I have 12 different artists in my collection, but 5 of my dolls are from the same artist (Metis Doll). I have two dolls each from another 3 artists.
Let's see: (in the order of acquisition) Blue Blood Doll - 1 Kids' Sky - 1 full doll Dollmore - 1 full doll Volks - 1 full doll Doll Family H - 1 head Shoushou Doll - 1 full doll + 1 body Doll Family A - 1 body Fenjiexian (Dividing Line) -1 full doll Off-topic - 1 full doll, 1 head Luts - 2 heads Little Monica - 1 head RaMCube - 1 head Ring - 1 full doll Domuya - 1 full doll Telesthesia - 1 full doll IOS (upcoming) -1 full doll + 1 head + 1 body Dream Valley (upcoming) -1full doll Loongsoul (upcoming) - 1 body ... er... yeah. I think I'm a bit of a variety collector. These guys and gals are usually SD and up except for 2 tinies (and one 1/4). Now that I think of it... boy, I'm all over the place! I don't think I can just stay with one company and just get their stuff all the time. It's a big wide world out there, after all!
I think currently I have 16 or so BJD companies represented in my collection~ A large majority of my collection is made up of Souldoll, Volks and Luts dolls though. I'm that type of person that goes to a restaurant and definitely has their 'favorite' dish that they will almost always order 90% of the time.... but that other 10% when I'm feeling super adventurous I go through the menu to find something really different to try. Sometimes I find new favorite dishes, and other times~ I get it once, enjoy it, but decide not to re-order again. It's sorta the same for me and dolls
I currently own 7 dolls (5 at home, 2 on order) and 1 floating head who represent 9 companies/sculptors - some of them are hybrids. All the companies are represented once, either as a hybrid or full doll, except for one - Dollstown - who has the honour of being represented across 3 dolls (1 full doll + 2 hybrids). My full collection demographics are in this thread - why not add to that thread if you like! I've noticed two patterns in my doll buying: (a) I like variety, and not really keen on having dolls that look overly similar to each other, (b) I also have a strong drive towards curation and don't want a big crew. Practically all my recent doll purchases have been from independent sculptors, and so far I've been quite contented to own just one of their sculpts -- because that doll is, to my subjective taste, the "best" one I've found in the sculptor's entire oeuvre at that point in time. If I own "the best", I feel no need to buy anymore from that sculptor, so I can go find more new and interesting resin to own next. So far I've managed to satisfy both my desire for variety and desire for a small crew by curating my crew and wishlist quite ruthlessly. This also goes for bodies, I want my crew to all have different bodies. I don't really do this consciously but that's the pattern I've noticed when I'm thinking of what/whether I want to buy new dolls.
Not brand loyal here, my dolls and floating heads are from 10 companies. DOD: 2 dolls Luts: 1 doll and 3 heads Fairyland: 4 dolls Pipos: 1 doll Soom: 4 dolls and 1 head Iplehouse: 1 doll Plutodoll: 1 head Switch: 1 head Migidoll: 1 head Littlemonica: 1 head I haven't any Chinese doll yet, but will fill the gap soon. I'm not consciously searching for variety, it's only that my desires are limitless.
This is a very interesting question. I had a friend who only collected Luts, and I thought it was wonderful to have such a cohesive collection. But from the very beginning, all the way back in 2006, I began my collection with diversity in mind. I envisioned a fantasy world (somewhat akin to Tim Burton’s “Alice”…in wonderland…where everyone and anyone, both creatures and human alike, could live happily together.) I'm very much an emotionally-connect-in-the-moment buyer, so I had no preconceived plans. I just envisioned my characters and went about seeking out shells for them, regardless of the company. After all these years, however, I have favored certain companies for their quality and ability to match my vision. This is basically how my large crew breaks down: Luts: 14 dolls (what can I say? Their variety is epic!) Dollzone: 8 dolls (once again, stellar variety) Doll Chateau: 7 dolls; Dream Valley: 1 doll (here, it’s the particular aesthetic that draws me) Volks: 6 dolls (love the old school vibe) Fairyland: 6 dolls (love the fantasy character faces of their tiny dolls) Peakswoods: 2 dolls Pipos: 2 dolls Soom: 2 dolls All the rest are single dolls from Amerai, Dearmine, Dollmore, Gem of Doll, Myou, Doll Leaves, and the smaller ateliers Sio2, Kaniboom, Flower and Junior, PicotPrince. So it’s pretty much a mix of diversity and brand loyalty from me.
