I just got the email from Volks confirming that I won Yo-Megu! *squee*

 

Congrats to all who won! Could someone tell me how much Yo Megu cost? I'm seduced to join the lottery tomorrow.

This is my first Volks lottery and I'm not sure how to proceed. It sounds like I just wait for them to charge my card. Is that correct?

You will need to convert the yen on the after event site to that of your currency. Google can convert it for you

 

No yo-Megu for me. My order was cancelled by Volks. Sniff. The after event price, last I checked was about $100 more than on the US site. Oh and EMS is more costly too. Having a mental tug of war now about trying for her in the after event.

Does Volks usually have the dolls all ready to go before the lottery or do they still have to be made? Just trying to get an idea of when they might ship.

 

OmG I got my lottery notice that little Yo Megu and Komame are coming HoMe Here! This is my first ever Volks, am in utter shock and AWE.

I just so adore her that I just had to try for her. I have no idea how one checks order status - can't seem to find a login place on Volks USA - does anyone know how this works? Can you bring your Yosd to New York Volks store if you have won the Kyoto Dolpa via LA? In other words, can one bring ones Volks to ceremonies in NY - east coaster question here.

Having a Volk Yo has been an absolute Dream of mine, and Megu just sang to my heart. I am in utter Awe - and sudden completely a newb at how any of this works.

I want to say how very sweet it is on this thread how many people have congratulated the lottery winners - you all are so Wonderful!

Its like the entering the sacred realm of BJD - I am completely thunderstruck.

 

In the confirmation e-mail that you got when you originally entered, there should be a link. It says something like, "You can always find out the status of your order by clicking here: " with the link after.

I can't really help with the rest of your questions, though..

I don't see why not? As long as it's a Volks it should be allowed to take to any Volks stores or events. ^^ That's my understanding of their stores though.

 

Yes, no matter where you won your doll, as long as it is a Volks doll you can take it to any Volks event, no matter where they are held. Congrats on your win!

I won Yo Megu! I still can't believe it! This was my first Volks lottery, so I'm still a little shocked - didn't expect to win my very first one. Now my SD10 Megu will have a little sister! *does the happy dance*

After event for international is March23rd~March27th and for Japan is March 31st?
Another question.Does AE in Japan takes lottery online or at their local Volks stores?

 

I entered the AE as well. I wasn't able to enter the VolksUSA lottery or through the stores, so I figured I try my chances with the international event. I know my chances are much slimmer, but I figured it was worth a shot! Plus, the price difference doesn't scare me that much.

Awww, man. Yo Megu cancelled from Volks not that I expected any better! Wouldn't want to tarnish my perfect losing streak for dolls that aren't over stock for the past 5 years after all!

I guess I can try with the international lottery (uhg, price!) >.< but I always get problems from Volks website!

(Maybe it's a dumb question - but you can only enter intl lottery with a foreign address, correct?)

Yep, the International AE only accepts non-Japanese addresses. You can enter for the Japanese one with a Japanese address. I am sorry to hear you didn't win!

I am such a glutton for punishmant. I put in for the AE for Yo Megu. Still hoping to break my losing streak.

 

But on a positive note she is still cheaper than on YJ. After her last release I tried to find her and I could not find her for less than $1,000 USD which is insane for a yo, IMO.

eleniel, I'm in the same boat. xD I lost every lottery and decided I'd probably just lose again in the AE. My SD Sara will be home fresh with a new faceup. I'm sure she'll cheer me up over my Megu lost. I hope your Ryoya does the same. ^^

 

My last hope is the After Event in Japan for Yo megu or SD Megu ^^

 

I know what you mean eleniel, I LOVE the 4-sisters, and owned a Yo Kira at one point, but ended up selling her. Yet I still love that little Megu! xD

That SD16 Megu is super tempting too, but I wanted Haruka more and was lucky enough to win her. Congrats to the other lottery winners, and best of luck to those of you trying in the international AE! ^^

 

I absolutely adore the Four Sisters mold. It was the sculpt that made me fall in love with BJDs! I really liked the SD16 Megu, but I don't like the body she came on. I'm hoping for a Megu on SDGr body one of these days. Also, was an MSD-sized Four Sisters ever made?

Yes I am with you on this. I see to like them more looking at pictures rather than owning them... kinda odd but I just don't find them appealing enough to play with in person.

I saw SD16 Megu in person yesterday. The new elbow joints are confirmed (by my friend who owns an SDGrG) to be similar to those of SDGr. Impressive posing and Megu has a delicate faceup.

 

Are there indeed 4? Are there any more pictures other then the one up anywhere? OMG that is AWESOME I thought the doll came with an order form did she not?

But only if you entered through Volks USA and WON SD16 Megu, then you'll receive link to this to enter lottery for the hands too. Otherwise it is not available. I did not enter any lottery but I saw the link to this on Volks USA.

 

Does anyone have any idea of how one goes about finding out if the Yosd Megu will have the option of option hands? Or if so, how to find out? There were so many warnings on that lottery I am afraid to just write Volks and ask...I am afraid it will somehow screw up my order...which I realize sounds idiotic, but I have never dealt with them, nor won any lottery before.

 

I was wondering this as well. I'd love to have the opportunity of ordering option hands for mine!

 

The option hands for YoSD Megu will be lottery unlike other YoSD option hands which were pre-order. So with YoSD Megu and SD16 Megu the hands are lottery

(I don't have inside knowledge on this i just ran search on their site) Volks should be sending out that link to those who won lottery directly from them. At that time you can enter the lottery for the hands you want.)

 

Also friendly reminder it is AGAINST the rules to ask to SPLIT or BEG for someone to enter lottery for you in Discussion
