Yes, roughly two and half years later there's another chapter picking up right where the series was mothballed. How far will I get this time? I don't know. Upon a re-read I though it was still a good story so I decided to try and continue. Hopefully some of the old fans are still around and will be happy to see a new chapter. Maybe some new ones will join if I manage to continue for a while as well.

On to the story. I hope you enjoy.



Ellie: "Hey you slob. Hang up that vest. You know Pris likes a clean home."

Seth: "Relax. Ya knows I's gonna hang it up. I's just puttin' on some water for tea first. 'Sides she won'ts be home ta lates tonight."



Seth: "Why's ya so snappy tonights anyways?"

Ellie: "Because you're being especially idiotic today."

Seth: "How so? I's don't feels anymore stupid than usuals."



*Ellie sits down and crosses her arms with a hmph.* "You let Pris go to this event alone tonight. That's how."

Seth: "She always works alones. I's don't see how tonight's any different."

Ellie: "Because it's for a group from Vespi that includes one of her old regulars."



Seth: "Yeah so? I's mean o' course he's gonna wanna see her bein' they's knows each others and such."

Ellie: "It's the 'and such' that should bother you. You do know what a regular means in Pris's old profession don't you?"

Seth: "Uhm, I's guess I's never really thoughts about it. It don't matters though. I's trust Pris and she's not in that profession anymores."

Ellie: "It's not trust in Pris I'm worried about. It's trust in that rich guy from Vespi. I doubt he's one to easily take 'no' for an answer."

Seth: "I's stills trust Pris. I's sure she knows what she's doin'. 'Sides why's ya just mentionin' this now? Her show's probably already startin'."



*Seth and Ellie pause their conversation as they hear the door to their home sliding open.*
Pris: "You two aren't fighting again are you?"

 

Ellie: "Pris! You came to your senses!"

*Seth quickly reaches for his vest.* "Nah. We's just chattin. I's thought today was the big Vespin thingie and you's was gonna be homes late tonight. Everything oks?"

Pris: "It was supposed to be tonight, but it was canceled."



Ellie: "That's a relief. You know you can't be seeing those guys who bought your freedom from Vespi anymore."

Seth: "Why's was it canceled?"

Pris: "The Vespins were all very agitated and were in no mood for a show. Actually I almost felt like they were going to start a riot."

Ellie: "Well that's a stroke of luck."

Seth: "What's they's so upsets about?"



Pris: "I'm not sure actually. I knew better than to ask. It's not my place to question people of that caste. And Ellie I told you before that your fears are unfounded. I have no doubt this man would be happy for me to have found someone special. Not everyone's as bad as you assume. Well I'm going to put these shoes away. Seth would you like me to hang up that vest you've been hiding?"

Seth: "Oh, hehs. Yes please."

Ellie: "Seth's simpleton attitudes are rubbing off on you. I can't believe this man would be happy to know you're off the market."



Pris: "Ellie this man was never interested in me that way. He sponsored me for my other arts. Seth, I'm not sure what tea you were planning to make but if it's ok with you I think some red would be nice."

Seth: "Oh's sure. I's easy."

Ellie: "Well what's wrong with this guy that he's not interested in you that way?"

Pris: "Well let's just say he might be happy to hear Seth's easy."

Ellie: "Oooh. I get it. Why didn't you say so earlier?"

Pris: "Because you should trust my judgement enough by now that I don't have to give you such details."

Ellie: "Hmph."



*Seth adds the leaves to the hot water while Pris gets the cups.*

Pris: "Did you want a cup Ellie?"

Ellie: "No thanks. I'm not really thirsty and red's not my favorite anyway."

Seth: "Heys, thinkin' 'bouts them Vespins bein' upset, I's actually heards some rumors in the fields a few days ago abouts some Vespin Minister or something being murdered in Singard. Maybe that's whats they's so upsets about."



Pris: "Which minister?"

Seth: "I's don't know. Something fancy likes culture an' money."

Pris: "The Vespin Minister of Culture and Finance was murdered?!?"

Seth: "It's justs a rumor."

Pris: "The Minister of Culture and Finance is the strongest individual in all of Vespi, maybe all the world. There's no way she was killed on the streets of Singard. I mean until Kano encountered her on his trip to Vespi I'd never even heard of her being injured....Oh no."

 

You were the one person I was pretty certain would be happy to see this story. I will have to be more careful this time if it's going to have a chance of continuing. I'm pretty rusty so this one definitely took longer than it should have to make. At least I hope that's the reason.

I'm curious to see how things will go as well. In story and outside the story.

They are a lot of work, especially with the always changing sets in Hesvar. I wouldn't be surprised if some sets have some continuity errors.

 

More fans! I'm glad some of you are still around and still interested. I'm also glad to see Seth get some love. I've never felt he's been the most popular of characters. Such a good honest guy.