Let's update this a bit: 1 Bimong head in 1 Myoudoll body. 1 Souldoll doll. 1 Dollsbe doll. 1 DIM head on 1 MiracleDoll body. 2 Dearmine dolls. 1 LUTS doll. I think it depends on what you're looking for, if cohesion for example is important to you or not. For my human-like dolls, I like a certain amount of detail and realism and I'm very picky about their heights too so they don't look off next to each other but exactly how they should be. In the antros' family there is a certain cohesion in size and style too, but also they are mainly unusual animals that caught my attention from the first sight. Dearmine is perfect for that, and so it's LUTS.
9, and only 1 repeating (doll chateau). I love variety (although it has its downsides in terms of clothing and wigs), and I usually settle on one or two sculpts from a company or artist that I love and then my eyes wander elsewhere...
Nearly 20 companies, though not necessarily full dolls. Many of mine are hybrids (some cases heads form companies that don't/didn't do bodies, some heads from compnaies where I didn't like their bodies etc) rather than full dolls from one company. RML Volks DollsTown Luts Elfdoll AiL Minoruworld Unoa Narae Limhwa MerryDollRound CustomHouse Ninodoll Fairyland Banji Dollmore Kaye Wiggs Amooooore Doll There have also been a few others that have since moved on to new homes. Teddy
The majority of my collection is Fairyland though Ive never bought directly from the company Fairyland: 8 Dodollsdream: 3 Doll in Mind: 2 Volks: 1 Cyaoo: 1 Merviaartdolls: 1 Vanidoll: 1
In my current collection I have sculpts from Volks, Luts, Boy & Girl and Crobidoll and a body from Doll Family-H. I've had dolls from other companies (that I've sold/will sell) however.
Currently I own from 6 different companies, but if I count from the dolls in the past that would be an extra 12, so 18 in total so far. I'm not loyal to any company eventhough I've had multiple dolls from one same company both in the past and in the present. I go with what I like and fits and whether it is from the same company or not I do not care.
I have dolls from 3 companies. Two of them are licensed, two i didn't necessarily intend to get dolls from the same company to shell the characters, but it happened to have the best options for what i had in mind of faces and sizes for the characters. the other is an artist doll. i'll probably end up getting a few more dolls from a few other companies eventually.
Alice in Labyrinth (1), Elfdoll (2), Iplehouse (2), Kanadoll (1), MS Doll (1), Nakana (1), Sio2 (2).... and then bodies account for another 4 companies.... so 11 companies currently? But just for heads, over the years, I have owned from 21 different companies/artists. I feel like there have just been faces that hit me over the years, and there are features I know I'm weak to, so when a sculpt lines things up just right I get the bug.
Of my 50 On Topic dolls; they come from 25 different companies/artists. Bobobie, Resinsoul, Obitsu, Dragondoll, Fairyland, Ringdoll, Felixdoll, Dollzone, Impldoll, Blueblood, 5-star, Dream of Doll, LMD, Daisy Dayes, Loongsoul, Dream High Studio, Angelheim, Dollmore, Nobilitydoll, Faewoodsdoll, Mushroom Peddler, Dream Valley, Luts, Iplehouse, and Soom.
I've got two RumpelDoll sculpts and two SartoriaJ dolls, and one Iplehouse JID... not a very diverse collection, but it is mine none the less. lol
Oh, good question! Tonner LUTS SOOM Daisy Dayes Fairyland Lati Doll Leaves Be With You I'm pretty sure that's all of them.
At the moment, I have dolls from Volks (about 75% of my collection), Dollmore, Dollshe and RS Doll. I also have dolls on order from Dollmore, Loongsoul and Volks.
