The SDC girls are adorable! Can anyone confirm that Mina and May are the same head sculpt or no?

callasdoll, Framboise mousse and Cassis chantilly were two dolls of One for All for charity auction, they are one of each and sold through auction on Dolpa. Volks does two dolls for it every Dolpa I know pris84 was on this Dolpa, so maybe she know their final price

Their sculpts were Miruku and Kurumi, who are the same sculpt with Miruku being the white skin version and Kurumi the normal skin.

 

Blah- even Volks USA customers have to do the International event. There seems to be better pickings on Y!J auctions.

Is it me- or is it harder to find info on Volks releases lately? Like I didn't see anything about HTD 8, or the Sato events, but I see the dolls on Y!J auctions.

 

I thought it was just me! I'm not seeing anything about HTD 8 anywhere! Am I the only person who fell in love with May and Mina?

 

It's not just you! There was nothing about HTD 8 anywhere! No scans of the guidebook, no squeeing over yet-to-be-released doll, no out fits, NOTHING! It came and went and I didn't even notice!

But for those interested, Mina and Mei are for sale on Y!J for what looks like close to the original prices. If you don't want to wait for the dubious click wars of the AE.

Edit: I ended up deciding that yes, I am that impatient, and snagged a May off YJA. I'm really surprised by the girls' prices and the lack of any major scalping. Mine ended at 59k before proxy fees. Are they really that unpopular?

 

Nope! I'd love to welcome home Mina! But unfortunately have no money to do so atm . Ah well, such is life.

I'm a bit annoyed about this. I liked the option of entering through VolksUSA and/or International, back before they changed their system. Does We Love Dolls still do the lotteries in the US?

I'm glad to hear the prices aren't inflating too much as it gives me some time to save up. Though I am surprised, Mina and May are so cute that I was sure they would be more popular.

 

Same here! Especially since Volks' MSD/SDM's seem to be gaining a bit more popularity lately. I honestly expected these girls to get snapped right up.

Thank you for those links, revien! The last two really help highlight the differences in the girls' face sculpts, which I was having trouble identifying in other pics.

 

I really like Mei and Mina but I can't get one. I'm trying to save for another doll right now and I don't have enough for that let alone a Mina. But they look a bit Charlotte/Coco-ish to me and they are a great size

 

I'm definitely hoping to bring both home.

 

Me too! I really love them both

 

I thought I had made the decision not to try for either Mei or Mina but now I'm having second thoughts, both girls are so cute & pretty but Mei is really pulling at my heartstrings. I just don't want to have regrets later if I don't try.

Did anyone have any success ordering off the site today? It allowed me to pay for my order, but I got an email confirming my order and saying that my item was 'backordered'. Does anyone have any experience ordering from the website and know if that means that the item went out of stock before I could pay for it? :C
