Well! It's been 12 years (almost exactly!) since I posted this haha. A looot has changed in that time. Unfortunately I no longer have any BJD so I'm back to square one starting afresh in the hobby. I've also had a bit of a personal journey in the past few years and I now go by Tabitha; in case it's unclear, yes this means I'm trans haha. Still kicking it down in Melbourne, but I've been spending a lot of time revisiting old interests and hobbies as a form of recovery, and this is one outlet that always helped me express myself. I'm pretty keen to figure out which dolls interest me now, and hopefully find a friend to adopt towards the end of the year. One thing in particular I'd like is to explore my Indian heritage with the hobby Anyway, it's nice to be back, and I promise I'll lurk less this time So uh, oops been a lurker for a while and had yet to post even an introduction, as I just forgot XD anyway, I'm Trent, from Melbourne Australia. I'm still in the process of beginning my collection but the contents will be remaining secret until they arrive :P looking forward to joining in here though
Thanks all looking through, kinda surprising how many Aussies are here haha. Since I have a bit more time now, I figured I'd give a little more info about myself. Political science student and I make orthotics for a living at the moment. Once I have a/some doll(s) of my own I'm planning to start making my own clothing for them, but something I can do already is make shoes using materials from work. I'll put some pictures up soonish, but I'm a bit limited for the upper covers - regular brown pigskin leather as well as various colours of vinyl. I can order pretty much any material I could ever want or need though so once things progress I'll probably start doing that. On another note, as a hobbyist musician I'd like to look into making instruments for dolls too, though I suppose there'd be guides and whatnot if I look around ^^;;
