Hesvar #160 - Did I Know? Everyone tries to help Ayr in the immediate aftermath of her surprise poisoning. ======================================================================= I'm trying a new format for my stories that I rather enjoy. It's a comic system where the speech bubbles appear progressively on the photos to follow the action and conversation. You can even select the bubble color scheme and font size. (And text type in speed if you prefer.) Of course such an experience requires a script so it won't work here on the forum. So click on the photo above or the link below for the new story in the new format. Hesvar #160 - Did I Know? - Comic Edition If you find yourself hating the new format the traditional experience is still available here. Hesvar #160 - Did I Know? - Classic Edition
Amazing the difference resin quality makes in yellowing. Look at poor Lucius's body, by resin soul, in these photos. Two years ago he was paper white. Now compare that to his ears, by Dear Mine, in the photo from behind. They're still so much more white and they're actually older than the body. His feet, also from Dear Mine, which I intentionally did not photograph are even older and being right next to the body it really stands out the difference in how white they are compared to the body.
Some of my dolls are as old as 11 years and some of them are yellowing noticeably. I hadn't thought to look in terms of companies. Might be instructive. If this episode helps Sam to recover some of her memory it will be interesting. I surely hope Ayr recovers. I'd miss her. As an aside, what doll is Sam? Is she still available?? Thank you for continuing to produce the classic variant of your stories. I much prefer it; perhaps because of it's familiarity.
On one hand, Sam's misgivings should've been heeded; on the other hand, something new has been learned about her, that could be useful. There's also noticeable yellowing with same parts from a company, depending on age. My older WS Volks heads are quite noticeable on much newer Volks bodies. Yellowing is just something we have to reconcile ourselves to with these dolls. I'm fine with either format; like TomB said, I like the older form for its familiarity, but I can comfortably use the new one too. I'm just glad to have continuing stories! Also, I can vicariously enjoy dolls that I wouldn't buy for my self. Nothing against Volks DDs or Dearmine; they don't fit in here in my "world", but I like the characters you've embodied with yours
I've noticed Dear Mine pure white is pretty resilient. Sure you can see some yellowing over the years but it's still recognizable as white. The resinsoul hands and body, not so much. And the body has been fully clothed the whole time so it's not light exposure as it still matches the hands that were out in the light. This is her first hint of remembering something about herself. Whether there's more or not we'll have to see. Ayr seems pretty popular with the readers. (Oddly she was in my last story too even though a completely different character. I must have styled her well.) Volks DD Sakuya, the non-crimson whatever version. She was a limited release like most of their character dolls. The crimson version was a rerelease with a different fullset and slightly different make up. Unless they do a third release she's only available secondhand. You're welcome. I'm a little sad so many choose it over the comic version as it just seems to lifeless to me know, but I understand familiarity has a strong pull. The app is much better now if you only tried early versions. Well no one but Sam forced her to ignore her misgivings. Ayr and Star were both quite clear she didn't have to participate. Assuming Ayr survives with no lasting consequences I'd say they'll all be happy they learned this now in a relatively safe situation. Yeah I know yellowing is a fact of life, and knew it would be especially apparent on pure white. Kind of sad that this one body is so bad though compared to dolls made years before. I'm glad you like my characters. No problem to me if my choice of aesthetic isn't yours. I'm sure everyone has dolls that are absolutely not for them, and even more that are hey that's cool but I don't want to own it.
Poor Sam. She must feel awful. I sure hope Ayr is ok. Though she isn't dead yet so that's good. Lol maybe Sam is radioactive and Ayr will have super powers now. Kano seems rather calm and unworried for having his dream girl poisoned and unconscious on the floor. Yet another reason he is awesome. Keeping his cool under pressure. And holy crap nuggets Lucius has made some serious progress. I gotta ask, does Sam have a faceup? I swear she looks different. Her eyebrows just look...different.
No doubt Sam feels awful. Even Kano tried to reassure her with as you mentioned his dream girl unconscious on the floor. And yes, he's cool under pressure. We've seen that before in the various fights he's been in. As to Lucius he's no doubt made progress, but I think it also matters that in this situation there is no expectation that those boxers are coming off. No dangerous next step. Plus he has a strong distraction with his friend's dream girl possibly dying. Sam has exactly the same faceup she came from the factory with.
I just feel bad for everyone right now. But poor Sam. She must feel so bad. But at least now she knows and can take precautions. That's why I love him so much. Such a chill dude. I hope Ayr makes it. She will probably find this whole thing absolutely fascinating. True. Just...still. Even under an emergency he never really seemed to be ok being in that state of nakedness. I'm proud of him. Though I wonder if he is scared of being intimate with Sam now. Who knows what else is poisonous. That's what I thought just...Maybe its the angles.
Yep, now she knows why she felt it was such a bad idea. I agree Ayr will take this well if she recovers. Ayr seems a fairly positive person in general. A good match for Kano. He hasn't had the best experiences with women it seems. It would fit his track record if something else was poisonous. Poor guy. At least he wouldn't have to worry anymore though right? I don't know what you're seeing. Maybe her wig is back a bit?
Yeah. Maybe she has a bit of physic power. OR its the first sign of her memory coming back. I can't wait to see what happens. Very true. Poor guy. But I am very proud of him. He has come such a long way in such a short time. And wait...what else was poisonous? Other than Lucius's pet. Maybe? Her eyebrows just look more pointed down in the middle? Like she is angry or scowling? I'll go look at her old pics. Or it could be I am on my computer instead of my phone so I can see better.
Nothing else was actually poisonous, I'm just saying he's been hurt by women in the past, thinks he's finally found one he can trust, then she turns out to have poisonous bodily fluids. At least we know her saliva is fine. Unless the faceup gnomes are breaking into my house again I think it's you or the angle. :P
Oh ok! I get what you mean now. And yes. That at least is fine. Hopefully its just her blood that is dangerous. But I am still super happy with how far he has come. Even if they don't get any further this relationship has done wonders for him. Lmao I am certain its me. I do need new glasses.
Oh they are? That is sad...I think they would be happy for Lucius. He is so much better .Though finding out your girlfriend's blood is poisonous might be a deal breaker for some. But if its just a tranquilizer it shouldn't be to bad. You know...we better hope Sam's skin helps keep her safe. I'm not sure how she would survive if she got injured really bad.
They've at least gone silent. Probably gone. It was a long break. You mean because no one could help her?
That is sad. Hopefully they will be back. Its always better when there are more people. Yeah...Without a way to protect from her blood no one would be able to do anything to save her. Though I am kinda curious if maybe Star would be immune to it. Since they are both in similar situations, even they are different species.
Yeah...But there is both Lucius and Ayr. I'm sure between the two of them they will be able to figure something out.
Maybe. They have to work in the limits of the technology available to them though. Like I said rubber gloves would be great, but clearly they don't have them.
Hmmm, interesting. If a little concerning. *Thinky Tiggy noises* Could Sam be another "humanoid" race they have not yet encountered? Or perhaps its not as biological as they assume, perhaps some sort of massively advanced tech such as nanites. *Thinky Tiggy* (Loved all the posing in this one, really captured a sense of urgency and movement.)
Well she does have a different skeletal structure, so that's probably not nanites. Now whether she's all natural or engineered is I guess an open question. Thanks on the posing.
