Kano: "Hey Luci, we're home." *Lucius doesn't bother looking up from this notebook.* "Awfully early in the morning to be returning from town. I assume you got kicked out of the inn for being too noisy at night again." Ayr: "Actually he was pretty quiet after I put the muzzle and gag on." Lucius: "You did what???" Kano: "Haha. She's just joking. Nothing like that happened." Lucius: "Pity. I'm thinking it was a few months too late." Ayr: "Hey are Sam and Star home? I wanted to ask them something." Lucius: "Star also went to town, but Sam is in her room getting dressed for the day I believe." Ayr: "Thanks. I'll leave you two to chat then." Lucius: "I suppose we should have a talk." Kano: "Wait. Tell him you're just joking." *Ayr leaves for the bedrooms.* Lucius: "We do need to talk. There's increasingly disturbing reports about your behavior of late." Kano: "Hey she was joking. Not that it's really any of your concern anyway." Lucius: "Your intimate adventures are most certainly NOT what I want to talk to you about, although I admit the idea of a muzzle for you is quite appealing. That mouth of yours has created quite a problem." *Lucius walks over and plops down on the couch.* "Who'd I piss off this time? Ayr hasn't mentioned any former lovers in the picture and honestly I was on a bit of dry spell before I hooked up with her because I was so intent on getting some lightweight metal to reach the sky." Lucius: "That's exactly the problem. Your blabbing to everyone that will listen about our discovery of metal from the sky. It seems you've really hit a nerve with the Vespins. Now granted their burning down my house was already a bit of sign on that, but it seems word of their minister's death has spread and now there's actually talks of riots by the Vespins in Singard and possibly even implications beyond that. You were just in town, did you notice anything along those lines?" Kano: "Hmmmm, not really. But honestly I was paying more attention to Ayr than anything else. I guess she did mention that things seemed a bit off in town."
Kano: "But so what anyway? Let the Vespins have a riot. There's not that many of them here and Singard's a big town with plenty of guards. They'll put down any riot quickly enough." Lucius: "I'm actually inclined to agree with you, but your friend Pris was here looking for you and she seemed quite concerned that the Vespins could react even more poorly to their minister's death than they did to your blabbing about metal from the sky. It seems the minister was viewed as some living embodiment of Vespin power or such; nonsensically even rumored to be immortal. A rumor I'll point out we've clearly proven false by the way. Anyway, while I think she was being more than a bit over-dramatic she seems to think this could even lead to a war between Vespi and Singard. Given she is clearly highly educated and actually from Vespi as much as I'd like to I can't completely dismiss her concerns." Kano: "Well that's just great! What are we supposed to do about that? I mean that minister was the one who attacked me not the other way around. I'm not just going to hand myself over the Vespins as some peace offering. Ugh. I don't even want to think about this." *Kano stops speaking with a long sigh.* *Kano leans over and speaks quietly.* "Well, setting all that stuff we can't change aside, let's talk about what really matters. How far did you get with Sam yesterday? Is that what you've been writing about? Observations of your new experiences? Maybe a wish list for next time?" *Lucius responds at his normal volume.* "You're seriously going to take the conversation there. Just like that." Kano: "Yep." *Kano looks away in disgust.* "It's like you never outgrew adolescence. Sex is all you think about." *Kano returns to his normal volume.* "Did you actually have something else to say regarding the Vespins? Something useful?" Lucius: "Maybe you should shut up about the metal from the sky for a while." Kano: "Fine. Done." Lucius: "And perhaps it might be a good idea if we removed our insignia for a while as well." Kano: "I'll think about it. Anything else?" Lucius: "No, I suppose not." Kano: "Ok. Back to Sam then." *Lucius scans the room and leans over a bit to check the passage towards the bedrooms. Kano looks to see what he's looking at.* *Deciding the girls are not approaching at the moment Lucius leans in and talks in a whisper.* "I actually managed to lower my pants in front her without freezing up in fear. We got interrupted before any secrets were revealed but it was quite exhilarating to think about overcoming my fears like that after it was done. I am beginning to believe I may actually be able to go all the way with her. The thought of the act itself and overcoming my fears at the same time is all quite exciting." *Kano replies back in a whisper.* "Way to go. I'm really happy for you. I know you've got the right girl this time." Lucius: "Thank you. Amazingly I think you may very well be right for once." Kano: "I get lucky from time to time. Of course you know the fact you might actually be able to do this means even something as seemingly impossible as war might be possible too." Lucius: "Oh piss off." Kano: "Hehe. Come on Luci, I'm just giving you grief. It's what we do." *Lucius's pet slides towards Kano letting out a hiss.* *Kano quickly slides back away from the pet.* "Whoa! Call off your pet there buddy. Just having a little fun at your expense instead of mine for a change." Lucius: "She hissed so she wasn't going to kill you and yes I know you're just giving me grief. Still I think this gag and muzzle idea of Ayr's is quite a good one."
Yay! I'm glad Kano will chill about the metal for a bit. Hopefully Dawn won't be able find him as easily. Also very curious what the girls are doing. A side note, i love that lamp on the end table. Does it actually light up by chance?
If I remember correctly it's a candle holder. I think I may have had an electric candle in there in some past stories but I don't really recall.
Whoa really? Doesnt look like a candle holder at all to be. I bet its gorgeous if it can actually light up.
Candles aren't really that bright so it's kind of meh. It was lit in another story. BJD Stories - Lounging About
I've generally tried to have things like the heaters or lamps lit when appropriate, but I don't know that it's really worth the effort.
Hopefully they can stay under the radar, as such. I ponder if they would head back to warn at the Golden Eagle Apothecary, but then that could just pull unwanted attention. Lucius look on his face just amuses me, that kind of dead pan but I imagine the eyes roll now and then. Really good fun posing in this one, enjoyed it.
Well I'm sure Lucius won't be going there, but Kano might. I'm sure there's plenty of eye rolling. I wonder how much the character influences the interpretation of the face. Thanks on the posing.
Well Kano just talks too much about that metal from the sky. At least that's Lucius's interest. Not sure about Ayr.
I think its that magic of a good character and the camera capturing that moment, in that sort of shared daydream.
I agree with Lucius' pet -- *hissssssss* This just occurred to me -- maybe Kano didn't deal the death blow to the Minister.
Closet member of the Lucius fan club perhaps? I think we know she's dead at this point, but you're right we don't know that Kano's shot was the actual finishing blow as no one checked that she was actually dead at that moment. So someone could have finished the job after Kano and friends left the scene.
Sneaky indeed. I had no idea there was a Lucius' Pet fan club. It might actually be bigger than the Lucius fan club these days. I wonder how Lucius would feel about that?
