Hesvar #159 - It's Just a Little Blood Ayr asks Sam and Star for blood samples so she can evaluate their blood chemistry to be prepared in case they're injured in the future. ======================================================================= I'm trying a new format for my stories that I rather enjoy. It's a comic system where the speech bubbles appear progressively on the photos to follow the action and conversation. You can even select the bubble color scheme and font size. (And text type in speed if you prefer.) Of course such an experience requires a script so it won't work here on the forum. So click on the photo above or the link below for the new story in the new format. Hesvar #159 - It's Just a Little Blood - Comic Edition If you find yourself hating the new format the traditional experience is still available here. Well... I wasn't expecting that! Sam must be a non-conventional weapon, as opposed to Star. I hope they can get an antidote for Ayr, as I'm very fond of her character and the doll. Gareth's expertise may be needed for this too. Posting a story link is more efficient, eh? (Am does this too with her photo stories -- /threads/master-of-the-broom-w-io-quinn-moon-shiro.858659/)
My stories occasionally have unexpected twists in them. I just never know where my brain will take things. What? You think Sam and Star are tailor made as weapons? If so Star is definitely the blunt instrument, well, except for the fact she prefers blades. We don't know that the poison is fatal. Although the wire in one of poor Ayr's tails did just break during this story. (Or at least I discovered the break during this story.) She's clearly been around for a while. It is, especially with longer stories like this. It also avoids the inevitable DoA image cache bug that crops up in large image count posts. But really it's the new format that pushed me to do it. I figure if I posted all the photos here it would be less incentive for people to give it a try.
Yay! A new Hesvar story and one with a decidedly unexpected twist. It's these story twists that endearme to this ongoing storyline. Keep up the great work.
Gotta admit I am a bit squeamish about needles but it was totally worth reading through! I hope Ayr is ok! Very interesting about Sam's blood. And skin. I wonder if there are any others like her? Not surprised Star doesn't have a cycle, but Sam not having one just raises more and more questions. I'm really glad I checked the gallery. I hadn't seen this pop up on the homepage.
Well no actual needles involved, just some bits of wire. No one in the stories knows if there are more like Sam and Star or not. Probably best Sam doesn't have a cycle though if her blood is like that. Just more signs she's clearly not a "normal" human. I wondered where you'd been.
I know...but still...I HATE needles with a flaming passion. Real or not. Anyway. Omg I didn't even think about Sam having poisonous periods. That is hilarious and terrifying at the same time. I'm very curious if there is anyone else like either Sam or Star anywhere. Yeah...Them being labeled as comic/ manga threw me. I am so used the green pf the dialogue I didn't notice the blue. I know now though! So I am here again. And just for my two cents I greatly prefer the regular version over the comic version. Its way easier for me to read on my phone, which is how I read these. Thank you for still including the old way.
Never under stood the whole needle thing, but I guess a phobia is a phobia. I don't know how amused the people around Sam would be. I'm sure Sam and Star are curious if there are others like them as well. Such a frustrating situation they're in. Now that there's actually a choice I may stop labeling them at all. So be ready.
I was fine till I had a really bad experience. I haven't been ok since then. Just now getting to the point where i can tolerate it in my hand but if they go for my arm...Nope. Can't do it. Lol yeah...Unless her blood is only toxic when its wet. That would be a bit better at least. Guess it doesn't matter though since she doesn't have one. Oh ok! I will start reading the tittles of new threads. That will make it so I don't miss it at all. Ort I could just come to the photostories thread like I used to when I wasn't here as much. Lol You can always tag me in it too>.<
Hopefully her blood isn't too toxic in general. Don't you "follow" me? I have no idea how that works.
Hopefully its just like a mild tranquilizer and Ayr will just be out for a few hours. be cool if it was like anesthesia. That would be really awesome for Ayr. I do! But i have literally never gotten a notification or anything from it. I have never noticed anything from following people. Doesn't seem to actually do anything except add a little icon on my profile about the people I follow.
Fairly strong tranquilizer or anesthesia I'd say if that tiny amount on the skin can knock an adult out in moments. We know Hesvar already has a form of anesthesia though. I think it puts things in "Your News Feed" under your profile menu. I think that as it says something like follow things to see stuff here.
Very strong. Good thing she got so little on her. Wonder what kind of funny it made her feel? And yeah...But if she just uses Sam's blood she won't have to buy any lol. I can't seem Sam being ok with that though. I think at least for now she would be way to worried about people getting hurt by it. Whoa...Learn something every day. I had no idea that was even there. Good to know.
Given the group as a whole has plenty of money I don't see Sam want to be the "human" anesthesia machine even if her blood is really good for it. Clearly though Hesvar needs rubber gloves.
lol very true. Might come in handy if they are traveling and don't have access to any. You're right...How are they going to handle it now?
I guess they'd just have to get Sam to cut herself open. I don't think she'd be very eager for that though.
Not necessarily. They pretty much all have knives. Just a small cut on her finger should be fine. they wouldn't need much since such a small amount knocked out Ayr.
True, but she also didn't know. Now that they know hopefully they can take some precautions and work around it.
I mean I wouldn't want to either, but I feel like if one of her friends was hurt and she couldn't help them get though the pain she would absolutely cut herself. She is always feeling unhelpful and this would be her way to finally do something for them.
Whoa...That is not the way that was supposed to go. She would cut herself if it would help her friend. I think you got that, but I needed to fix it. sorry. Good lord. Terrible typo there. I think Ayr will survive. I think she wake up in a few hours none the worse for wear. With as little as she got on her and the fact that she wasn't in pain when she passed out, I think it will just be like a tranquilizer.
Yes I got what you meant. I'm just saying if it gets decided Sam's blood is helpful not harmful then she she would do it, but if it's at all harmful it's an entirely different situation. Even if it's "helpful" I think it will take some convincing to Sam since as we've discussed she's pretty upset right now.
Oh yeah absolutely if its harmful there is no way she would ever let anyone near it. I think if it is helpful with enough persuasion she would use it.
I’m so stoked you’re doing Hesvar again - I’ve been away for a long time and only just realised there were new updates, been catching up. Poor Ayr but how exciting to get another snippet of information about Sam.
Welcome back. Glad to see another fan back around. Hopefully Ayr will be ok. I was at least able to repair her tail in the real world.
Oh no! I'm glad its fixed now though. Did you have to make a new one or were you able to patch it up?
Oh sad panda! I'm glad you were able to fix it without needing more. All that fluff probably helps hid stuff too.
Yeah the person that made them found some really nice dense fake fur that I've just never found an equivalent to here in the states. And yes the fur helps hide the issues and the base where it broke is already a bit messed up just from bringing the tails together and the magnet, etc. etc.
I make them now. Some were purchased a decade ago though and all I've done is modify them to use magnets instead of being pinned to clothes.
