Hi everyone !! I’m Saturn (or Meg!) I am new to DoA but I’ve been in and out of the BJD hobby since 2007. I discovered BJD on DeviantArt and became utterly obsessed and fascinated. I got my first doll in 2008 (Angel of Dream Chen) I was just 11 at the time lol. I am now in the process of reviving him and giving him his (very long overdue) first face-up. I’m really excited to share photos here hopefully soon. This hobby is so multifaceted with so many different skills to work on, and that’s what keeps me coming back!!! I’m currently rediscovering my passion in a big way. I’ve been inspired to work on a lot of sewing, I’m about to try making an acrylic yarn wig, and gearing up to try face-ups like I said. I also recently made my first doll purchase with my adult money so I’m excited to share my journey here and hopefully get to know some of y’all. Thanks for reading!!
Hi, nice to meet you! And it seems like you first got fascinated by BJD in similar age to me, haha! Though I only bought one way later, then sold it, then... Here I am :P Good luck with the face-up for the Chen! And yeees, all the skills connected to BJD is almost overwhelming if you can't control yourself, but I saw a great advice here to not think that you have to do everything yourself, and it's probably good to remember! What doll purchase with the Adult Money did you make?
Hello hello!! Welcome! It seems like the 2000s got a lot of people into the hobby (myself included). The DeviantArt bjd community was so fun. I loved seeing all the photos. The crafting aspect of the hobby is so rewarding. I hope you have lots of fun with it!! And do tell us who your new doll is
yay nice to meet you as well! and thank you for the luck haha, I’m nervous but determined!! yes i definitely agree, there’s so much that goes into the hobby and it’s easy to get burnt out! i feel like a good way to avoid the burnout is to look to others for their help and creativity and skill. and of course over all, just pace yourself haha. anyway, I made my Purchase with Resinsoul! I’ve had my eye on one of their sculpts for a few years. I will definitely be posting when she arrives
Hello and welcome. (I only discovered this hobby about a couple of years ago.) Congrats on your first big purchase. And, I hope I will get to see the refreshed face-up on your Angel of Dream Chen and a couple of your completed projects for your dolls.