Hee! What a fun question! I don't keep track, but I actively try to buy from different companies every chance I get! I am fascinated by how each company does things a little bit differently. I love comparing how they are engineered when restringing. (I may be a bit odd, though.) If there's a "limit" to my collection, it's that I actively try to avoid owning too many dolls from any particular company, although I shamelessly break my self-imposed rule all the time (Dreaming Doll, Iplehouse, Dream Valley, Dollmore...). Since I only started collecting a few years ago, I also love trying to find old, discontinued doll lines. So if/when I plan to buy another doll, I tend to focus on what I don't have (or have pre-ordered). Hmm - Dollmore, Supiadoll, Iplehouse, Dream Valley, Impldoll, Doll Family A and H, Xagadoll (but only heads - I'd love a Xagadoll big girl body), Resinsoul, Fairyland, Doll Leaves (but only MSD - would love a large DL body), Myou (same), Doll Chateau, ALM (bought and sold), Domuya, Volks (only one SD13 - really tempted by SD16s), Soom (but only Vito - would love the largest size), Granado, Depths Dolls (only a tiny), Minoruworld/old Blue Fairy (but sold the body and would love a large girl), Dreaming Doll, Soul Doll (but only MSD - still want a large girl), Raccoondoll (impatiently waiting for them to release a 1/3 scale body)... I'm sure I'm missing some. I never thought to tabulate all the companies I already own from, though it's always in the back of my mind. I prefer to focus on which companies I don't have and would like to add to my collection. If I have a big girl from a company, I'm satisfied that my collection has a "complete" doll from them.
Seventeen different doll companies, but I have eight Huajing, with two more on order, whereas most of the others stand alone. I have become more selective about my doll purchases, because I’ve sold on a lot of dolls. It’s been a learning curve, but I think I have a good grasp of what works for me now. I have two Doll Chateau (but probably won’t buy anymore as the bodies don’t really work for me), a Doll Family-H (I might look at getting another one of those), Dikadoll, Doll In Mind, Shinydoll, Bimong, Minifee, Maskcatdoll, Charm Doll, Mayakdolls, Frappzilla, Macaron doll, Huajing, Metis doll, Black Cherry, Angel Fantasy, Luts. I would love to get another Shinydoll or Bimong, but finding the former is hard, and the latter I need to budget hard for
All my dolls are from different companies. I like exploring and seeing what out there, so I don't like buying from the same company twice. But now that I know what I like and what I don't (none of the bjds I've brought are bad, they just have different pros and cons), now I'll probably condense my collection and continue buying from companies I like. . . . . . Oh wait, I just realized I do have two dolls that come from the same artist, Miss zoz on instagram. Her Liz and Lis dolls are so adorable and I love their pouty expressions.
I have on-topic dolls from: Resinsoul / Bobobie DollZone Mystic Kid (just a body) 5StarDoll Withdoll Soom Doll Chateau Cherishdoll / Migidoll Lumedoll Lati Fairyland DD-Anne DreamHigh Studio I've made a promise to myself that I will not buy more dolls now - with the exception of DC Jodie if I ever find one, and certain RealPukis if they happen to cross my path. Neither of which is very likely, but you never know...
I have dolls from 10 companies: Volks, Elfdoll, Dollshe, Art Bimong, Dollmore, Glorydoll, Soom, Iplehouse, B&G Doll, and Dollstown.
None of my dolls are from the same company. When looking for a new doll I tend to look at the sculpts rather than by company. Sometimes it ends up being a sculpt I don’t really like but can see potential in and then I go through that company to see if they’ve made anything similar that may fit better for me. Even with this method I haven’t had more than one doll from a company, though there’s been a few close calls in contenders! I think it’d be great to find a company that makes sculpts I always fall in love with, but it just hasn’t happened yet!
2 companies. I didn't even branch out on sculpts from the same company until this year, my entire collection consisted of VOLKS F-01s until Ian came in June and a PUYOODOLL Kumako joined very soon after. I love them all and there are some small artist dolls that I also really enjoy and may someday own but I usually don't like to stray away from the familiar.
