Hometown Dolpa Osaka 3

Any news about a Kyoto Dolpa? I'm hoping that they aren't going to have more tenshi to tempt me, but I'm sure that they will.

 

I think since they're holding an Osaka Dolpa they won't be having a Kyoto one. That doesn't mean there won't be Tenshi though, as Sato's anniversary is coming around soon, so...

 

Wow, it's only a month from now! For the sake of my wallet, I hope they don't release anything I have to have.

So, seeing as I just started this hobby around december I do not now how often things are released. What do you think the chance is of another Yo? We just has 2 released for Dolpa16 so the chances are slim yeah?

 

Volks has been releasing Yo's at most of their big Dolpas lately so my guess is this one will have a new Yo as well. There is no way to be sure though. If there is a new Yo and it isn't a sleeping one I will probably get it since I want a companion for Chinatsu.

I'm excited to see what they release though

 

Awesome ^^ One day I hope to have a girl yo and a boy yo but i dont like the sleeping ones much =/ This time I will try everywhere i can if there is a doll I like instead of just hoping I can get it in the Volks USA lottery. And maybe Volks international will get a server upgrade so they can handle all the traffic for the AE

Im much more excited about this Dolpa than Dolpa16. the dolpa 16 clothes wernt all that awesome =/

 

Aww in March? I wont be in Japan until June if I'm lucky T-T. But I'm excited to see the new stuff for this Dollpa

Actually there were no Yos at the last Dolpa in May, I think 15?

Last year there were only 3 dolls for Kyoto Dolpa: Tony, Manabu and Midori. Personally, I think the next Yo release won't be until Dolpa 17 or possibly over the summer. ^^;

It might make sense for another doll in the Harajuku story line which Tony and Kurumi and Hewitt belong to.

 

I'm hoping for a cute open eyed girl yo, or a MSD girl, or a SD/SD13 boy/girl that would fit in my little family (Jun T, Momoko, Shiro T, Cecile, Kai, or another Cyndy!)

I really can't afford a doll right now, but if it WAS a yo, at least those are more affordable. If it is a nice looking SD16 boy I kinda HAVE snatch it this time. Been living in regret since I passed on Yukinojo. I don't want a billion dolls so I am getting much more picky these days...

Wah! Why does Volks keep releasing Cecile and Cyndy (okay, Cyndy only has two releases, but STILL!) and no Sylvie love? all this time on the seven seas with Cecile must have given her quite a tan by now!!!

I go to this Dolpa Last year, I was heavily tired at Kyoto Dolpa for my health, but I want to enjoy this Dolpa and want to try BINGO! (I couldn't participate in it last year, I came home early...T_T)

 

How cool! I think it's on one of those new islands by the new airport out in Osaka Bay.

I found a photo of how big it is, in the bay. Huge! What a great location for the event.

It's being held at Osaka Intex which has been around since at least 2003, since I went to a Comic event there then. ^^;

It's sort of the Osaka equivalent of Big Sight, only not as big. Probably, just like with the Tokyo Dolpa they will only use 1 or two halls.

 

Im missed out on bingo too, at Dolpa 15! My friends went home before they started the bingo, but we stayed long enough to see the one-off 'winners' - Alex

The start time of BINGO is always late and I needed to get up AM 4:00 and leave my home AM5:00 last year...but I live in Osaka! I lost many at Dolpa16, so I expect my luck on Osaka Dolpa

Kellyhime, oh, will you go to Kyoto at that time? Volks has Osaka Dolpa instead of Kyoto Dolpa, so if not, you can get the chance through web

Thank you for letting me know, Ria! Unfortunately, I won't have enough saved up to go until the Tokyo Dolpa in May, but I'll be there! It would be so nice if we could meet there.

 

I'm not going to the Dollpa in Osaka (I have Sato to go to, dash-nabbit!) but I'll be at the Tokyo Dollpa in May too! Maybe we can have a mini-DoA gathering.

The word "Dolpa" is a word created by the japanese (Specifically the company Volks) combining the 2 words "Doll" and "Party". Basically it is a party for dolls. You buy the program (which is also your ticket) then go and view pretty dolls, Buy items made by volks (Both Limited and non-Limited) & small companies, learn how to paint faceups. And listen to the artists talk. Also they sell items for charity, sell lunches, and have a bingo game ^^

I agree! The two things I hate about Dolpas:

1. They dont give us a date soon enough, thus its hard to plan a trip to one.
2. They dont give us pictures soon enough, thus we dont know how much to save ><;;

 

Ack I want to get an elf doll, but I don't know if I can pass on a yo-sd with open eyes.

I hope they have some open eyed yo-sd this time around and some more long dresses.

I'm so glad that I'm getting my state tax return & a sweet bonus from work next month.. even though I should put it in my savings.

Its wonderful that the people that are lucky enough to go.. come back and share their pics.

I could just see myself getting into a bit of trouble if I were to go to a Dolpa... I would have to bring a set amount and NO CCs !

 

I agree on both.. but especially the date part.
