Hi! Very long time no see…

It’s been a long long long time since I posted on here, so reintroductions are in order. Hopefully some of you remember me and I’m looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new people.

I started my BJD journey here in 2015. I lurked for a a month or two before joining August 13 of that year and started posting. It’s actually a bit funny how I stumbled upon BJDs—my daughter had a Pullip and wanted to change the wigs and eyes, so I was googling, viewed some YouTube tutorials, was still googling, and found DoA. I was instantly captivated. The ease of changing eyes and wigs is what really got me—probably because I grew up in the 70s and was never able to find a blonde blue eyed Barbie—you know, so it would look like me.

The first BJD I ordered and had to wait for was Minifee Chloe on a Moe body with the default faceup. I also found an NF head on the Marketplace while I was waiting and found her a Moe body as well. During the wait I started to create their characters and buy things for them. Of course NF was ready first, but then Chloe arrived and it was so exciting!

I named them Coco and Mimi and they were fraternal twins, with Coco being slightly older.

Of course I’d seen amazing custom faceups here on DoA and hoped to eventually do that for them, because I wanted to better reflect the personalities I felt suited them. In November of 2017 I got them back from AngelToast and they looked perfect, absolutely gorgeous. Coco looked more sure of herself and Mimi looked shy instead of seductive. Just look at the difference a custom faceup can make.

I do like some of Fairyland’s faceups, though. My Miwa, Sircca, Maya, pukifees and pukipuki all have default faceups. I just ordered Lami in NS and Kyma in DE, both with company faceups.

I only have 3 doll profiles up, but I have a complete list in my profile.

Excited to chat about dolls and see owner pics.
