    1. Hi everyone! I'm Deer Mann.

      I was introduced to DoA by my European friend, so here I am!

      I am a BJD faceup artist from Taiwan, and I also create styled wigs and nail art for BJDs. I really enjoy taking photos of BJDs, and you can check out some of my photography works on my Instagram.

      I got my first BJD around 2001, a doll from Volks. However, I sold it after about three years. It wasn't until 2019 that I started collecting BJDs again. I love dolls that are sculpted to look like real people; they can fulfill things for me that I can't achieve in real life.

      I have a BJD rock band called Deer Band, and I really love them. I hope you all will too.

      Looking forward to connecting with doll enthusiasts from DoA :)

    2. Hello and welcome! I follow you on Instagram and love your photos and your dolls. So glad to see you here on DoA as well.

      I am also from Taiwan, but I have lived in the US for most of my life. I hope to make a trip back at some point, but I don't know when.

      Your photography is amazing and definitely a source of inspiration!

      It's so nice to see someone from Taiwan!
      You've got wonderful dolls and you're really talented. I hope to see more from the Deer Band!

      I was originally from Taiwan, too. I left Taiwan in 1993 and now I live in Canada. I still speak some Chinese, but I'm not great. I hope I can get my dolls finished so I can take beautiful photos like the ones you have!

      I saw your doll profiles and was intrigued so I checked out your Instagram. You take beautiful pictures, and your face-ups really bring out the lifelike features of your dolls. I'd love to see more of the Deer Band!

    8. Yeah... it's been a long time! I would love to practice my Chinese a little more! :)
      (As long as you don't complain about how bad I am, it's all good! )

      I was hoping to turn my dolls into a band, too. It'll be in a different genre, hopefully. I love all the props you have for your doll band, they look so realistic! Your photos are also dramatic and moody. You're a real inspiration! I'm in the process of moving. I am hoping that when I settle in, I will be able to start taking photos. And hopefully the photos will be 1/2 as good as yours!