I don't have a lot of "brand loyalty" but what I do have are a lot of dolls *cackles manically*. Currently I own 79 dolls and have 42 companies represented. Some of the companies no longer exist. I've been in the hobby for 15 years and in all that time have only sold a body (the floating heads I had all flatly refused to be put on it *sigh*). Resin enters my house but it does not leave. I have.... SoulDoll (various sizes) AoD (various sizes) DollZone (SD) Doll Chateau (various sizes) Dream Valley (50cm boys) Luts (SD) Soom (various sizes) Fairyland (various sizes) Camilla Dynasty (MSD) Akhmel (tiny) Argonautica (tiny) OrientDoll (MSD) Doll-Love (MSD) Illusion Spirit (MSD) Granado (various sizes) ResinSoul (various sizes) Unidoll (SD) Leeke (SD) JeiDoll (SD) Blue Blood Doll (SD) 5Star (SD) Dollshe (SD) ImplDoll (various sizes) Iplehouse (50-ish cm boys) Angel Toast (head only) Miracle Doll (various sizes) Doll Family-A (SD) Raccoon Doll (50cm) Batchix (various sizes) Spirit Doll (SD) Sugarable (various sizes) Dear Mine (MSD) Lume Doll (various sizes) Vita Magica (mature tiny) Obitsu (mature tiny, OT for DoA) Cherish Doll (tiny) HZ (tiny, OT for DoA) Tatania Doll (3D printed 1/12, OT for DoA) BiDoll (SD head only)
There are eight different companies represented in my house Iplehouse, Granado, Luts, Bishounenhouse, Soom, Ringdoll, Dollzone and Telesthesia doll
My crew (as I like to call them) of resin is what I'd consider an eclectic mix. They're a mix of various companies, small artists, and nation of origin—with a few repeats from some, and singles from others. As far as tallies go, let's see.... Impldoll: 3 full girls (and planning on getting one full boy/possibly 2 heads in the future) Dollshe: 1 full, 1 head Doll Leaves: 1 body Telesthesia/Dragon doll: 2 bodies Resinsoul: 1 body, jointed/regular hands Granado: 1 body, 1 head (different body/head types) Fantasia doll: 2 heads (2021 release) Supia: 2 heads Popodoll: 2 bodies, 1 pair jointed hands Spirit doll: 1 body Immortality of Soul: 1 body Loongsoul: 1 full doll (although I use the body for a hybrid) Iplehouse: 1 full (intending to sell the body eventually) Ringdoll: 1 body Arkdoll: 1 body Dream Valley: 1 creature doll Lumedoll: 1 full XMdoll: 1 body Dikadoll: 2 heads (same sculpt) Angelsdoll: 1 head DF-A: 1 head DF-H: 1 head, 1 pair jointed hands Dollzone: 1 head Little Rebel: 1 head Rosen Garden: 1 head Dragonshell: 1 head Fairyland: 1 full Doll Legend: 2 pairs jointed hands incoming: Lost Chronicles, 1 full Honestly....I don't do company loyalty. I focus more on what fits the characters I'm shelling. Some companies/artists might have a wider range of fitting options, but I wouldn't exactly consider it a loyalty thing
Interesting to see the specific company collectors and the wide range collectors! I tend towards the latter, myself; there's only two dolls of mine from the same company. But I have a hybrid, so it evens out on the number of dolls versus the number of companies represented! I've got dolls from: Impldoll Seed Arts (head) / Dollzone (body) Huajing Doll Black Cherry Dolls (this is the one I have two of) Resinsoul (kind of, saving her to sell to a friend) Volks Ringdoll Dream Valley Goblin Tales I've also got two not quite on topic/literally called out in the rules as a grey area of topicality dolls, and they're from different companies/artists as well. I am not super picky about matters like matching proportion. My Impldoll boy and one of my Black Cherry gals are supposed to be siblings, but the former wears a 7-8 wig and the latter wears more like a 5-6! She's a lot shorter than he is, though, so that does help. I mostly just go off of whether I feel drawn to a particular doll before getting it. Most of the time, I'm set with one doll from an artist, though I may find their other dolls pretty.
Currently, I have 32 dolls from 11 different companies. 11 Resinsoul/ BBB 7 Dollzone 3 Withdoll 3 Myou 2 Dreamvalley 1 Dollmore 1 Unoa 1 Peakswoods 1 mystic kids 1 Maskcat doll 1 Iplehouse
At last count: 36 some of the really significant ones included: Twigling: 7 full dolls, 11 heads Soom: 1 full doll, four bodies, 1 set of wings Iplehouse: 1 full doll, 1 head, 1 body, and 1 chest volks: 2 dd bodies, 1 resin body after Twigling, not a lot of other companies compare in terms of numbers. I have an obsession with twigling’s sculpts.
I'm a bit all over the place, with a total of 16 companies: Doll Zone - 6 heads Angel of Dream - 3 bodies Bobobie - 2 full dolls Obitsu - 2 full dolls Impldoll - 1 full doll, 1 body Doll Love - 1 full doll, 1 head Souldoll - 1 full doll Blue Blood Dolls - 1 full doll Mirodoll - 1 full doll 5Star Dolls - 1 full doll Modoll - 1 head Doll In Life - 1 head Fantasy Doll - 2 bodies Angel Street - 1 body Magical-Angel - 1 body Volks - 1 body
