In case of broken images, view here. _________________________________________ “Oh. My. Gucchi. EwwwWwWw Uri, her ass. It’s so… so...” “Are you ignoring me? You didn’t even look!” “U-Uri? Are you… feeling okay?” *jostle* *gllllance* *offended sound* “!” “Oh, you like that, huh? And what am I, an appetizer? You want me to leave so you can enjoy the entree, you creep?” “Rrrgh! Ungrateful… pervy jerk…” *mutter mutter* _________________________________________ So they're not the most functional couple. Just a short and silly one this time. A much-needed palate-cleanser while I finish up the absolutely massive and much darker installment to come. Thanks for reading! - More stories Instagram
Your girls' style is so cool! It conveys the feeling of summer perfectly, I just love the hat. I always admire how you style and photograph your dolls, and how much attention you put into every litte detail. Uri's expressiveness is amazing - it's almost hard to believe he is a doll.
Good thing I was alone when I read this, so no one heard my big ol' LOL at the last pic -- well done! Gladys, Gladys, Gladys... what are we gonna do with you?
Wonderful! Great photos, great poses, great dolls, funny story. You have such a skill for getting the dolls to look alive!
@RamenDoodles Thanks it was just going to be the first shot until I had an idea about where that lollipop might end up. Funnier still, it stuck far better than expected and he's still sitting on my dining table in this state of disgrace. @evie the kid (The hat was a Hobby Lobby find, held to her wig with blunt crafting pins.) Thank you so much. It's not the best for my sanity, but I do try with the details and it's so nice to hear it is appreciated. I think his neck joint helps a lot with expressiveness. I always see them on the lists of things people don't like in a body, but for a lazy guy like him it's perfect. @beamlette Mission accomplished! Ha, he loves her but boyyyy does she try his patience. There may be a bit of sad subtext beneath the humour, with Mr. Perle having her on some strange meds. Just how much is her own nature we aren't sure. @Lillith That means a lot. These characters are important to me, so seeing them 'breathe' has proven addicting.
I love how you manage to get the little gestures down to an eye roll out of your dolls! Also thank you for the snort laugh! I hope the candy doesn't need to be cut out of the hair
@cobaltconduct It's amazing what a little tilt of the head or a lower angle will do! Lol, it's stuck on with a bit of silicone earplug, so no big deal. I'm just surprised it's held so well.
Your grasp of expression through subtle positioning and angle is nothing short of masterful. CobaltConduct nailed it, that eyeroll is everything. We don't need to see her stick the lolly in his hair: we can picture it immediately with such perfect buildup. Gladys' expressive talking expertly conveys her character, and I am memorized by her hands in every shot.
I love the update to this story! I can't wait for the rest of the darker side but seeing this side of the charaters is so nice and makes the beginning of their story all the more important to build their bond. Great work and I can't wait for any updates you put out in the future.
