66cm+ Dolls Home at Last :: Dream Valley Alter

After wanting this doll for literal years, my wife helped me order a Dream Valley Alter in normal skin for Christmas. After waiting a little over 5 months, he made it home today.


First things first, the shipping box! Quite large, plus my cat desperately trying to break into it.


Freed the company box from the shipping box. It’s a little damaged at the top left corner, but that’s okay.


Opened the box to reveal… Bubblewrap!


The CoA and cards for my new boy.


Unpacked his horns first. I’m unsure if I’ll use them as the character is supposed to have small horns


Started to free the body of its bubblewrap prison, he has really nice hands!


Managed to free the whole body, the head was in its own cut out foam spot. I really like how lanky and bean pole like the body is!


The moment of truth, let’s reveal the head!


What a beautiful face, I love his delicate smile!

Now it was time to get him dressed and assembled at last. I had everything ready and waiting for him; eyes, wig, outfit, and shoes!


I wrestled with him for 45 minutes to get him dressed, but I won the war in the end! I have also decided that he will get wired the next time I undress him, as he was a slippery noodle while dressing.


I will end this post on this portrait shot of him. I hope I can paint him this week still, he needs to be handsome and gold, as a proper dragon king should be!
