How are patterns attached in the Volks pattern books?

Hi. I am wanting to know if anyone has the Volks Dollfie pattern book volume 2, the red cover one. I sold mine on eBay and SWEAR the patterns are attached inside the book, not loose, and the buyer is telling me the patterns are missing. I can't help but worry they just took them out and are trying to get a refund. Please let me know how those patterns were attached if you have that book. I have another dollfie book where they are loose, but I swear the volume two had them attached inside. Please help

I never took them out or used the book, and for whatever reason I remember white pages being attached to the inside. The other volume I have had them loose, and I checked those last night. I wish I'd taken a picture of the inside cause this is driving me nuts. Either way, they're sending the book back, so I'll look at it then. ;.;
