I've been wondering this for a while and I hope I got the right place for it, if not please direct me to the right way! Ofcourse if it has already been discussed please remove. How do you come up with your photostories? Do you take the photos and then relise "Oh this will make a great story" or do you plan the story ahead of time? I don't even have my doll yet and I already came up with at least 5 photostories I can possible do with him unfortunatly most of them deal with multiple dolls well mainly a male and female so it got me thinking I may need to get him a "girlfriend". So then I was wondering I'm sure I'm not the only one who plan stories ahead of time, but surely some may happen after the photos where taken. What is much easier for you the story befor hand or the photos befor hand? I thought this would be an intresting discussion on how photostories come.
I'm probably not the best one to answer this, since I don't do many photostories. The set I'm working on currently. . . well, originally I had it mapped out in advance but during the course of acquiring the few props I needed, I ended up having to change the story a bit. The best laid plans of mice and (resin) men and all. . . Other times, I'll randomly take pictures and a story to match them comes out later. One way is not easier (or better) than the other for me. . . it often gets left to chance or circumstance. Although, if my boys were less reticent maybe I'd get more stories out of them.
