I'm so happy to have joined such an amazing community like DoA – I only regret not doing it sooner! A few words about me: My name is Beata, and dolls have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. So much so that I even dedicated my bachelor's thesis to dolls – imagine that level of commitment! In 2013, I got my first Pullip and… I was hooked. By profession, I’m a graphic designer, but somehow, my only job ended up being sewing 1/6 scale doll clothes and selling them on Etsy. Over time, my passion evolved – I discovered Minifee and the 1/4 scale, but I still felt like something was missing. So… I started creating my own doll. And it turned into a real battle! After many struggles – with my graphic tablet, 3D software, countless hours of analyzing joints (I contemplated the knee like a philosopher!), and endless resin experiments – I'm finally reaching the finish line. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and know that I can win this war! I haven’t shared her anywhere yet, so please give her a warm welcome – the girl’s got stage fright.
Welcome to DoA! That's a lovely doll. Please join us in the doll making forums, if you want to talk doll sculpting or casting.
Hey I'm new here too! Welcome! I hope to be able to make my own dolls too. Just working on my 3D skillz!
