Hesvar #161 - Please Don't Leave Me Kano nervously waits for Ayr to wake up. ======================================================================= I'm trying a new format for my stories that I rather enjoy. It's a comic system where the speech bubbles appear progressively on the photos to follow the action and conversation. You can even select the bubble color scheme and font size. (And text type in speed if you prefer.) Of course such an experience requires a script so it won't work here on the forum. So click on the photo above or the link below for the new story in the new format. Hesvar #161 - Please Don't Leave Me - Comic Edition If you find yourself hating the new format the traditional experience is still available here. Hesvar #161 - Please Don't Leave Me - Classic Edition Or, since it seems the classic format is still the most popular despite my preferences for the comic edition might as well post the classic format below. So here's the long standing presentation: ======================================================================== New and a little lost? Read from the beginning over at BJD Stories. Or Read a summary of the first 149 episodes in Episode 150 - Recap. Kano and Lucius thoroughly cleaned Ayr's arms and hands and Kano has carried her back to their bedroom to rest. *Kano holds Ayr's head on his lap gently stroking her hair.* "Please don't leave me. I've never felt this way about anyone else. You have to wake up." *Ayr wakes up just then.* "What's going on? Who's leaving?" Kano: "No one's leaving now that you're awake. I was pretty sure you'd wake up but I was still a little worried. You were poisoned by Sam's blood I guess, but you're safe now in our bedroom. How do you feel?" Ayr: "I don't know. My head's still a little foggy and everything just seems wrong somehow. Like something's gnawing at my mind that things aren't how they're supposed to be." *Ayr slowly props herself up on one elbow.* "Did you say we're in our bedroom?" Kano: "Yes, but if you're still not feeling right maybe you shouldn't try to sit up." Ayr: "I have to. This is all just wrong." Kano: "What do you mean? What's wrong?" *Ayr finishes propping herself up and feels down her body.* "Oh, thank goodness. I actually am dressed. I thought I must have serious brain or nerve damage. I mean when's the last time I was dressed in our bed? It just feels so wrong. Although actually now that I think about it I'm pretty sure Sam was involved the last time I was dressed in this bed too." Kano: "Haha. Ok, you had me going there. I'll have you know though that if it was up to Lucius you would have been stripped naked and thoroughly washed from head to toe. But I bravely defended your modesty. Now seriously, joking aside, how are you feeling?" *Ayr lies back down into Kano's arms.* "Ha! If that was true either Sam's blood is the source of all our memory problems and I've totally forgotten the true Lucius or I'm in another world as there's no way he would push for that. Poor guy's terrified of nudity. Now if you told me Lucius is the only reason I'm dressed and you were all for stripping me naked *that* I'd believe." Kano: "Hey! I'm not that much of a horn dog, although I did maybe suggest it was the safest action. It wasn't sexual though! And actually you need to thank Lucius when you see him. He cared enough about you to come to help in just his boxers. We were all pretty shocked. But come on, let's really be serious for a minute. How are you feeling?" Ayr: "I really am a little foggy still, but not too bad." *Ayr brings her hand up in front of her face.* "My hand still feels funny too. Hard to describe exactly, kinda numb maybe?" *Ayr opens and closes her hand a few times.* "Everything seems to be working, just feels funny. I'm sure it will pass in time. I mean I woke up so at least some of the effects are diminishing." Kano: "Well, I'm relieved to hear you're doing ok." Ayr: "Actually this whole situation is taking me back to those memories and feelings you've woken in me. Waking up in your arms after a near miss that day. It's making me feel like a frightened little girl. If everyone else is doing ok could we just lie together for a while? Clothes on." Kano: "Of course. And yes, everyone else is fine." *Kano slides down and he lies next to Ayr holding her.* Ayr: "Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not saying Sam could have prevented this and I'm not upset with her, but some part of her knew her blood was dangerous. From what she's said it's the first thing she's ever remembered about herself. Kind of an odd thing to have as your only memory don't you think? And yet what do we remember? Conflict, cruelty, and violence. And for me the fact that death was the only way out. So I know somewhere inside me is a killer. I think she knows that too." Kano: "I don't know. She's always been afraid to fight." Ayr: "Maybe she just wasn't ready to remember the killer she is. I mean it is kind of a shocking realization to have about one's self. I think Sam and Star are our upgrades. Someone wants killers in this world for something and while I know you've killed as an adult I don't think we've accomplished whatever they wanted from us." Kano: "I don't know. I killed the supposedly unkillable Vespin minister. Maybe that's what they wanted. Someone gave me the knowledge and the supplies to build the weapon that did it. And even with that if I'd had any hesitations I'd be the one dead not her. I guess my childhood conditioning served me, and possibly them, well. I mean she was crazy fast. First person to ever get the drop on me. And she did it twice."
The mystery deepens! Whoever "they" are have taken the next step from training flesh-and-blood people for their agenda, to a kind of synthetic being, hm? Kano raises a good point -- maybe "they" wanted the Vespin minister dead, and he happened to be the instrument who accomplished this. Ayr has plenty to think about, as her head clears -- which I hope it does eventually.
Well it's just a theory by Ayr of course. It's possible. Maybe the minister being the target could be why Sam and Star were found as close to Vespi as they were. Too close and they wouldn't have had a chance to get situated, too far and they'd never encounter her. Well at least her sense of humor / sarcasm seems to be intact.
Some very interesting theories, might have to dust of the ol' pin board, and tinfoil hat. *More thinky Tigg noises* Maybe Ayr is in an alternate universe now, Lucius did come to help in his underwear. (I love the last shot, the eyes show deep thoughts and concern.)
Are Ayr's theories more tinfoil hat worthy than some of the other reveals? Like the "gods" of Hesvar? I haven't seen any unexpected goatees on the dolls yet, so maybe still in the same universe.
Ok I finally am in a good spot to reply to this. I've been working overtime for a week and just havent had energy or time to do more than read it. I'm so happy to see Ayr is ok! I am very curious if there will be any lasting side effects though. And her saying she doesn't remember the last time she was clothed in her bed made me laugh so hard. its a good thing my coworkers ignore me on break. I'm surprised she isn't pregnant yet. Unless her having two tails would technically make her a different species. Though Kano doesn't seem the fatherly type so maybe that's a good thing. As always I just adore your posing! They really look so sweet together. Like a real couple. And your props are all so cool too. Love their bed. How many doll beds do you have? Oh I bet all the bedding is just the cutest.
I'm glad someone enjoyed Ayr's sense of humor. Could be her tails, could be their different facial structure. They just may not be the same species. Or maybe they were altered by the people from the first "orphanage". Is Kano too much of a kid himself to be fatherly? Thanks. It was hard to find all the bits of this set after roughly three years. I only have two doll beds, or three if you count the futon.
Quite, big reveals indeed, I will always find room for the tinfoil though. This is true, for now. But, we are now going to start looking for heavy eyeliner and low angled lighting shots, just in case. ^^
Hmmm, some of the dolls have some heavy eyeliner to begin with, and Hesvar isn't such a nice world. Perhaps you should instead be watching for a reduction in eyeliner indicating she's in a happier place.
Pffft... yeah that was amazing. She also has less foxy facial features. So maybe they are just different species. And I guess...I see Kano as more of a laid back wanderer, which doesn't really work well for raising kids. I do think he would be a good father, it would just make him change his lifestyle like... a lot. Has it really been three years? Goodness gracious time flies. I'm glad you were able to find everything.
