Wait Times How long did you wait for your Volks FCS doll?

I ordered mine in LA Sumika in Dec. 2007 and got my boy in Apr. 2008
but that's probably the only time Volks has delayed shipment from Japan

 

The specific Volks store it was ordered from probably makes a difference. Mine was ordered at Tenshi-no-Sato the last week of February 2009, and was received by my proxy three days ago. She's mailing him to me tomorrow. So for me, the wait was only 6 weeks plus an additional week to be shipped from Japan to the USA.

 

I ordered from Sato last year and the wait was about 6 weeks (to Proxy in Japan)

 

Dolpa 2, Early June to beginning of Sept.

 

Lately, I've been getting dolls ordered with face-up in 5-6 weeks, but if you're ordering through the L.A. Sumika, the shipping wait can really add up.

 

I ordered a tan FCS w/ faceup back in 06 from the LA Sumika and it took about four months total. When I ordered a tan FCS w/ faceup last year from Sato it took about two months, maybe a little less, to get to me in Japan. Most of the hangup in LA is the shipping time from Japan to the states, partly because they tend to ship them in batches.

 

My order for a MSD FCS(through a proxy) was confirmed on February 1, 2009, and I received her on March 12, 2009 (I think...). She arrived much earlier than expected, but then again I was too busy with other things to dwell over the wait.

 

I ordered from LA Sumika in the beginning of July 07, and got him about mid-Oct 07. Pretty fast, considering... not sure how efficient they are now.

 

I ordered from Sato on March 22, 2009 and am awaiting my proxy to receive the doll.

 

Sato tends to have one of the faster turn around times. ^^;;

Anyway for those curious I ordered in person on March 22nd and I want to say my friend in Japan received the doll on April 29th or 30th! O_O

So Tenshi no Sato seems to be running at about 5 week turn around for a FCS with face-up right now.

 

I got my doll in about 10 days time..I thought this was very fast....not happy with the doll..seems I didn't get any eyes...

 

I ordered a plain no eyed bjd from them March 14th 2009 and received it March 21 2009

 

Um, where did you order your doll from? FCS dolls all come with Zoukeimura eyes and if for some odd reason you didn't get eyes with your doll, did you complain about that? I've never heard of a FCS taking less than two weeks, that's nuts!

 

Are you sure you ordered from Volks? All of their dolls come with eyes, for the larger dolls they're hot glued in the doll's head and for MSD kits they would be included in an eye box.

 

My FCS order was placed through a proxy on the 29th of April and arrived at the proxy's residence on June 22nd, I believe. She placed the order at Tenshi No Sato.
