I wish I could have gotten SD Megu, but I could only go for YoMegu at this time. But I am still so happy

 

@AmoraSeth: Congrats!! Yo Megu is so much more harder to get! She was way sold out before it reaches my turn at the sumika!

Wow so that means everyone who entered the lottery for SD Megu got one and Volks are now selling the ones they had left?

 

Or that people didn't pay within the specified time and their order was cancelled.

 

Dumb question, but I am rather tempted by the SD16 version of Megu.... if they have extra stock on the Volks website, does anyone know the probability that any Megu's will end up in stock on VolksUSA?

Not sure if there are two separate pools of dolls, and there was no overstock from the USA lottery...

Maybe it's best there isn't, since impulsive clicky finger wants to add things to carts and check out.

 

It really depends how many sell on the international site. VolksUSA typically gets extras if they do not sell out on the international site. However, if all the extras on the international site sell out in the next few days, none may come here at all. There is no set of rules as to where the extras go, so I tend to buy extras where they show up first.

 

@Dybbuk - I'm having that same temptation. Want to add to cart so badly, want to ask VolksUSA if they will have any later....

 

Invisablewings you can email Volks, the only thing I would worry about is they might tell you they dont know then your back to where you started but it cannot hurt to ask. Volks USA has always been really helpful when I have emailed them in the past.

 

Every time I have emailed to ask if they would get extras, I was told they did not know. Also, sometimes they do get extras, but they only sell them in the store and not online. They are always so nice and helpful, but I just think they honestly do not know.

On another note, I wonder if anyone has relieved shipping notices from the international lottery?

Has Volks had an events in the US recently? Their US representatives were at IDEX (The daughter of Mr. Shigeta I believe) this year but to look, not to show.

I dont think there going to be doing any more event here. it cost a lot of money to have their staff to fly here.

Oh I received my shipping notice for Yo Megu! I am excited to see my girl and pictures of all the other dolpa dolls.

I got an email from VolksUSA about the hands pre-order for Yo-Megu today.
I'm still deciding if I need any of them and which ones.

 

I got the hands pre-order email too but no shipping notice yet. That'd be a nice surprise if she shipped soon since I was all settled in to wait until June

 

I got a hand preorder e-mail, too! I'm so glad they changed it and it's not a lottery!

 

My girl shipped so quickly because I ordered her from the International site during the AE. It typically takes a couple months longer for VolksUSA to get their dolls in as they are shipped via boat to CA. However, since I did order her internationally, I did not get the option for the preorder hands. Oh wells, I am just happy to have my girl and I am excited for June so I can see everyone the second influx of girls

 

I got my little Yo Megu today! So happy! ^____^

Im just beginning to wonder if theyll ever have another NYC Dolpa again. Our last one was nearly 2 years ago. It makes me so sad that we probably are not gettinng one again this year.

 

I've also been wondering this and being all pessimistic about it. Not that I could get all the way to NY anyway.

 

I would love another US event! Personally I would be happy with NY, CA, or even an online event like they have had in the past. I think the on-line events or even the smaller CA events may be easier for them to hold because they do not have to fly in staff.

 

I would gladly go to CA or NY for an event, despite living in the middle of the country. Gives me an excuse to use those banked air miles. An online event would be great, perhaps with a US-exclusive doll?

Aznbutterfly : With blue eyes, she resembles Una/Kira more than Megu... ^^;;; Megu's supposed to have brown eyes... But I love blue eyes, and I love Kira/Una as well, so I don't mind. ^^;;

I remember one year Volks did it as an online Dolpa. Maybe they will do that again and release someone special like SDAlice or Lorina, can you tell Im hinting for them to release these two lol

 

I tried for Yo Megu from all of the US dealers and the Volks USA and the International lotteries and lost all of them! But another doll showed up today!

Una (HTD Kyoto 9 ver.) arrived 2 days early but she is a wedding anniversary gift from my husband who felt bad that I had lost the lottery for Yo Megu and decided to get me a special gift!

I wasn't going to get any extra hands for my Yo-Megu at first but at the last minute for the pre-order today I decided I couldn't pass on the H-03 hands (the closed fist ones).

Thank you everybody! I just read on facebook from Kerbey Lane and Rochelle that Volks has the Kyoto 9 dolls and are packing them up and shipping them out! Everybody should be getting their dolls soon!!!

 

I got the closed fists too. I wanted the praying hands, but looked like they are stuck together. So, I passed on those.

I can't wait to get my little Megu! She's been on my wish list for so very long! I'm getting very antsy and hope that she'll ship sooner rather than later

 

If all of the Yo hands shipped to VolksUSA in the same container, then they should be sending them any day. I got a shipping notice for YoIsao's wig and extra hands a couple of days ago.

 

I also got a notice for my wig that I ordered for Natsuki.....everything was obviously shipped together.

Sorry, I meant the light blue one. You made them?! All of them are beautiful! What kind of eyes did u used on Una?

 

OH! Thank you, I did make them in pink and blue! I think I only have one picture of Una which I shared in this thread and her eyes are her default ones which are Volks Glass Eyes (Cobalt with White Line 16 mm). The doll wearing the blue dress (on flickr) is YoSD Sara and she is wearing Dollshe Urethane eyes (16mm Neutral Grey).

 

essiekl - sorry, I m new with the Yos. Can't tell the different between Una, Sara n Megu. They look all the same to me

 

They are the same actually

 

Please don't be sorry!! They are the same mold so they look exactly alike! Una is just cast in white skin while Megu, Kira, Sara, and Nana are normal skin.
