Hi there, my name is Cyl and I am back after 10 years!

Hello there! My name is Cyl/Cylunny, I am an artist from Germany and I just freshly turned 29. Around 10 years ago, I got my first BJD: a Crobi Doll Yeon-ho who has been with me ever since. I remember seeing him because an artist I looked up to dearly had just gotten the sculpt and a second 1/3 boy a while back and seeing her post these two made me want one for myself, eventually. When I was 18, I had saved enough money and went ahead regardless of what anyone thought. Fortunately, my parents have always been supportive of my weird artsy endeavours!

I never got around to using DoA back then but..I was younger and could barely afford my first doll x'D. I thought that would be it, and well, for a long time it was. I was too scared to try a faceup (he still has the company one), too worried to ruin my boy, but I would (badly) sew him some clothes and even try my hand at wig making! All in all it was fun, but my art and character design skills back then are not where they are now.

So recently I moved, and was reminded of the existence of BJD. Went on Alice's Collections, looking at what was new in all these years. And oh boy. ALL THE GORGOUS FANTASY SCULPTS. Now, designing characters and selling them is part of what I use to fund my hobbies right now. And I happen to adore making fantasy creatures, with animal legs, tails, ears all of it. Naturally, I was hooked.

Then I saw that Dream Valley, who I had been eyeing, was doing a discontinue event...needless to say I had to go for it: I ordered two dolls, the dragon Syvles and the Phoenix. So, from now on, MSD it is for me - much more portable, take less space, and cheaper than SD too! (Unless it's a super detailed fantasy sculpt but alas, worth it!). My brain went crazy trying to design what I want to do with them, I have had so much fun with it even though it will be months and months until they arrive...I want to customize all of them myself, faceups and get into sewing and suddenly there are so many projects I look forward to. I am hyped, and I really hope I can get these dolls and make them my own!

Soo if anyone would like to chat, share their ideas, or even is a fellow artist with OCs...my DMs are open (unless DoA says otherwise, in which case I have not understood all of it yet).
