Hey from PA!

    1. Hi all,

      nice to meet everyone! I'm excited to learn all about bjd stuff, including painting face ups and sculpting. I greatly admire anyone that can sew, but I'm super intimidated by it! Maybe learning how to knit doll clothes first? I've got my first Con coming up in a few weeks in Austin, so if you're at BJDC, please say hi and introduce yourself.

      Generally I'm into creepy, weird, or "arty" dolls - basically, anything that is something a little different. I came into BJDs from OT fashion dolls and I've been slowly selling off that collection now that I've narrowed in on what I'm truly interested in.

    2. Welcome and the great thing about bjd is that there is a doll for everyone. Some find more, but they can be designed to please. Have fun in TX and be safe.

    5. 10/10, I would rather be sewing doll clothes, the idea of painting their faces just fills me with terror because of all the things I am, a makeup artist is decidedly not one of them. Knit clothes look really cute, though, very boho-chic!

    7. Hello friend! I'm also in PA (how about that air quality alert? CRAI, my plans for photoshoots have been shot!)

      Sewing is definitely intimidating but the cost of clothes (and a free sewing machine from a family friend) pushed me to start learning. There are tons of beginner friendly patterns out there luckily and everyone here that I've talked to is friendly and helpful.
